At the end of the day, Maggie would not be coming home. It wasn't even the home they had together anymore. And if Danny thought any differently, than he was very naive and gullible. But that wasn't going to be the discussion point right now. Maggie wasn't stupid. She knew that she was going to have to be deceptive. She had been lying and manipulating Danny for so long now. Today was no different.
She allowed him to take the lead as he grabbed her shirt. Raising her arms, she started working at his shirt as well. She followed him willingly to the bed, a smile on her face. Now, that was one way to channel his anger! Maggie allowed herself to think that what she had done wasn't so bad after all. If they could still be doing this, then it couldn't be.

Danny didn't know how he wanted this to end. He tried not to think about it or all of the reasons he wanted this right now. Part of it was out of anger and desire, but then there were feelings that hadn't just disappeared because she left him. They'd been stomped on and he tried to stay stubborn and remind himself that they needed to fade, because what she did wasn't something he should forgive or even consider taking her back after. He shouldn't be giving into all of those other feelings, because this wasn't solely about anger. He might not have been doing it consciously, but he was believing in her when he should have been shoving her out on her face.
He tossed her shirt aside, before helping out of his own, letting it join hers on the ground. Once they reached the bed, he pressured her down onto it. "Down." He never pulled away though, moving over her, his lips heatedly seeking out her neck, running down to her shoulder while his hand wandered, already on its way to her pants, ready to get her out of her clothes as quickly as possible.

Her hand rested on his chest and when his lips connected with her neck, she moaned again "Oh, Danny." This felt so good. If there would have been one thing that could have kept her home, it would have been the sex. But Zack was so damned persistent. Her boss definitely knew how to not take no for an answer. At first, Maggie thought she could have both. Have her kids for warmth and Danny to take care of her, and Zack for....whatever. But the longer the affair continued, it became clearer and clearer that she would have to choose between them.
Now, back on Danny's bed and watching him take charge, she didn't want to choose. She was right back where she had started, wanting the best of both worlds. She would much rather have an "and" instead of an "or". Reaching up, her mouth heatedly kissed his chest. Her body instinctively pressed closer against him when he went for her pants. "God, I want you," she whispered, and it was true. That was one thing that would not be changing for quite a while, if at all.

As much as he loved the sex, he would have hoped that that wasn't the only thing that had tied his wife to him or that would have kept her. And he did love the sex and he missed it, but that wasn't enough for him to want her back. He wasn't going to be the other man and he wasn't going to have a relationship with a woman that had some jackass on the side. It was always going to be a matter of a choice and Danny shouldn't have even opened the door for there to be one ever again. She wasn't supposed to be in his bed. He was supposed to be keeping distance in this way. So, why wasn't he? He wished he knew. He wished he could curb what he wanted right now, but he couldn't. He wasn't even thinking about what he should or shouldn't be doing. He was just... Doing.
He moaned at the lips against his chest. "God, Maggie," he missed this. It shouldn't feel so good, because it was the last thing he should be doing. He unfastened her pants, sitting up a little just so he could pull them off of her. Once off, he leaned in again, kissing her passionately. He wanted her too, and it showed in the kissing and the way his hands wandered almost desperately and controlling over her skin.

As he pulled her pants off, she allowed her foot to massage his length underneath his pants. She gave him a flirty grin, as she slipped out of her bra while his hands were on her pants. This wasn't what she had come here to do. But Maggie didn't care. As long as there was no knock on the door, they would be fine. It was pretty obvious that Danny was caught up in it, and she seriously doubted he would stop mid-act to have second thoughts. Oh, no, he was all hers.
"Show me what you got, big guy" she said sensually. She had told him to prove himself earlier, and now she wanted to see if he would. Even after being married for as long as they were, Maggie did know that he was capable of surprising her. And while it wasn't her initial plan to come here and screw her husband, she would be lying if she said she wasn't excited. With all the tension that had built up between them, especially after that coffee incident, it could very well make for a great sexual experience.

Danny moaned, knowing full well how past the point of no return he was. There wasn't any stopping this. He had taken it too far and there was no way he was going to just stop and send her on her way. It would be completely cruel to just suddenly stop and throw her clothes back at her. But Danny wasn't that cruel. And at this juncture, he wanted her too badly to stop. His lips moved from her mouth over her jawline, passionately kissing towards her neck. His hand moved over bare skin, kneading over her chest slowly, mixing sensual with rough while his hands wandered.
This hadn't been his plan tonight. He didn't think he'd come home to Maggie being there at all and while they fought, the last thing he was thinking about was sleeping with her. Until now. Now it was on the forefront of his mind. His lips continued to wander down before he pulled back suddenly, only to start unfastening his own pants to get out of them quicker. And they were removed fast enough and he lowered himself back down. "Think you can even take me anymore?" As if somehow since they'd been together she'd grown soft. There was a hint of a smirk when he said it and he resumed what he was doing.

Maggie hadn't felt this excited in so long. She felt like she was 22 again. And God, she loved that feeling. Obviously, the split was doing some good. She decided that this needed to happen more often. This would not be the first time she would be here. Forget working on the kids, there was no way she could do that successfully. This was working on them. Before today, she hadn't even though there would be a them anymore. But maybe, if they continued sleeping together while she was with Zack, they would be an item once more. Maybe...
When he asked if she could handle him, she smiled eagerly and ran her hands through his hair. "Oh, baby, I could handle anything" she answered, kissing his neck. "Do whatever you want to me" she whispered. Oh, he could be as rough as he wanted. She didn't mind. She was enjoying this.

This was wrong. It wasn't going to change anything, logically Danny knew that. He was well aware that they would never change what happened or that he wasn't with Maggie anymore. Yet, he wanted her right now. He missed and resented her at the same time. She betrayed him for too long for him to just be okay with what happened and he knew that she wasn't just going to come back and restore the relationship they had years ago because of this. Logic and reason told him it was a bad idea and yet he didn't listen to it. Instead, it was all about attraction, anger and about feelings that hadn't just disappeared because she hurt him. That was what he was supposed to move on from. This wouldn't help him move on from her; it wouldn't help him get over what happened. It was only pulling him back in. And he was being precisely who he didn't want to be. He didn't want to be used or the second man.
He was channeling too much emotion into it. It would give her the advantage, really. He moaned at the kisses to his neck, hands wandering still. "We'll see," he replied heatedly, forcing a hard kiss to her lips, hand moving down to remove the rest of her clothing, making quick work of her underwear too. He wanted more and he didn't want to be gentle. He was putting everything into this and even though he knew it to be wrong, he wasn't going to stop and he was long past being able to do that. He wanted her. And he was going to take her.

Her eyes closed as she kissed him back, drinking in the emotions that he was putting into it. She allowed herself to get lost in the moment. It made her feel loved again. Once more, she had the urge to stay with him forever. But she knew the feeling wouldn't last. Danny was like a drug. After the high was over, she'd want Zack again. Just like when she was with Zack, he made her feel like all she wanted was him. But after it was all over, she would want Danny. She was a complicated woman, but she didn't think it was that out of the ordinary. She wanted who she wanted, and it just so happened that she wanted two men.
She felt his hand rid her of what was left of her clothing, and she looked up at him with a smirk "what are you waiting for?" she whispered, as if he were taking things slow. Looking at him now, she felt like he would never really be done with her. No matter what happened, he loved her and he would be there with her. And she didn't think she'd ever truly be done with him.

Danny should have known better to feel anything here. He wasn't even sure if he should have believed it to be real. They weren't together and this wasn't going to all of a sudden make everything different. It wasn't going to fix them. If anything, it was going to make it worse. Because, he still wanted her and he was opening up the door to be everything he told himself he wouldn't be. He was stronger when he didn't go after her and when he moved out of their house and tried to push forward with his life away from her. It was better if he just pressured her to get close to the kids again, while keeping a distance between them. This was just confusing. She hurt him and yet all he wanted right now was to share in this moment yet again, to get lost in the emotion and passion and that was precisely what he was doing.
"Learn a little patience," he said smirking right back at her. He wasn't going to take it slow. No way. But he wasn't going to let it go too fast either. He pressed back down against her, leading into yet another passionate kiss. Everything about his touches had an edge of force to them. They were rough while remaining in the realms of passion and something that probably would have resembled love before. And that's what he wanted. He wanted it rough, to channel everything he felt into it and that was precisely what he was doing. And he didn't take long to get straight into it. And he wasn't going easy on her, no way in hell. He didn't either. He took control and he kept it.
When it was finished however, he wasn't even sure how much time had passed. It seemed like he had forgotten everything, from the argument to the conflicting feelings beforehand. It was more of a post-sex haze right now and he looked over at her, that familiarity almost comfortable. "God, Maggie." It was great, yet, slowly the question of what was going to happen next was slowly starting to creep in to threaten the glow.

Her arms were wrapped around him, her head on his chest. She smiled when he looked at her. "I know." And she felt it, too. It was like a perfect happiness had been found in that room. Happiness that she knew wouldn't exist outside the bedroom. She closed her eyes, kissing his chest. Nothing could take away from the moment.
But then she heard a familiar tune playing muffled underneath her clothes. Maggie sat up, already dressing as she fished through their pile of clothing to find her cell phone. "Maggie" she spoke, listening as she pulled her pants on. She looked at her husband, mouthing the word work to him. "Yeah, no I'm here, go ahead." She listened to her co-worker as she slipped on her bra and grabbed her blouse.
"Ok, I'm going to need the address texted to me. I need to stop by my house and grab my camera, and I'll be on my way. Thanks, Joan." she hung up, running her hands through her hair as she grabbed her heels. Looking to Danny, she smiled. "There's a body. And the Sniper story is my baby. I'll call you though." Leaning in, gave him a kiss. "Bye" and with that, she grabbed her purse, slipped on her shoes, and walked out of the bedroom, heading for the front door.

The sound of Maggie's phone seemed to break through the barrier and he couldn't help but give a small eye roll of annoyance when she got up to find it. Honestly, it wasn't the first time he had ever given that look when her phone rang. It brought everything back into perspective again and he watched as she already started getting dressed. He just watched her for a moment, and when she told him she was going and leaned in to kiss him, he barely kissed her back. Honestly, he was suddenly feeling more used than he wanted to admit to. When she left the bedroom, Danny got out of bed and quickly redressed. He ran a hand through his hair a couple of times as he came out of the bedroom and followed her to the door.
"That's it? You don't think we need to talk about what just happened here?" Danny did. All of a sudden, he was feeling regret slowly climbing overhead. It didn't take long for that to happen really. Beforehand, he knew it was wrong and now he was well aware of the situation he might have put himself in. Honestly, he didn't care what story she thought was more important. It would still be there later. He wasn't going to be the go-to-guy for sex for his ex. Honestly, he felt that same creeping sense of abandonment he had when he was left the first time. He should have known better, but it still stung like hell.

Maggie looked up when he approached her. "Hey, don't blame me. I didn't tell the Sniper to leave another victim. But when work calls, you gotta go" she said with a shrug, pulling out her brush and fixing her hair. She might have just had sex, but she didn't want it to look like it. Especially when she had to face Zack in less than an hour. Honestly, she thought he should understand. She didn't exactly have a 9-5 office job. Her work hours were unpredictable. It has been since before she left. Of course, before she left, she was making excuses to work, so she could be with Zack. It never upset Danny before. She didn't think he should be upset now.
As she fished out her car keys, she looked at him and paused. He looked kind of like a lost puppy. "Aw. Hey," she walked over to him, took his hand and kissed it. "Don't worry. Actions speak louder than words. So what happened back there says it all." She put a hand on his cheek before turning, spraying some perfume on her wrist, and waved. "I gotta go. Love you!"

"Or when the guy you're fucking calls," he murmured under his breath. In hindsight, all of the times she got called into work seemed incredibly suspicious and he'd already gotten the big reveal on how blind he had been. Of course, now, it was more like he was the other guy, wasn't it? He didn't like that thought. Not in the least, because he wasn't just some other guy. He wasn't her boss or her fuck buddy. He was her husband. As the man that had spent all of those years with her, he wasn't going to be equated to that. He refused to feel that low or that used. But, right now, he definitely was feeling those things. She was just leaving him like it was nothing.
When she stepped back over to him, his expression was a mixture of hurt and annoyed. He let her kiss his hand, but didn't say anything, not until she turned from him. "You don't say." Yeah, actions did speak louder than words and he wasn't analyzing what happened in the bedroom but instead what her actions were right here and right now. "Whatever. I have a sick kid I have to deal with anyway." There was some emphasis on the 'I', if only because it was technically her kid too. And now, he was upset at her all over again. "Have fun with your sniper."

Maggie had chosen to ignore the comments, simply because when the woman wanted a story, she wasn't going to waste time with anything else. And right now, discussing her relationship with her husband just wasn't as important as the story that was waiting for her in the music gardens. She didn't even look back as she made her way to the car and started it up.
Tara had been sitting at her desk, texting people, playing games online, and waiting for her mother to leave. She kept the music blasting in her ears, because she was sure that her dad took his time giving her mother exactly what he should have the night she left. And she wasn't about to go back out of her room until the bitch was gone. She had even taken the time to paint her mother as a rotting corpse in a tomb. When she finally looked out the window and saw the car gone, Tara sighed with relief and turned off her music. She wanted to go to Neveah's. Standing up, she grabbed her jean jacket and left her room, glancing at her dad cautiously. "I'm going to Neveah's. I''ll be home by eight." she said, hoping he'd just let her go, too. She didn't want to talk about anything. Pulling her hair in a pony tail, she grabbed her purse that had been on the coffee table.
