Her dad was gone. Her mom was gone. Her sister and brother were gone. Lily's family had slowly yet surely fallen apart. And while she knew her best friend would be more than happy to lend a shoulder to cry on, she refused to. The redhead had more of her father in her than most people would like. She refused to cry. Refused to vent. Refused to lash out in any shape or form. So instead, when her friend asked her what was wrong, she told her to get dressed. They were going to sneak into a club. Because she knew a guy who could let them in the back door. She didn't want to think about anything. Especially not consequences for their actions, because after all, her parents were MIA. There were no consequences.
So, she walked in with Faith, wearing the shortest skirt she had ever dared to wear with the lowest cut blouse she had ever worn, and the highest heels. Sure, she felt ridiculous. But already, it was like she was in a different world. "My name's not Lily," she instructed her friend. She didn't want to be herself. Not tonight. She wanted a getaway. And she honestly didn't care what happened, as long as her friend didn't leave her side.
