In the last several years, how many men and women had Kai been with? To be perfectly clear, he couldn't count them. He lost track back when he'd still been a teenager. He was sucked deep into the partying scene and it hadn't taken long for him to become both a partier and an addict. In order to take care of his habit, he'd started selling sex. It was a suggestion by the same guy who managed to hook him to begin with. It wasn't a big deal, after all. Kai liked sex and didn't hold a preference over either gender, so it made perfect sense. He'd have sex for money and once he was trusted enough, he started selling product too. He had to work for that though. Becoming a dealer took a lot longer than becoming a prostitute. And it wasn't like he only had sex for money. He had plenty of encounters that were strictly pleasure for him. Though, lately, it was only Carlos that mattered. He wasn't a client. Most would probably have guessed as much, given that he had money and Kai would have given anything for that kind of expendable wealth. But, he didn't give a fuck about that. He cared about him. He was falling for a goddamn politician and breaking his own rules.
"You shouldn't." He replied and laid back against the bed, eyes on the ceiling. "I could fucking live here." He murmured, because it was at least one hundred times better than his own bed. When he told him not to be impatient, however, he sat up. "Stop making it so hard for me not to tackle you." He replied, though scooted back to the edge of the bed before hopping back to his feet again to grab the glass from him. Kai took it, taking a drink. Okay, so he'd never really known the difference between expensive and cheap wine; hell, he wasn't sure he often drank wine, but it was good. "I have a feeling I'm drinking my rent right now." He teased, though it was really just that. He hoped that it wasn't as much as his rent--although, he guessed it could have been. It wasn't as if he lived in a poor building. His lifestyle might have sapped money and he probably paid his dealer more than he deserved, but drugs and sex paid. He could make a couple thousand in a night, easy.

He shook his head when he threatened to tackle him. "Behave, boy before I have to punish you." He said it with a wink and suggestive tone. This was the only person he had ever gotten like this with. Rosa and Susan would both be giving him weird looks if they heard the way he talked to this boy. But he couldn't help it. He was addicted to him. His touch, his voice, everything about him made Carlos want him more and more. It was something he couldn't even fathom explaining to anyone. And yet, Kai understood him perfectly. Maybe he was just in it for the wine and the hotel rooms, but Carlos didn't care. He was so used to buying everything and everyone else. Why not buy Kai?
Taking a sip of the wine, he chuckled at his comment. "Probably. But that's why this is on me," he commented, kissing him. "I got you a gift," he said as he broke the kiss and stood once more, going to where the bellhop had left his luggage. And this is when he broke his rules. Usually gifts to affairs were anonymous and sent to their homes. He wasn't accustomed to seeing their faces when they opened it up. He took a small box, about the size of a ring box and tossed it to him. "Open it." Now, he would never buy a ring. Oh, no, that was far too risky. Besides, despite all the low thoughts he could think of him, he always thought he deserved more. Really, it wasn't Kai's fault that he lived the way he did.He followed life's opportunities, just as Carlos had. It was just that life happened to take them on two very different routes. So, unlike all the other street rats he had come across in his life, he felt like Kai deserved expensive things. And a Lambourgini was a good way to start. He had bought it a while back, when last they parted. He just hadn't had a chance to give it to him yet. He leaned against the entertainment center and finished his wine as he waited for Kai to open the box and see the car key inside.
Once the glass was emptied, he set it down and slipped his tie off, tossing it to the side. He finally went and sat on the bed, not intending on getting back up. Already, he was dreading tomorrow morning. He didn't want to leave. And then a thought occurred to him. Why leave if he didn't want to? He looked at the younger man, reaching over and putting a hand through his hair. "What if we had more than just tonight?" He could stay another night. It would give him more time to be with him, and more than make up for the gap in between visits with Kai. All he had to do was make a phone call to the wife in the morning and that would be that. With a smirk, he looked at him again. "Unless you're in a hurry to get home?" To that dingy neighborhood? Carlos really didn't think he was. No, an extra night sounded like just what they needed. He was sure that Kai would agree.

“If you’ve got a lesson to teach, babe, I might be open to learning.” He didn’t know if he had ever wanted someone so bad. No, in fact, he was positive that there had never been another person in his life that affected him the way that Carlos did. And Kai had been with a lot of people; plenty of which that could have had the potential to hook him. But, they never did. It was as if he was addicted and despite being no stranger to addictive behavior, Kai didn’t understand it. All he knew was that there was no one else that he could compare Carlos to. Hell, there was no one that he wanted to compare him to. Or even look at in the same way—not genuinely so anyway. Had it been anyone else in his position, he might have warned them against it. Sex wasn’t supposed to come with attachments. And getting nice things from someone that you had sex with especially couldn’t come with that kind of thing. If he managed to attach to every person he’d slept with and that had also given him something in return then well, he probably would have attached to just about everyone. There was no way that Kai could ever afford any of this. He could give it his best try, sure. But, the amount of money spent on the hotel alone was probably more than he’d counted out on his own before. He didn’t think that he made horrible money—although he was the furthest thing from rich. But, at least he managed to keep himself well fed. And at least he was having a good time doing it. But, he couldn’t have these kinds of things on a regular basis. His apartment was a wreck and the neighborhood he lived in wasn’t much better. When he tossed him the box, however, Kai lifted his eyebrows in question. The first thought was that it was a ring and he looked perplexed before he started to open it. It was the key to a car that made his eyes light up more than a ring would have. “A car?” Kai was all but gaping at him. Before he could get up though, Carlos was beside him. “Shit. Are you serious?“ He asked, trying to stay more composed than he wanted to. He turned to him, leaning in for a kiss. He was still too excited over the thought of a car when he offered to stay another night. Did he really think that he’d want to go home right away? Every time they were together, he wanted more. Not only was his apartment worse than this, but Carlos was here, not there. “God no.” Kai said slipping his hand over his chest. “I’m not in a hurry to get anywhere.”
