The five-year-old brunette slipped out the front door, when nobody was looking. She was on a mission. Aaron had brought her mommy home, and it had given Rory some hope, but she still wanted her daddy back. She just wanted him to love her again. To love all of them again. And now that she knew where he was, she knew which way to go. That was one thing about the way she had been living for the past couple of months. She managed to learn her way on the bus to a few specific spots. One being Aaron's other house.

Daddy was with Jay, she had overheard them say. As soon as it was said, she had run upstairs, and stuck a couple of shirts and a five dollar bill in her Barbie backpack. she wasn't coming back without him, she had decided. As little as she was, slipping out of the house was easy to do. She had gone and gotten back on the bus, watching for the stop. It was very important that she go to that exact spot this time.

Her little eyes watched the door that stood in the middle of the bus. As soon as she recognized the house across the street from the Hogart's, she climbed up onto an empty seat and pulled on the string. It didn't take long for the bus to come to a halt and let the little girl off.

She ran across the street, remembering to look both ways as she did so. As she approached the driveway, she saw it--her daddy's car! All at once, Aurora felt the most excited than she had in months. Dropping her backpack, she ran to the door and rang the doorbell repeatedly. "Daddy!" she called out, knocking on the door several times for good measure. "Daddy, it's me!" she added, in case he didn't recognize her.
