Sam pulled into the precinct, parking in the spot specifically reserved for the captain. It was just after 12:30; Sam knew that his little brother would be going to lunch in just a few moments. He parked his lambourgini and got out, sporting his Toronto Raptors jacket and wearing leather pants and a white wife-beater shirt underneath his jacket. He lit a cigarette and walked right past the no smoking sign. He looked around and spotted a young blond woman, most likely the woman he talked to on the phone. He smirked and walked up to her desk, sitting on it and inhaling from his cigarette. "Hey, doll. Detective Simpson still around?"
The girl, who was typing way at her computer, smelled the smoke and said, "yes, but you'll need to put that-" she looked up at him and melted into a smile. He was gorgeous! She forgot what she was saying and just stared at him.
Sam smirked. and caressed her cheek before playing with her hair. "The name's Sam, pet. What's yours?"
"uhh...Je-Jenny. Are you a basketball player?"
"That's right. Simpson's my baby brother. Is he around?"
She nodded, not able to say a word.
Sam chuckled and flicked the ashes onto the floor. He loved it when girls were like this. They swooned all over him and he relished in it. He forgot about his brother for the moment and concentrated on Jenny. Jenny--that was such a pretty name. He'd been with five or six dozen Jennies. He could be wrong, but he thought that was the number anyways. He'd invite her to join him for dinner, and dinner would lead to drinks, and drinks would lead to a one-night stand in one of Andre's guest rooms. Sam loved the way this worked.

"Oh, hey, I've got an idea too. Call me when you have something I can use," the person on the other end of the phone tried to interrupt, but Andre already hung up. The phone was being slipped into his coat pocket while he left his office. Half the time, he took his lunch on the move, or barely stopped for it. But, that day, he had just enough time to get out of the precinct and away from his desk that was becoming a safety net for loads of paperwork. A familiar sight stopped him, however, a familiar sight that he really didn't want to be faced with. The detective almost cringed. Not Sam. He was never happy to see Sam. And there he was, smoking a cigarette and chatting up the girl at her desk. God, he was worse than Davey. "Did you forget how to read signs? There's no smoking here." Andre said sternly, arms already crossing over his chest. No, he wasn't thrilled to see him, but his brother shouldn't expect any different. Andre had never had a close relationship with him, not a close one that he enjoyed. No, he was the one that always got blamed for everything, or never quite lived up to his reputation. Not to mention, he liked to scare the hell out of him and steal his girlfriends. Andre didn't forgive easy, even family, and Sam did nothing to make him want to.
"What're you doing here? If this is some half-brained scheme to get me to wipe some stupid parking ticket, you're out of luck. I've got more important things to deal with than you," he informed him rude from the start. It was the way he always was with his brother. He started on the defensive, because he knew he was going to have to manoeuvre to it eventually. The best way to go about it was just to start off strong and hope that he wasn't about to go picking away at him or his weaknesses. Andre was not looking forward to spending any time with him. Hell, since he arrived in Toronto, he made no move to contact him at all. Andre was more than happy without a family reunion. He was content with him being the type of family he didn't want to see even once a year.

Sam had put the cigarette between his lips when he heard his brother. Smiling, he looked down at Jenny. "How about you write down your number for me, doll, and we'll go for a drink?" he asked and instantly the girl nodded and grabbed a pen and paper. He looked back at Andre. "Hey, hey! It's Sherlock! Looking good, little bro!" he said and gave Andre a halfway hug. As he pulled away, the girl had the paper for him and he took it, pocketing it.
"Oh, I know. I know. Been reading up on you. Serial killer, big, serious stuff. And that is why I am here. To take you out to lunch." He inhaled again and grinned. "Come on, Andre. I won't be smoking here if you come with me.," he added, and it was true. Because, he'd be out with him. That was the only way to get rid of him today.
"Like the jacket? I belong to Toronto now. It's like fate. You're here, I'm here, and I hear the jailbird's even out of her cage now. Destiny has brought us together, man," Or rather, multimillion dollar contracts did. Sam wouldn't have given a rat's ass about destiny if he wasn't getting paid big for this. But, if he said that, it might put a damper on the whole Destiny-brought-us-together thing.

"Don't call me that," Andre's name wasn't Sherlock, and he refused to be called it. Though, he never had a choice in the matter. He had protested the name from the first time he called him it. For courtesy sake, he returned the half-hug and pulled away. He almost groaned out loud when he said they were going out. He was hoping to have some peace when he ate, but that wasn't going to happen. So, begrudgingly, he nodded. "Sure, come on," he wanted him out of the building with his cigarette. "How do you even play smoking those things?" He asked, since he didn't think his lungs could be too healthy, but then again, smoking affected different people differently. Sighing, he started to walk when he heard him reference his jacket. He tried not to pay much attention to his brother's clothes. Could he be more pretentious? God, probably. When he heard that he was under contract for Toronto, he wanted to pray to whatever God would listen in hope that they would make him go back. But, that wasn't going to happen.
"Yeah?" He asked, "Cleveland is still a hell of a lot better," he informed him. And that wasn't the first time he voiced that sentiment when it came to his brother's team. And the Cavaliers were a damn good team. Even if Toronto ever beat them (which he highly doubted they would) he would still back them as a better team. Andre, however, was more of a hockey and football fan. That was where he kept his eyes. But, he didn't play either of them. Sports had been fun in high school but it wasn't a lifelong dream for him and he was just about average as far as players went. He was no all-star. "You got a place in mind?" He asked, referring to somewhere to eat. Andre was more than happy to find the cheapest place that had take out. He had never been one to overspend. Except for when he gambled, then things got a little out of hand.

"Were better, bro. With Sammy Slammer Jammer, I wouldn't bet on them now." He said with conceit as he started to follow him to the door."Let's hit the Dot. It's been years since I've been over there." It was when he spotted a brunette walking in Andre's direction that he actually stopped talking and whistled. She was hot! And luckily for her, she was stopping to talk to Andre with a file in her hand. He stood by, waiting for the perfect moment to use his charms on her.
Grace had been in the PD just long enough to retrieve a personal item from her locker, when the sergeant saw her and asked her to run a police report on one of the victims to Andre. She had agreed to do it, because she wanted to see how Hannah was doing. Grace entered the precinct in tight jeans and a low-cut blouse with a gold chain necklace hanging low. Her brown hair bounced as she walked, her high heels clicking against the floor. "Hey, sorry, I know you're on your way out, but I told Sarge I'd deliver this to you." she told Andre, holding out the file for him to take. When she heard whistling, she looked up at the man and rolled her eyes. "Try getting a dog, they tend to come when you do that" she said sarcastically.
"I don't need a dog, just a sweet little-" he reached out to touch her shoulder and she grabbed his wrist and flipped him onto his back. She hated being hit on by older scum. She looked up at Andre, hoping he wouldn't be too mad at her for that one. She knew this guy was obviously not a cop, but he was also obviously considerably older than her and she loathed guys like that. "you gonna write me up?" she questioned; she knew that he wouldn't arrest her, but as far as disciplinary action was concerned, she wasn't so sure.
