Was he funny? Angel frowned at her chuckling, but waited for her to let him in on what he was missing out on. When she went on about how things had changed since he was human, he almost winced. It wasn't that people didn't know that, they just didn't have a way to prevent it. Angel thought very little of those kinds of things back then, however. After all, when he was human, all bets were off when the sun rose. He told women all kinds of pretty lies but once morning came and he left, they barely had names. He wouldn't be able to remember them in those last few years anyway. He was typically too drunk at night and his memories of the nights before would be somewhat foggy. No one woman was going to admit to having the bastard child of someone they ran across in a pub anyway. He was young and invincible, both to children and syphilis. Too bad one night in an alley revealed he wasn't invincible at all. And thinking about any of that probably wasn't all that safe with Buffy being capable of picking up on thoughts.
Angel had been around for a long time, and he knew what a condom was. He never needed one, because, being dead, he wasn't going to be spreading anything, and he couldn't have children. Though, before Buffy, there wasn't anybody. But, he knew what they were, what they were for, although he had to wonder if he knew how to use them properly. Angel never had to. "I know what a condom is, Buffy," he informed her, to keep her from going into too much explanation. He was old, but he had been around this whole time. Then, he leaned in for a kiss. "I'll go," he said, pulling away only to kiss her again before he stood up.

At least she didn't have to go on to explain what they looked like. Buffy gave a cute smile when he said he knew what it was.. "Do you know how to use it?" She asked before shaking her head. "Sorry." She never meant to imply the man was lacking in intelligence or that he was ignorant. And right now, she knew that's what it looked like..
She was cut off by a kiss. Buffy gladly kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck. She didn't want to let him go, but knew she needed to. "Hurry back," she whispered. Since he absolutely had to leave, she wanted him back as soon as he could make it. Too bad he didn't have the ability to teleport. That would really come in handy right about now.,

"How hard can it be?" Angel considered himself smart. If he could figure out how to kill a demon or how to open up a hell dimension then surely he could figure out how to use something as human as a condom. Again, he kissed her, before he pulled back completely. "I will." While Angel didn't necessarily want to leave again, he knew that he had to. And it gave him more chances to walk out there. The novelty of the sun hadn't quite worn off yet and he didn't know if it was going to any time soon. He left the room and then the mansion, taking yet another trip to the store. This time, it was a significantly less time frame. It took half the time as his trip for food, and he used common sense when it came to his choice. He just needed something that would get the job done.
Eager, he made his way back to the mansion. It had been maybe ten minutes since he left and the former vampire with a soul turned up in the doorway again. A part of him worried that he was taking things too far. He had no way of knowing what was going to happen later. For all he knew, he was going to end up back to his old self in no time and all of this would have been false hope. But, when he saw Buffy, he caught himself not caring. He wanted to be with her and if he had the chance, he wasn't going to waste it, even if he didn't know for sure what was going on with him or why this really happened in the first place. "Is there a rule somewhere that says everything has to come with complicated choices?" He asked, but walked to the bed taking the box out of the bag.

Buffy watched him go, and this time took off her jacket and tossed it to the side and pulled out her hairtie, letting her hair fall. The more she sat there, the more nervous she became. What if on the way back, Angel remembered how she had slept with Owen just because she knew that he could smell him on her? What if he decided that she wasn't worth it? She wished she could hear his trail of thoughts as he went to the store and came back.
Buffy decided to make it hard for the man to say no. As she waited for him to come back, she stripped down to her bra and panties. When she heard him coming, she hopped on the bed and laid on her side.As he returned, she grinned at him. "Welcome to the twentieth century," she answered when he asked his question. She got on her knees as he got the box out and put a hand on his cheek, kissing him tenderly.

Angel's eyes were immediately taken by the sight of her laying there. He let his gaze skim over her body, practically devouring her with his eyes alone. The thought that she was beautiful ran through his mind more than once and he took a moment just to look at her, relishing in the sight. He could feel his heartbeat quicken in his chest, anticipating what was to come. This was something he thought they would never share again. After he lost his soul the first time, he never wanted to risk it again. They couldn't let anything happen. But, now that he was human, they could have it all they wanted. He arrived at the bed and sat down, immediately catching her lips in a kiss when she initiated it. He set the box on the bed, assuming that they would get to it once they reached that point.
"I love you, Buffy," he whispered as he parted their lips for just a second before kissing her once more. His hand reached out, brushing over the petite slayer's cheek. He wanted this so badly, and he felt like there was no way that it couldn't be a mutual feeling. It was like a dream come true... All of it. Every aspect of being human was a dream, but the most surreal and perfect part was being able to be with her.

All fears vanished when she saw the look in his eyes. She blushed at the thought that she was beautiful. She looked up in his eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck once more. "I love you too," she said before sliding down onto her back. This was something she had wanted for so long. She thought she would have to live and die without ever sleeping with anyone, because she wanted Angel and couldn't sleep with him. But now, he was human. God, she loved this. She kissed him back when his lips touched hers, and she pressed her body against his.

Just last night, this would have been unthinkable. It would have been nothing more than a dream and Angel did dream. No matter how badly he wanted her, Angel would never risk releasing Angelus on her or any of them again. He couldn't bear what would happen if that occurred. But without the risk there, he felt free of that burden. As she slid down onto her back, he manoeuvred over her, pressing his body against hers as he kissed her. His skin practically tingled with every touch, and his heart was racing with an anticipation for more. One of his hands ran over her side, brushing his fingertips over the bare skin while his lips travelled from her lips and to her jawline, pressing quick, loving kisses over it before brushing over her throat. Suddenly, he couldn't have been more grateful that she found out. He might have tried to hide that he was human in the library before, but as of now, it was the last thing on his mind. He wanted her and he wouldn't have been able to have her if he kept it to himself.

Earlier, Buffy had asked how this had happened. Suddenly, she no longer cared. How it happened wasn't important anymore, just that it did. And she hoped it would last. God, she would never ask for anything more if he could stay a human forever. As his hands traveled, so did hers. She slid them under his shirt, and that is when she noticed it for the first time. They had kissed, they had touched before this. But she never noticed it "You're so warm," she whispered. She was used to the chill of his skin. To feel the warmth of it made him being human really come alive. She smiled after making her observation and kissed him.

Angel, too, was used to there being a contrast between their body temperatures. He felt warm and when he touched her, he didn't feel that distinct difference. Even touching her now made his body heat up more than it could before. While being a vampire for so long made it easy to forget that it felt different to be human, he was recognizing it more than ever now. As her hands brushed over the skin of his torso, he felt a shudder erupt down his spine and the tingling spread over his body. He smiled against her neck, "I know," he murmured, pressing his lips to it again, before deepening the kisses, allowing his tongue to graze over the sensitive skin. If this was a dream, he hoped that he never had to wake up from it. He wanted to stay in it and never come out again. He didn't want to give up his humanity. Maybe someone out there finally thought it appropriate to give him that second chance.

Her breathing quickened as she felt his tongue against her neck. With a soft moan, she pulled her mouth away from his neck and tugged on his shirt. It just seemed to her that he had too many items of clothing on. She looked in his eyes and smiled. She absolutely loved the former vampire with a soul. That was something she couldn't say of Owen. When she slept with him, it was a mix of rebound and spite. Angelus had informed her that he could smell it on her when she slept with someone. Since he found it fun to pop up and torture her, she wanted to give a little back. She knew Owen liked her, and, well, after that there only one, maybe two blocks to the nearest motel. Buffy would never have done it if she knew that he would get his soul back, let alone turn into a human.
Being with Owen was all heat and no passion. The boy was cute, but Buffy was so over that. Angel was the one she had passion for, and he was the only one. She could have slept with hundreds of men and not feel a thing for any of them but Angel. This--being with Angel like this--was so much better than that. She felt the passion as his lips touched her skin. What she did with Owen was sex. What she was doing with Angel was making love.

The tug on his shirt caused him to retract slightly, removing his lips from her neck, although he felt like losing that warmth or her taste was the worst kind of punishment. He slipped his shirt off, tossing it aside before he leaned down again, his skin brushing heatedly against hers. He felt his own warm to the touch, matching her heat. It felt incredible, and his pulse raced, and while some might wish that their heart couldn't be heard so loudly, there was such a novelty in having a heartbeat after being still and dead for so long. He dipped his head down to her shoulder, pressing kisses along her shoulder and to her collarbone, lavishing her skin with attention. His hands were no better, running over the skin of her abdomen slowly, tracing the curve of her body.
There was no one that compared to Buffy. Angel had had sex for, many times, and a lot of great sex. But, nothing was like Buffy. When he was with her, it was heart, soul and body, like some epic connection that he couldn't have known before. He knew it was probably ridiculous, but the love he had for Buffy couldn't be compared to anything else. It was real, and she was the one person that could make him truly happy, to the point of forgetting about everything. One of his hands slid from her side to her back, slipping beneath her to idly play with the back of her brassiere, intending to unfasten it if she let him.

With his short off, Buffy's hands massaged his back and then came back around to the front. She paused, letting her hand enjoy the feel of her boyfriend's heartbeat for a moment. It was a true miracle. Buffy had no doubt about that. She had known Ange; for so long that feeling his heart was surreal. She remembered the first time she saw Angel's real face, when she learned that he was a vampire. Buffy had been terrified. He had posed a danger (or so she thought.) Her response when she learned that he was human was quite different. She was elated; she had never been happier about anything in her entire eighteen years. Sure, he was now one more human that she had to protect. But that was a fraction of a price compared to what had been given to them.
As his hand slid behind her, she slid her arms around his neck and pulled herself up, pressing against him. She wanted to give him a little bit of room, so he could do the deed she knew he wanted to. Her mouth caressed his jawline lovingly as she waited for her bra to come off. This was so perfect. Nothing at all could make it any better. Who needed class when she was doing something she enjoyed ten million times better?

This wasn't supposed to be able to happen. For the rest of eternity, Angel was sure that they'd never have this again. He dreamt of it, wished for it, but it was never going to happen. Not until now. So far, the only thing he thought about was how perfect it was to be human. It hadn't occurred to him how much stronger she was of him now or how little he could do in the fight. That hadn't hit him yet. All he knew was the warmth of the sun, his heartbeat and now the touch of her skin against his. Sure, they could have tried to do things without ever hitting that moment of happiness, but it was a slope that he didn't want to try to go down, in fear that he couldn't stop. It was better to keep the temptation at bay, though Buffy was always tempting. Nimbly, he unfastened the bra, before pulling back and slowly he rested her back down so she could get it off of her arms.
He didn't want anything between them. He wanted to feel his skin against hers, and he wanted that heat to grow. Before, his heat seemed to mirror hers, he would relish in what her body was putting off and the energy his own expended. He let out a soft sound of pleasure as her lips touched his jawline and slowly dipped his head to capture her lips with his own in a tender kiss. He couldn't get enough of her. "Buffy," he whispered, just to say her name, to hear it fall from his lips as he kissed her, addicted to those kisses.

Her hands gently rubbed his biceps, feeling his arms as he unfastened her bra. When she laid back down, she quickly pulled the stupid thing off and tossed it, not caring in the least where it landed. She would need it much, much later. For now, it was useless. She looked in his eyes for a second before closing them and kissing him back, drinking in the passion and matching it at the same time. Her hands slowly went down to his pants, feeling the button but not undoing it just yet. When he pulled away and said her name, she wondered if she was going too quickly for the two-hundred-and-forty-year-old.
Her eyes went down to gaze at what her hands were doing for just a second before looking back up at him. "Angel?" she answered him with a question hanging there, as if to inquire if there was something he wanted or needed to say. Looking in those dark brown eyes of his, though, she quickly smiled and added "I love you." The words seemed inadequate to describe how she felt about him. She didn't just love him. Words, however, con't begin to describe it, so she left it at that.

Angel looked down at her, his eyes wondering over her smooth skin, over the recently exposed area and relished in the sight. She was so beautiful, and at the moment, she was the only thing that could even cross his mind. It was all Buffy. Not that Buffy wasn't on his mind constantly before, but now it was nothing more than a string of thoughts. His fingertips slowly skimmed over her collarbone and down between the rise of her breasts all the way to her flat stomach, just grazing over her soft skin before kissing her again. There was nothing that he needed to say, but simply loved the sound of her name, and the way it was whispered out. He felt her hand on the button of his pants and subtly his hips pressed against hers as if giving silent permission while his mouth took the trip down from her lips to her chin, jaw and down her neck, following further to her collarbone, and slowly running his tongue over the bone.
"I love you too," he whispered back, but never answered the question posed with his name. It wasn't too fast for him, and there was nothing at all that he had to say that was really relevant. He just wanted to say her name, and to let her know how much he loved her. He didn't want to push her, of course, but he missed this. They might have only had it once, but it had been so amazing then... He loved her too much for words. And so he chose actions instead.
