Ben got the surgery without anyone even knowing about it. Finding out about how Megan got the money made him realize that him dying would have a major impact on the family and leave several kids shattered. He might be ready to say goodbye, but they weren't.

Once released from the hospital, Ben bought a superman shirt with the gem shape and the S and put it on Megan's bed. This time around, it stood for Super Megan. She was his hero

he also left a note, saying "come in my room, we need to talk. Dad." and went in his room and waited for her

After going for a walk, Megan headed back to the house. She set her bag near the front door and headed up to room, deciding to get started on some of her Algebra homework. As she walked into her bedroom, she noticed the shirt and a card on her bed. Walking over, she picked up the card, and read it. Dad was home? Did that mean he got the surgery? Hopefully, he didn't know of where the money came from. She only did it to save her family. She smiled, softly, before leaving her room, and walking to her dad's bedroom. She knocked on the door, before opening it. "Daddy?" she whispered, softly.

Did he know about what she had done? Had Chance told him? Nodding, Megan shut the door behind her and walked over, taking a seat. "You-you wanted to talk?"

Ben nodded and sat back "I think I owe you an apology" he said, looking down at his hands

"A-an apology? What do you have to be sorry for?" she asked, slightly confused.

Megan bit down on her bottom lip, and looked down. "Who told you that I had found you?" She looked back up, and shook her head. "I don't want to lose you, daddy. I need you here."

Ben nodded "Matt" he said softly "look, Meg. I get it, ok? And you've shown that you're loyal to me. But loyalty has its price, Pumpkin"

Loyalty? It had it's price? "Chance told you, didn't he?" She shook her head, and looked down. She wanted to be mad at her brother for telling, but it wasn't like he promised her he wouldn't. She wanted him to promise, but he just wouldn't. No, he said that he'd tell if he had to.

Megan wrapped her arms around her dad. "I didn't plan on doing it that way. I just needed a get a way car. I was gonna rob a bank, daddy." She blinked back tears. "I'm sorry. I just couldn't lose you too."
