Nevaeh had been at the library, studying, when her dad had called. That's why she hadn't picked up. She had put her phone on vibrate. But she never answered her phone at the library. When she finally left, it was when the library was closing. Which was about 9 at night. And once she began walking down the street, Nevaeh checked her voicemail. Don't go home? Okay, but she couldn't help but wonder why. And she did not think that it would hurt to stop by the house real quick. So that she could grab a few things to take with her.
As she reached the front door, Nevaeh pulled her house key from her purse and unlocked the door. She went straight upstairs and walked into her room, starting to pack up a few things to take with her.

When Jack returned, the sight stunned him. There was police tape around the shed. And in front of the house had been police cars. And there she was. Rhean was questioning the neighbors. The boy hid, stayed out of sight from the police. He was a patient teenager, and eventually they left. He waited until all the police cars had left. The tape was still there. But he could deal with that. He no longer cared if Rumor lived or died, if she was still in the shed or not. He wanted to get in, get his things, and get out.
And then here came the blond. Jack slunk down deeper in the bushes he was in, behind the tree. He could see her, but she couldn't see him. She lived here, apparently. Because she pulled a key out. As soon as he was inside, he came out from hiding. He moved stealthily, walking around the house to the backyard. He looked around before ducking under the police tape, careful not to touch it, and put a glove on before he opened the shed, shining his light into it.
She was gone. That much was expected. But his things--most of his things were cleared out. Jack swallowed. There were still a few things left, and he decided he would get those now before anyone had a chance to. He slid his backpack off and opened it, going further inside. The door slammed shut, but he was too focused on saving his things to care about the noise. Police weren't here, anyway.

Nevaeh was just finished up her packing when she heard it. Slam! Was that a door? What was it? Leaving her bag on her bed, Nevaeh walked slowly downstairs. Making sure to remain quiet. Just in case. She walked to the backdoor and opened it, slowly. "Hello?" It was then that she noticed the police tape. She swallowed. What was going on. She looked aound outside. Shaking her head, she was about to head back inside.

Jack froze. Shit. He grabbed a knife out of his bag. Yeah, that would do. Opening the door, he went back out, holding the knife threateningly. It was dark, so she may not see his face. Holding the steel where the moonlight would hit it, he walked closer to her.

Nevaeh then saw him. Who was it? She couldn't tell. It was too dark. But she did catch eye to the knife that he held. She swallowed and took a step back. "W-who are you?" she asked, in a whisper. She shook her head, terrified and back up into the house, closing the door. She tried to lock it and backed up, staring at the back down, frozen with fear.

Jack grinned and stepped closer. When she asked who he was, he recalled his first rule. Never give a victim your name. "I'm the bear, Goldilocks" he answered. He couldn't help the play on words. A grin came across his face when she closed the door. He heard the door click and smirked. "Locking the door. Is that supposed to keep me in?" He gripped the handle of his knife and dug it into the door just above the handle. He stood, relaxed, even whistling a tune as he broke off pieces of the wooden door.

Nevaeh swallowed, as tears began to fill her eyes. For a moment, she stood there, frozen in fear, watching as the guy start breaking off piece after piece of wood on the door. She shook her head. "No! Leave me alone!" she cried out. And she ran into the other room. But instead of running out the fron door, she ran upstairs.

Jack ignored the screams. Because, really, he was used to them. A punch at the door broke the rest of the wood in that area, and he was able to unlock the door and open it. Did she not know that her feet colliding with the floor as she ran would be heard from downstairs? Smirking, Jack softly went upstairs, making sure not to make any sounds. He slowly made his way down the upstairs hall, peering in room after room until he was down to one. She had to be in it. Gripping the knife, he put a hand on her doorknob

Nevaeh looked to the door, not knowing he was right outside already. She looked around. Trapped. She was trapped. But then her eyes scanned to her window. It was the only way that she would escape. So, quickly she ran over to the window, opening it, and climbing right outside it. She looked down below. It was pretty far down. Trying to move, pants leg had got caught, causing her to slip, only to fall to the ground down below, letting out a yelp. She cringed. Feeling the pain go through her body from the fall.

he was on his way to look at the crime scene. The police thought that the killer was doing some ritual. Whether that was the official theory or not, he didn't know. But he agreed to look and see if he recognized anything. But when he got there, he was in for a big surprise.
The movement in the house caught his attention. Max stretched his neck but couldnt make out who it was. The scream that came next had the pastor running to the yard.when he saw her fall, he rushed to her "lord give us speed" he prayed as he grabbd her arm to help her up.
Jack got into her room, but she wasnt in sight. It was pretty obvious where she went. He looked outside for a second before heading for the stairs

Nevaeh had just layed on the ground for a moment, not thinking that she needed to run. That fall really made her body ache. But a second later, someone had run over to her. An adult. She squinted her eyes at him, and slowly got to her feet when he had helped her up.
Then she quickly looked towards the house, her heart pounding. She shook her head. "No..." she whimpered. "He's in there." turned back to Max. "We-we have to go." she whispered.

Nevaeh swallowed and nodded, without saying a word. She looked back to the house real quick before ran to the front, where the car was, and got into the passengewr seat, waiting for him to come.

Max was right behind her. "seatbelt," he said as he jumped in the front seat and put the car in drive. "Open the dash, get the Bible!" he sounded freaked, because, well, he was "holy god, holy by thy name. Deliver us this day. Thou art holy in all things" he prayed as he went as fast as the speed limit would take them

Nevaeh quickly pulled out the bible from the dash and looked back at her house as Max sped off. She swallowed and looked to Max. But she just stayed quiet. And listen to max praying as he quickly got away from the house
