His favorite outfit is a bright orange and yellow striped shirt with bright green pants. He also loves his ties that have characters on them—whether it be historical faces, Disney characters, anything that has it completely littered will do just fine..

Overall Personality:Antonio has always been the happy-go-lucky goofball child. Even as an adult, it is hard for him to be serious. He’s the type of guy who can always find a bright side of things. He can make people laugh at a wake. He is just a fun guy to be around, especially when you’re looking to be cheered up. He definitely likes adventures. He can always be found tagging along with someone, just for the fun of it.
Antonio is the last person you want to tell a secret to, because he will be the first one to tell. He will promise to keep it, and he’ll try, really. But the second something even close to it gets brought up, he will burst and tell. So it’s important to just keep anything secret from him. He has the best intentions and a good heart, but he cannot help but let the cat out of the bag.

Background: Antonio was born the second to youngest of four children, and the youngest of the boys. As such, he was always faced with living in the shadows of his two older brothers. Lorenzo was the athlete and Dominic was the actor and the ladies’ man. And to Antonio, it seemed like they were the ones with the looks, the brawns, and the brains. While he was smart, he just didn’t live up to the expectations that had been set by his brothers. He never got any scholarships, or any honors of awards of any kind. All he really did was graduate high school. And even that wasn’t anything special. He was right smack in the middle of the class, unlike his brothers before him and his sister after him.
After high school, things really didn’t get any better for him. He remained unpopular and unspecial. He chose not to go to college; instead, he wanted to simply pick up a trade. He had no idea what he wanted to do with the rest of his life, but he knew one thing—he wanted to save up enough money to get out of Venice and into a place where nobody knew Lorenzo and Dominic Del Rossi. He picked up odd jobs, not really sure what his forte even was. It wasn’t until he joined a birthday party company at the age of twenty-six that he discovered his hidden talent.
He had been sent as a clown to a little girl’s birthday party, who had just turned six. The child’s father had come to the party as promised, but was ignoring her, spending the entire occasion on the phone making business calls, and when it came time for gifts, and her request to open daddy’s present first was made, she found out that daddy hadn’t felt it necessary to spoil his daughter any more than she already had been and had refused her a gift of any kind. The heartbroken child had run out of the home, sitting on the edge of the water, playing with a piece of planked wood. Antonio followed her and talked to her. She held it up and asked him if he could make a friend for her like in the stories about Pinnochio. Unsure, he took the wood from her and pulled out a pocket knife and began whittling it. She sat there, mesmerized at him as the two sat on that water for over three hours. In the end, though, she had the most beautiful puppet she had ever seen, and had named it after him. She hugged him, thanking him for her new toy. It was then that Antonio knew what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.
He knew it wasn’t anything that his family would understand. The business they ran had been in the family for generations. Lorenzo was striking on his own, true, but he intended to get a business degree and then become part of a huge chain of hotels. Antonio didn’t have that safety net at all. He didn’t have any fallbacks. All he had was a piece of wood and a dream. He was going to start his own line of puppets. If he could make other children and even adults as happy as he had made that little girl, then he would be content for the rest of his life. He even decided that it should be named after her. Thus, Marionetta di Maria was created. He managed to sell enough on the streets to rent out a rackety old building on the corner within the first month.
Being a puppet maker really didn’t make things any better in Venice. The guys he went to school with would stop by the store and act like they were interested, but only mock him and leave. Even the girl of his dreams, after she married his brother and became part of the family, would constantly tease him about the puppets. The only one who really kept him going was Maria, who would stop by every day after school, holding her marionette and chatting with him. Despite the twenty year age gap, the two became close friends. That is, until her parents found out.
Rumors flew that he was doing things to Maria. She tried to defend him, but she was only a child. Finally, one day, her dad came to the store with policemen waiting outside. He stepped inside and told him he had twenty-four hours. Leave Venice and never come back, or he would be arrested for child molestation. Antonio tried to reason with him that he had never touched his daughter. The man didn’t want to hear it, though. After all, since he used her name for his business, he couldn’t have been too innocent. He left, warning that he would be back the following day.
Antonio closed up shop early that day. He lied to his family and said that he got an offer to continue his business in France and got on the first flight out of Venice, never looking back. He went on to Paris, France, changing the name of his business to Marionetta di Venisia and used the little bit of savings that he had to rent a small building next to the mall. He spent the next five years in Paris, living in the back of the store and selling the marionettes as he made them. When he was thirty-two, he received a surprise visit. Rosa, followed by twelve year olds Erick and Nikki, ten year old Haley and Carlos, carrying the baby. Rosa wanted his help with her husband’s campaign for senator. She thought that if they produced some gifts from the Italian half of the family, it would help. At first, Antonio wasn’t so sure about it, but Carlos got out his checkbook and made an offer the man couldn’t refuse. So, after taking a week to get his affairs in order, Antonio closed up shop once more and moved to New York City with his sister.
All at once, Antonio got swept up into the world of politics. His sister had learned her part well as trophy wife, smiling and waving, standing in the background with the kids and just looking absolutely beautiful and perfect. Antonio stood with her, smiling beside her as her husband presented his creations to the right people. And at the end of the campaign, Carlos won and it was made very clear to Antonio that his services were no longer needed.
Not wanting to make another move so quickly, Antonio once more set up shop and began selling his marionettes, advertising them as “As seen with Senator Pradaâ€. He figured that if Carlos could use his puppets to get him a senate seat, then he could use his endorsement to advertise. And it worked, for a while. He spent the next few years in New York, and he was finally starting to gain quite a bit of profit.
It was when Rosa’s home life took a turn for the worse that Antonio’s life changed again. One day, Carlos stormed in his store, demanding to know where his wife and children were at. Antonio had no idea what he was even talking about, and when he learned that his sister had left her husband, he wanted to know why, just as Carlos did. When he asked the man what he did to her, though, it turned out to be a major mistake. The man destroyed his shop, beat him up and left him for dead, and told him to never show his face in New York again.
Antonio decided to lay low for a while. He took the money given to him by Carlos and just went on a road trip, going MIA for a few months. He went everywhere from Florida all the way to California, and every state in between. When he finally started running out of the funds he had been given to move to New York, Antonio decided he didn’t want to cut into the profits from the toys themselves and decided it was time to go back to life. This time, he went where he knew a lot of his family was—Toronto. So, he showed up, unannounced and nobody had ever known that he had even left New York. He opened up Marionetta di Venisia again and went back to what he does best—making puppets. That’s all his life was really about, until recently.
Recently, he met a beautiful woman named Isabella. Wanting so badly to impress her, he lied and claimed to be an actor from Rome. He didn’t think she would go out with him if she knew the truth—and he desperately wanted her to. He felt that he was long overdue for his first date. The lie seemed to work, though. He will be picking her up to take her out to dinner. Antonio feels like his life is finally getting started. The fresh start that he had wanted back in Venice—he is finally achieving it. Even if his brothers are here now.
