In her hands, Tara Rae Maxwell held a carton of eggs. But they weren't just eggs. Now, they may look like the average giant carton of eggs that held five dozen eggs, but they weren't. They were eggs of vengeance. Tara had stayed silent about the break-up, but really, it wasn't like her to do so. She was the girl who dumped formula on anti-abortion protestors. She stood up for rights and against injustice. And this was definitely unjust. This man had torn her family apart. He took her mother from her. She hadn't even made it for her birthday! So now, Tara was going to use her voice. The eggs were going to assist.
By the time she and Audrey arrived at the target's house, it was around one. And in the time it took to go, get the eggs, and be at David's house, Tara had told the girl everything. It was like she was her new best friend. Every detail had been told to the girl, despite the fact that they had barely been introduced during lunch. Tara looked at her watch. Media Immersion would be in session. She wondered where her dad thought she was. She wasn't going to worry, though. Right now, she was going to have fun.
As she walked up the driveway, neither car was in the driveway. Good, they were still gone. The teenager set the eggs down and took out her key to open the package. She looked at her accomplice. "ready?" she asked, taking an egg and holding it out for Audrey.

Audreywas all for vengeance; even if it was someone else's vengeance. Lately, it's technically what she wanted. And if it happened to be someone else's that she was helping exact, then why not? Besides, the man sounded like a complete asshole for breaking up her family that way. He deserved what was coming to him. And really, they were just egging a house, so it couldn't be that bad. She doubted they would even see trouble for it. Of course, thinking that usually meant that they were going to be in a lot of it. She had no problem skipping school; it wasn't as if there was an entire day left anyway. It was mostly over, so they could afford to miss a few classes. It was no big deal. Although, she knew Tara's dad was a teacher, so she wasn't so sure how that worked out. But so what? This was too fun to pass up and even though Audrey barely knew her, she clicked instantly and already was looking forward to the egg toss at the man's house.
No one looked home as they made it up the driveway. "Looks like everything's clear." She grinned, and as the egg was held out, Audrey took it. "More than." She replied and with that threw the egg towards the house, laughing as it smashed against it. There were a lot of eggs to throw too, so she didn't think that they would be running out before it well and covered. It wasn't their fault that it had to be this way. This needed to happen. And Audrey had no qualms about helping out a new friend, even if she knew that if they were caught, they had a chance of getting in trouble. But, hey, maybe even that would be worth it. There was very little that was stopping her. Actually, nothing at all was.

As Tara set the eggs down and picked up one for each hand, her dad's words echoed in her mind. You say it with words and signs. Already, her mind was building up an argument in case she was caught. He never did say what kind of sign. To Tara, this could be a sign. It was a sign that Zack should have left their family alone. Of course, she knew that wasn't the kind of sign her father had been talking about. But, she wouldn't admit to it. It seemed to be a feasible argument in her mind.
She watched as Audrey fired the first shot and looked at her. "Nice arm," she complimented as she scoured the home for a spot. Her eyes rested on the bedroom window that she knew belonged to Zack, and, well, now her mother. Taking a deep breath, she threw her first egg at the window. Immediately, she followed up with the second egg. She wanted nothing more than to cover every inch of that house, starting with the window.
Honestly, she would have taken it further, had she known how much time they had. If she knew that the new couple was gone for the weekend or something, she would have broken in, messed up the house some. Give them a good scare. But, she had no way of knowing when her mom would even be back. So, she settled for egging the house. And man, did it feel good. Watching the mess she had just made, Tara let out a giggle, feeling exhilerated by the vandalism they were committing, and grabbed another egg.
