Natasha pointed to an article on the cafeteria lunch food, with a confused frown. "This isn't the article, is it? I'm not sure what we're talking about." Yes, the girl was slightly dense. But she couldn't help it. Normally, she was good at keeping up with her classes. This time around, though, she was just completely and utterly confused. And obviously, Mr. Maxwell wasn't too interested in helping. She decided he probably had a lot on his plate already.
Mallory looked at Danny and bit her lip, looking at Aidan before looking at the teacher once more. "I'm sorry, Mr. Maxwell. But the coach was--is my uncle." she said softly before looking back down. "I'll be quiet." That would probably be best, anyway. She didn't want any focus to be on her, whether it be from Stacey or Mr. Maxwell. Mallory was good at being invisible. So why she had spoken up to begin with, she really wasn't sure.
Stacey, though, looked at Mallory. "Exactly. He's your uncle. So how can you not be pissed that he's gone?" she demanded, ignoring Jamie for the moment. If it was her dad, she'd be fighting the girl. Of course, her dad wasn't a teacher. But if he was, and he left, and that was why he left, then of course she'd be pissed. And Mallory should, too.
Mallory paused and looked at Mr. Maxwell again. "Can I answer that?" she asked him. After all, she wasn't looking for a detention.
Mary stared at the board, reading each name in the list before she slowly rose her hand. She was going to make an educated guess. Though, this time, she was going to wait to be called on, before she ended up with detention as well. He didn't seem too pleased the last time she spoke up. So, she was going to do it right this time. She watched the exchange between Stacey and Mallory, and waited to hear his answer. If Mallory was given permission to speak, she'd wait to try and answer his question about the names. After all, it was just polite.
Tara sighed and bit her lip. I know. And I have nooo clue what to do. We've been best friends all our lives, Audrey. Like, since we were babies.
She was late. Ronnie hated being late. Though, she had been held in the office by a cop, so she wasn't exactly at fault here. She wasn't sure why she was being questioned--she hadn't even been there when the dance occurred. But, she had. Finally, she was told that she was free to go, and she rushed to the classroom, followed by Grace, who was ready to perform some locker checks. Ronnie opened the door and rushed inside, going straight to the desk in the back beside Alanna, hoping Mr. Maxwell wouldn't be too angry. She gave a half-smile as she set her bag down, eyes now on her supervisor.
Grace put a foot in the door to stop it from closing. Knocking on it to get Danny's attention, she poked her head in the door. "Mr. Maxwell, I need to borrow Aidan Del Rossi for a few minutes. " she said, eyes on the young man. Honestly, she didn't think Aidan would ever have done anything like this. But, his name was on her list, so she had to check his locker. Legally, he couldn't be ruled out until she did it.
Mallory looked at Aidan, wondering what on earth he could have done. She knew her boyfriend was careless sometimes, and he did get in trouble; after all, didn't all teenagers get in trouble? But to need a cop? Leaning over, she kissed his cheek, in case he was nervous about going with Grace. "Love you," she whispered in his ear. Poor guy. She wished she could go with him!
