Mall day. Seth didn't understand the sacredness of the family activity, but it was one that required participation. When one Winchester went to the mall, all Winchesters went to the mall. It didn't matter if one had plans (which, he didn't). And it was always an all-day occasion. They could get there at nine am and be there up until it closed. Sure, Seth liked the comic book stores, the music stores, and the Disney store. But at this point in the day, he had already visited all of the stores of his choice. So now, it was just a matter of waiting until all the others were done. He had wandered off, since, at seventeen, he wasn't required to stay with his parents. In fact, the only thing required was that he keep his cell phone on, and if his father called, he answered it and reported to him stat. He had much more freedom than the kids, naturally. Even Maya had to stay with one of her parents. After all, there was a serial killer on the loose.
Today had been a bust. Tomorrow wouldn't be good for him, either. It was drug and preggo test day. All of them were required to wait their turn to get the chance of peeing in a cup. It was like one big urine party. Which was kind of gross when he thought about it. It definitely brought images to his head that he didn't want. But hey, he wasn't a girl. Sterling and Maya got to take pregnancy tests. Which meant double the urine, double the fun. He didn't know how his father would react if any of them ever came up positive. Seth had never seen it happen. He had seen a positive pregnancy, however. Well, he didn't see it. But Brittany had confided in him that she had been to the clinic. Their father had taken her aside and told her that she wasn't bringing another child in to ruin their lives, not at sixteen. The twelve year old hadn't really known what to say to that. She seemed to be bothered by it, though. Like she resented him for it. He was sure that was why she had not been back home since the day she graduated high school.
A surge of pain cut off his thoughts as he fell off his skateboard and landed on the floor. He quickly jumped back up, looking around to see if anyone had seen or noticed. They hadn't. Which was typical of his life. He remained unnoticed. It wasn't all bad, though. It just sucked when he wanted a little Friday night Jenga and the only one around to play was his three year old sister. But it was whatever. And hey, Charlie was cool for a toddler. It just sucked when he wanted someone his age to hang out with. But he also knew that they would be having dinner with the Del Rossi's. That was always fun. He couldn't wait to see Megan again. Seth wondered if she would remember him. After all, there was a little thing that he liked to call, the time he kissed her by the pool at his grandfather's birthday party. It had been epic. Well, not the kiss because it had just been a quick peck on the lips. But it was his first kiss. And the best part? She didn't push him in the pool or anything like that. Man, he had been one brave fourteen year old. He could never be that brave again.
Seth kept his eyes on the board as he attempted to jump and flip the board, landing back on it. He had seen other kids do it and it looked cool. But, he couldn't master it. As he tried it one last time, he didn't notice anyone nearby, so it was no surprise when he jumped and slammed right into someone. whoops, He was mortified and as he rushed to pick up the things that had been dropped, he didn't even look to see who it was. "I am so sorry, really." Of course he was sorry. He was in the food court doing skateboard tricks. If his mother knew, he would be even more sorry.

Jezebel is what you may call a perfectionist. When it comes to school, work, her belongings. Everything. And to be perfectly honest, Jez liked it that way. She was always a bit of a neat freak. But she was also kind and caring and extremely intelligent. She was in the top 10% in her class back at Richmond Private School. She was the only one out of her siblings to go to that school. Jez graduated from Richmond a semester early than the rest of her class. By summer, she was in college taking 16 credits. She was now in her third year, with 80 credits. The 21 year olds major was Pre-Law. She was minoring in Drama. Now she was doing an externship for Ben Del Rossi. She knew the man. How could she not. And it was great working for the man that she idolized in Law.
It was Saturday. She took a shower after waking up. She tidied up her dorm room, watching about an hour of television. And then it was straight to work. She wanted to get all of her homework done before her classes Monday. It was close to 7 when she finished everything. Sighing, Jez looked over at her alarm clock. She almost thought about just going to bed early. She was used to going to bed early and getting up early. She had always been a morning person, after all. Instead, the girl stood up from her desk and got dressed before grabbing her purse and keys and heading out the door. She loved having a single dorm room. She loved not having to deal with roommates.
Pulling into the mall parking lot, Jez got out of her car and headed inside. Though, her first stop was the food court. She had been so busy today that she had not had the chance to eat. But as soon as she headed into the food court, she had been slammed into, falling instantly to the ground, landing on her back. Jez winced in pain, and sitting up slowly. Though, she had to admit, she was pretty sore. “No, no. It’s okay. I’m—“ She winced as she managed to get back to her feet. “I’m fine. Don’t worry about it.”

He looked up when he heard her voice. Jezebel. With a sigh, he grabbed a chair. "Wanna sit down? Let me buy you lunch. Anything you want, my treat. Just, please don't tell my dad." If she even knew who he was. Most of his siblings' friends didn't. Whenever they were at the house, he was always in the family room playing video games. People would walk right past him and not even notice him. Which, when he thought about it, made him feel like a superhero or a ninja. Yeah. He could totally star in his own comic book series. The Adventures of Invisi-Seth. Now, that was a cool name. It just didn't help now, when he was face-to-face with his older sister's friend. His imaginary super powers were pretty futile at this point.
Aleiah was one of eight. She had been out of the house since...well, since the legendary kiss by the pool. She came and visited every so often. But she was enjoying the lifestyle in Paris at the moment. She was the artist in the family, going to some fancy art school so she could turn into Leonarda Da Vinci. She was cool, but like the rest of the family didn't have much use for him. She had her own friends. Well, Seth did, too, but his consisted of Charlotte, Captain Oats, and Mr. Leidermeyer....and the last two were toys from his childhood. Man, he really needed friends.
