"You're lucky. I never knew my mother. I don't even know who my father is." She shrugged. "I live with my aunt."

"Oh...I'm sorry. I-I shouldn't have asked." Megan looked down. "I know how it feels to lose a mother. My father killed my mother." She shrugged. "I visit her grave always. But my dad doesn't know that. I don't even know how he would feel if he knew."

Alexis looked away and nodded. "I guess. I don't know." She looked down, not wanting to talk about her sister.

Marissa looked to JJ. "And what would you possibly wanna tell me? Huh?"

Gracie grinned. "Most definetely. I'd really like that."

Hallie nodded. "You're sweeter than the guys I know in my life."

Selena nodded. "Well, anything's easy if you put your mind to it."

"cool! Let's go" he said and jumped up.

"what happened to her?" he asked.

"you trying to say my dad killed her?" he demanded. Getting defensive because he had.

Nesse grabbed Ulyssus' arm. "No, no. Sit back down."

Trixie shrugged. "All I know is that she died. I don't know how." she spoke, softly, turning her attention to the teacher.

"No! Of course not. I'm sorry. I'm just-" Megan swallowed and looked over to Ms. Aden.

Alexis shrugged. "We used to. But people change. It's no big deal." she whispered, sadly, before looking up to the front of the class.

Marissa didn't pay attention to the teacher. She was too preoccupied by what JJ was saying. She leaned in closer. "What?" she hissed in a whisper. "What do you wanna say?"

"Tonight." Gracie agreed and looked to Ms. Aden.

Hallie smiled sweetly, before looking to the teacher.

Selena nodded. "I guess." And she went quiet when she heard Ms. Aden.

"marissa, you now have detention, and you two have volunteered to present first. Thank you. Wives, lirten up. If you are working, raise your hand"

Marissa sat up straight in her seat. When Hazel asked which of the wives were working, everyone, except for Gracie, raised their hands.

"you will be going to the computer lab to research your careers. Gracie, come up here. Men, you will also be going. Homework tonight, decide what kind of home you live in and type a paragraph describing it. That's it, the lab is waiting"

All of the girls went to the computer lab. Except for Gracie, who went up to the teacher. "Yes, Ms. Aden?"
