[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- No one understood how difficult it was to grow up in her family. There was so much pressure. Especially when her father has been around Ben Del Rossi. God, she hated the damn rivalry. Maybe that was why she moved out as soon as she could. So that she could get out on her own, be her own person. Of course, being only sixteen years old when she began college, she could not exactly live out on her own. No, that did not happen until she was eighteen. And that was when she had decided to live on the college campus. It was nice. For a change. To be away from home, not have to deal with all of the pressure that came with being in her family. Jackie was happy to be away from all of that pressure for once in her life. And for the next two years, she lived on campus. And right before graduating from college with her BA, she received a record deal. Things seemed to be falling into place for her. And between the time she graduated and her twenty-first birthday, she lived back at home. But that was all in the past now.
Now she had a record deal. Her very first album came out a month ago. She had a huge house she lived in with a friend. Could her life get ANY better? She highly doubted it. Now, her sister was returning home and Jacqueline had promised to pick her up from the airport. She thought they could have a girls night. Maybe have her come back to her place, take a swim, watch a movie in her home theater. She was looking forward to her sister returning home though. Getting into her Firebird, Jackie made her way to the airport. Her sister’s plane would be landing in half an hour. She parked and made her way inside, to the gate. She took her seat and waited.

When Aleiah first went to Paris, she had every intention of making it her home. She was actually chosen to do some paintings for a galla. And it had been fun, for a little while. But then, it started to become more and more mundane. She had more fun drawing her comics at the penthouse suite she had lived in than anything else. Then there was the whole deal with Bryan. She couldn't believe she had been engaged to that stupid jerk. She felt like such an idiot for falling for him like that. And once she walked in on him between some girl's legs--she was done. She was done with the galla, she was done with Paris. She was done with him. She had taken her ring off and thrown it at him before turning in her resignation, claiming it to be a family emergency. Because to Aleiah, it was. She wanted to crawl into her mommy's arms and cry.
So, she had called her family up and told them she was coming home, not really giving them a reason why. Oh, she knew her parents would drill her the second she was in their house, and she knew she would buckle under the pressure and tell them. But she waited. How was she supposed to explain over the phone? She had mentioned being engaged only to her sister, Jackie. The plan was to take Bryan home and surprise her father. God, her dad would have loved Bryan. He was successful, he had money. He had everything she could want...except faith. The lying, cheating dog couldn't stay faithful. And she couldn't be with someone who treated women like that.
Jackie would be picking her up from the airport. Lee was sure she was going to want details. She figured she had a nice, long flight ahead of her to figure out a good lie. But, seventeen hours later, and she still hadn't. As the pilot announced that they were about to land, she sighed and leaned back. She would have to just tell the truth. It would come out eventually. anyways, if she didn't.
She was allowed to leave the plane first, having flown first class. She grabbed her single bag and headed for security. Once through it, she spotted her sister easily. Running up to her, she pulled Jackie into a hug. "Hey," she spoke, but sounded shaky. It had been two years since she left for Paris. A lifetime ago. And all she wanted to do was not focus on the tears that wanted to spill. "Rock star," she added with a giggle. But it was half-hearted. God, and she knew Jackie would probably be able to tell that something was wrong. Aleiah wasn't like this usually. She was spunky and sarcastic. Not shaky and about to cry. This just wasn't her. But this was how Bryan had left her.
