Overall Personality: Cameron likes to go by statistics and logic. If it doesn’t have to do with one of the two things, he often gets confused easily. While he is a brilliant man, his brilliance is limited to what he has studied. And because he spent his entire teenage life studying and going to college, he isn’t too aware of the world around him. He is completely ignorant of it if/when he is flirted with. The same part of his brain that keeps him innocent when it comes to the opposite sex also keeps him naïve when it comes to threats, and often, his brain will not register the need to be fearful in situations. Instead, he starts analyzing. He is always at work, even when he’s off, because he doesn’t turn it off.
When it comes to socializing, that is definitely where Cameron lacks. He is shy around people he does not work with. He wouldn’t know how to begin even looking for them. It is not that he is not capable of having sexual feelings for anyone. It is simply that Cameron doesn’t know what to do with them, or even how to go looking for someone to start having them. He is always so sure that “normal” people wouldn’t want anything to do with him, that he often doesn’t even try.

Father: James Bridges
Siblings: Darrell Bridges, Shealeigh Bridges
Others: n/a
Pets: Mouse named Ziggy
Hometown: Oakville, ON
Background: Cameron was born the middle child of three. His mother, having Paranoid Schizophrenia, had gone off her medication when she was pregnant with him. His father managed to get her back on her medication once she stopped breast-feeding, but every time they had a fight, he would ask her if she had stopped taking her medication again. Cameron doesn’t have very many memories from that time, but he does remember there being a lot of fights. His brother, who was two years older than him, would hide with him in a closet when they fought and played an audio recording of their mother singing when they fought. Once he learned how, Darrell would read to him.
Cameron was six years old when his sister was born. Once more, just as she had done with Cameron, his mother went off her medication. This angered their father, who said he was leaving. He said if she was going to refuse to help herself, then he couldn’t help her, either. Cameron, who had been reading his mother’s psychology books, tried to stop his father from leaving, sharing a statistic he had read that children of parents who stay together receive more education. This angered his father even more, who snapped that “we’re not statistics” and left, taking Darrell with him.
Meanwhile, Cameron’s mother’s state worsened every day. It reached a point where, when Shealeigh was just a year old, she was left home alone. Their mother wandered into the streets and when she was seen by police, didn’t seem to know who she was, and she responded to the policemen’s help by violently attacking him. When they found out where she lived and went to her home, only to find the infant, Child Services were called. Both Cameron and Shealeigh were taken from the home. But, they were never taken to their father.
Cameron was separated from his sister for the time being. He was assessed, diagnosed with Aspeger’s Syndrome, and placed in a foster home where the parents were an older couple. Not trusting the public school system, Cameron was home-schooled. This actually gave the boy an advantage, because he was able to work at his own pace instead of the teacher’s. He was able to get ahead, and graduated at the age of fourteen. He was then allowed to go to Toronto U, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science at the age of eighteen. His foster family offered to help him move once he got a job, but he said he would rather wait until he had his Master’s, which he obtained at twenty-one.
With his Masters in Forensic Science, Cameron quickly found his place with the police department, helping the homicide detectives. Once he had a steady job, Cameron sought out his sister, hoping that she hadn’t been adopted as of yet. He was relieved when he learned that she hadn’t, and went through the proper procedure to be able to take her.
The two now live in an apartment together. Unlike him, Shealeigh attends public school, and is a student in Degrassi. Cameron absolutely loves being with his sister. Recently, Cameron was sent undercover in Degrassi to pose as a twelfth grade student. The detectives are hoping that they can uncover who the Sniper is if they send a man on the inside. This requires Shealeigh to pretend that she doesn’t know him. And while he absolutely hates working in the field, he is learning quite a bit. For example, he now knows what detention is.
