Rejection. It was an art that one had to skillfully craft. Some people could and some couldn't. Seth? It was something he excelled at. The girls at school always rejected him. The water polo guys found reasons to corner him and kick his ass. No matter what part of society it was, if rejection was the subject, he was the man for the job. And it didn't bother him. Sure, he was a seventeen year old virgin who had the total of one kiss and had no girlfriends before. But hey, that was him. That was the card that life had dealt him. And he was okay with that. He had no desire to be anything other than Seth Winchester. But then he'd listen to his dad bragging about his children's accomplishments. And sure, there were a lot of them; his parents gave birth in bulk. They were the Costco family. But as he listened to his father talk about his Sterling, Constance, Trey--it hit him. His father had never once mentioned him. And it kind of bugged him. He was a video game god, damn it! Maybe he should try to learn a sport. His school had an archery team, but it sounded a bit dangerous for him. Water polo was definitely out. Maybe he should try soccer. He remembered liking the game as a kid. He didn't get to play much, because nobody wanted him on their team. But he liked it.
He raised an eyebrow as he listened to Mr. Del Rossi answer his dad's challenge. Jason and Chance had been in Africa. That was cool. Megan had won the province championship for baseball and volleyball the last two years in a row. Hannah--ok, this was too much. It was one thing to have everyone in his family more skilled than he was, but to hear about other people's kids? Yeah, it was torture. Though, he was happy for Megan. Making excuse that he needed to go to the bathroom, Seth made his way upstairs. And if it weren't for his peripheral vision, he would have gone to the bathroom. But, he caught sight of brown hair in the corner of his eye and as he turned, he saw her. One Megan Del Rossi, with a side of fries. Well, ok so there weren't fries. But that would be awesome.
He smiled and sauntered to her doorway, noticing the lack of door. "Hey, it's my lip service buddy. Remember me?" he asked with a smile. Any of the other Del Rossi's, he wouldn't have liked running into. But she was difference. Because there was that one time. And one time for Seth Winchester was all that it took. He would remember this girl for the rest of his life. Not because of the Sniper. He remembered that, obviously. Who could forget? But he wouldn't bring it up.

Life was not easy. Megan was ashamed of who she had become. She was ashamed of what she allowed Jonathon to do to her. And she was ashamed that she allowed him to impregnate her. She still had his words stuck in her mind. She constantly had nightmares at night and woke up in terror. She was so scared that Jonathon would get out. She had nightmares about what would happen. But she never told anyone this. And she just did not want to talk about it. She hated not having a door, though. Didn’t her dad trust her? Why should he? She didn’t even trust herself anymore. But didn’t he even get it? If she wanted to get the job done, she could get that done somewhere else. The lack of door would not stop her from doing what she thought had to be done. But for now, Megan thought that she would just fake through the pain and the tears. Make him, make the all, believe that she was feeling better.
Ever since leaving Degrassi, Megan had been spending a lot of time at home. And if by some chance she was not at home, then you would most likely find her with JJ, with her boyfriend. Megan had been in her room when Greg had showed up. She just did not want to deal with any of the rivalry crap. And she really just did not want to hear her dad bragging about his own kids. She had begun feeling like the black ball of her family. She did not deserve to be bragged about. She was nothing but a screw up, the black sheep. She was standing in front of her full length mirror, measuring tape around her stomach. But then she heard a voice in her doorway and quickly took the taper measure and tossed it onto her bed before turning to come face to face with Seth. Did he notice what she was doing? She was just checking to see how much bigger she had gotten. She was so sure that people would just be able to tell and it made her feel self-conscious. She quickly pulled down her sleeves in order to hide her crossed and folded her arms over her chest. Of course, she remembered him. He was her first real kiss. Anything before that day people would tell her did not count. “Hi…” she had not seen Seth in years. She was not the same girl that she had been at 13. So much was different now. She was different. “I-I wasn’t expecting company. Uhm—“ she looked around. “You—want to come in?”

Seth smiled. "You--you want me to come in?" he looked around. Nobody ever invited him anywhere. "Well, cool. Cool, this is so much better than the usual response I get...you know, slamming the door in my face." he paused and looked at where the door should have been. "But I guess that's not an option. Hey, you know this is awesome. I think everyone should be doorless. Then maybe I'll have friends. Well, no. Probably not. I'm still Seth Winchester." with a sigh, he sat on the bed and picked up the measuring tape. "I thought I saw this in your hand. Let me see, if I was to make an educated guess, I would say you're measuring for your dress for cotillion, or for your superhero costume. I'm placing my money on the costume. Let me guess, you're torn between Wonder Woman and Superwoman. Well, allow me to put an end to the rivalry going on in your head. Wonder Woman. You would look incredible, especially if you took that lasoo of truth..." he gave a suggestive grin before pausing again, and shaking his head. "Never mind. Doorless. Well, this is cool. I haven't seen you in forever. My dad made us switch schools for a couple of years. It's a shame, cause of everything going on between us? I could be your baby daddy by now..." could he? Really?
"Probably not. But still. How's the life of Megan Del Rossi going? Did you get the flowers I sent you? Cause, I sent you flowers when you were in--" he stopped short. Hadn't he wanted to not bring up the Sniper? Whoops. He really didn't mean to. It just kind of came out. But with all the press--she had to know that he knew, right? Squeezing his eyes shut, he shook his head before opening them with a sigh. "I'm sorry. I'm not used to the whole social interaction where I'm not having my gym shoes peed in. This whole being-nice-to-Seth thing is different. Can I start over? Cause I feel like I've been in here for ten seconds and already messed up." He was trying to be considerate of her feelings, really. "If it makes any excuse, it's hard to think straight looking at you." She had definitely grown up. She was cute when she was thirteen--she was hot now.
