"Mitchie DiMarco?" Rachel suggested
Willow shook her head. "I would. But no. Look at who her brother is. And JJ is her cousin. So no. Next?"
Rachel shrugged. "if you say so. Cassandra Woods?"
Willow gave her a look of disgust. "hello, teen mom? Not going to happen."
Rachel bit her lip. "Right. Well...there's always Marissa Manning."
The bell rang for Homeroom to start, thank God. Willow shot the girl a look. Was she a complete idiot? Alexis would have never suggested Marissa. But, Alexis wasn't there. Traitor. Willow was going to make sure she never had a social life again. But, to be honest, it just wasn't the same without her. Willow had really began to resent the day Alexis got a conscious. "Rachel. It may be small, microscopic, even. But you know that mushy, soft part under all that nappy hair? It's called a brain. Try using it sometime" she snapped, watching the girls as they came in. There had to be one that would work.
And then she walked in. Her long blond hair, her sweet smile. Not to mention, her life was perfect. There wasn't anything about her that ever gave Willow anything to torture her about. Looking at Rachel, Willow scoffed and stood up. "You couldn't have thought of her? You're so useless, Rachel."
With that, Willow sauntered over to Neveah, flipping her hair as she sat next to her. "good morning. I love that color on you" she complimented her. "you know Neveah, today is your lucky day"

It was not as easy as one would think. Nevaeh never had it perfect. She didn't get things handed to her on a silver platter. She got into trouble. Okay, so not that often, but still. And she had secrets. Big secrets. Ones that you would not want anyone else to find out. But she liked to make her life seem as though it were perfect.
But it was far from perfect. Definetely. She had always wanted to be popular. But with Willow being Degrassi's queen bee, she did not see that as being a possiblity. Not in the least. Willow had never even noticed her before. And why would she. Nevaeh was nothing special. Nothing special at all. And she was perfectly okay and content with the life she did have.
So Nevaeh was pretty surprised when Willow actually talked to her. She looked down and her pink cashmere sweater and looked back up at Willow with the sweetest smile. "Thank you." she spoke, softly, and nodded. Lucky day? Yeah, because Willow was actually talking to her. "I'm sure it is."

Willow smirked. "You see, Neveah, I was thinking. Your style in clothes is ok, but you know, you would look amazing in some of my clothes. So, I was telling Rachel. You should totally hang out with us." She was speaking with an authoritative tone. She wasn't exactly giving Neveah a choice here. Willow didn't give choices. She gave commands.
Hanging out with Willow was always invitation only. You didn't just join her in anything unless you are first asked to. And when invited, you didn't turn Willow down. That was where Tara had made a mistake. Tara might have been able to join them. Probably not, but it was possible. But, she had told Willow no. And no was a word that Willow did not respond well. "Oh, and one other thing. Ditch the activist."

Ditch the activist? Tara. Tara had been her best friend for like ever. And yes, she did hear about the little incident with her and Willow. How could her friend turn Willow down? She did not understand it. Tara could have been popular. To have everything that she wanted. But instead, she turned it all down. All of it. It was a pretty stupid move in Nevaeh's opinion. Nevaeh would have never turned Willow down. It would be her tcket to popularity. To everything that she ever secretly wanted.
Nevaeh nodded with a smile. "Done." she spoke. Did she actually say that? Maybe her and Tara could just hang out in secret, without anyone else ever knowing. So that she would not be seen with her best friend. All se wanted was Willow's approval. "And I would love to hang out after school."

"Good girl," she said with an approving air. Yes, Neveah would do nicely. It was hard finding girls that made the grade nowadays. "You can spend lunch with us, assuming you put some decent makeup on. You look like a child, Neveah." Willow had standards. Of course, she didn't always have good intentions with people. Like Megan. Megan was never going to be one of them. It was just fun seeing how high she'd jump. And, well, the girl was willing to jump pretty damn high. When she did things like that, she normally built someone up, only to publicly destroy them. But, that wasn't what she was doing here. Neveah would actually be one of them...conditionally, of course.
"Usually, there's a series of tests. Sort of like an initiation. If you prove yourself worthy...well, let's just say there'll be a permanent spot at our table for you." In other words, she was giving Neveah not just the chance to hang out with them once, but to be part of the clique. "Do you think you're up to the challenge?" she echoed the same question she had asked the others. The question she had been asked when she herself became one of the popular crowd. And she never once met a person to say no.

Nevaeh honestly could not believe that this was happening. The fifteen year old admired Willow. She wanted to be part of that clique for months. Secretly wanted. This was something that she never even told Tara, her best friend. She never wanted to admit it. Maybe because she always believed that that would never happen. Why would the popular crowd want her to be a part of their little clique? She always believed that she was nothing special. But maybe that was not the case. Because here Nevaeh was in her homeroom, Willow actually talking to her. She had to be dreaming. Why would Willow want her to join them? Who cared about the reason? All she wanted all year was to be approached by Willow and now it was really happening.
Quickly, Nevaeh nodded. “I am definitely up for the challenge.” She spoke, simply. She would do anything just to become a part of Willow’s clique. “I can do that. I don’t have any on me though. Do you have any makeup? I’ll do anything you want. I am just so glad you are speaking to me.” She could not help but feel excited. “Just name it. I will prove myself worthy to be a part of your clique.”
