Christy had left the school building and unlocked her bike, getting on. She never cared about getting a ride or taking the bus. Because the girl enjoyed taking her bike to school. Christy considered it her exorcise for the day. And she did not care for trying to save up her money to buy herself a car. All Christy cared about was putting her savings towards college. A car, she can always get later on. School was just more important to the girl.
Just as she was riding her bike passed The Dot, she noticed the Help Wanted sign in the window and come to a cmoplete stop. Help wanted? A job is exactly what she needed. After all, she had to put some money aside for college. She locked up her bike and walked inside.
After a few minutes of talking to the manager or owner, he gave her a uniform and told her that she could start Monday. Christy thanked the guy and decided to grab something to eat while she was here. She ordered a soda, hamburger and fries and took a seat at an empty table.

Jack had been keeping it pretty quiet for a couple of weeks now. Ever since the dance, it had been harder and harder to continue to associate with these kids. It was something he had never had to do before, because he had never gotten away with it before. As of late, he had been watching the old soaps again. He thought that if he just continued to watch them, he would have a chance at actually being okay. He didn't need to ruin everything when he had already committed the perfect crime. Well, almost perfect. It would have been perfect if he had been able to kill everyone. It would have been perfect if Zachary wasn't taunting him.
He had spent all night watching the show, since he hadn't wanted Brooke to see him. Of course, he was groggy all day. After taking Brooke to school, he decided that he wasn't going to school, and instead went home and slept. When he woke up, it was time for Degrassi to let out. After stretching and feeding his dog, he decided to go out. Put some of what he learned to the test.
He went to the Dot, and the first thing he saw was a help wanted sign. He decided it would be best, because it would provide the alibi he needed at times, and besides, he was running out of his parents' money. He stepped inside, had a nice little chat with the boss, and was given a uniform. He would start training to cook Friday after school. He smiled and asked for a small pizza, when he noticed the girl. He didn't think he knew her. Looking around, he decided to approach her while he was waiting.
"Waiting for someone?" he asked, giving her a charming smile. "I'm Jack, luv. I don't believe we've met," Jack wasn't stupid, he knew that the accent helped his charm. And hey, he was glad. He could honestly use all the help he could get. He ran a hand through his hair as he waited for her response, his blue eyes locking with hers.

Christy loved school, loved being out in the community. She loved people and was always one to treat others the way that she would like to be treated, with respect. And it would be good to start working, making her own money. She hated having to bug her mom with getting things, whether it be personal items or for school. Maybe she could even start helping out her mom with bills and putting some money aside for college. This was going to be an after school job. Christy thought that she might also look for a second job as well. She just wanted to help out, to do her part in taking care of her mother. Christy loved her mother very much.
Looking up, the eighteen year old gave her sweet and innocent smile to the boy that just spoke to her. She shook her head. “No, I’m not waiting for anyone.” She gestured to the seat across from her. “You can sit down if you would like to. I don’t mind. I’m very much a people person.” She took a sip of her soda, before saying anything else. “I don’t believe that we have met. I attend Lakehurst and I think I would remember seeing you around. My name’s Christy, by the way. I haven’t lived here very long.”
