That was a pretty easy choice, even if it was blindingly early in the morning. They would be together all day, but Chance was actually a little intimidated by Jay. He only met him a few times, and that was in the company of Marco, when he was just a kid. Besides, they needed ample time to catch up with one another. A lot had changed, even in the few years that they hadn't seen each other. It was obvious that a lot of changed went on with her, and the same could really be said of himself. They were two different people, but in general, just the same, which was what made it interesting to begin with. "Well, I don't have any plans today," He began thoughtfully, a grin appearing on his face, hinting at what his decision was going to be.
"I don't mind sticking around until 8." That was probably what-- A full twelve hours from now? It didn't matter to him though. The more time, the better. Besides, he really needed to hang out with people that weren't his actual family. As much as he loved them (and he did, completely, and indiscriminately) they were the the most dramatic bunch of people he'd been around in a long time. They were going through a lot, but honestly, teenagers going through that much drama was enough to make anyone's head explode. Even calm, level-headed Chance. So, he was going to take the opportunity to be with someone he could hang out and actually have fun with.

Grace grinned "me neither. Although I would like to get changed and drop off my weapons" she said as she held up her gun holster with a giggle. Most people didn't like the idea of Grace with a gun. Maybe it was because the first time she ever tried to use one, she shot her trainer in the foot by accident. But hey! She was better at it noww

It might have seemed like a little much to want to spend that much time with her. That was an entire day before they actually went out and took advantage of their plans. But, he wanted to catch up with her. It had been so long and obviously a lot had changed between them. Not to mention, he was feeling a little bit nostalgic for people that he knew. Not that he didn't know people where he had been and through work and school, but it was different being home and around people that he had known growing up. He didn't know how to describe it, but it was. And Grace was someone he never really got to know too well, because... She was Grace.
"Oh yeah, of course." He replied with a bit of a laugh. He couldn't imagine that she wanted to stick around in her cop clothes, much less with a gun on her holster. Well, unless she liked the security of a gun. Personally, Chance thought it was a little intimidating carrying that around while in civilian clothes.

Grace smiled and let out a giggle. "And I'm suddenly wide awake. Wow, Chance, you're more effective than coffee" And now, she was downright flirting. But Chance was more than just good-looking, even though that was a major plus. After all, he had left a two and came back a ten. But he was different from all the guys she ever hooked up with, and definitely the opposite from Ashton. Grace had learned the hard way about messing around with guys like that. It was dangerous. She needed someone safe.
Chance was safe. Chance was the smart guy who also happened to be sweet. Grace didn't have to be anything but herself around him. She had done the slut thing for years. It had gotten really old, and into trouble. She was ready to try being with someone normal for once. As long as Jay didn't scare him away.
