"No, Tara. We'll leave in a second." Danny said, warning her that the conversation wasn't over yet and she wouldn't just be walking away. He needed to talk to her, but the extent of that, he didn't want to do in front of a teacher. "Actually, you can take your attitude in the hall and wait, if you want. But, don't go anywhere." He warned, and he would track her down if she tried to. He wasn't ready to end this conversation, but at the same time, he wasn't going to trap her in the classroom. He thought that she had made her opinion on it completely clear. He might not have thought that there was anything dangerous in her paintings, but at the same time, they spoke of an underlying problem. She shouldn't be having her mom die in paintings, although, he knew it was only art and she wouldn't really do anything to her. It was the principal behind it.
Then, with a look to Andrew, he sighed. "I'm sorry for the trouble." He said, though figured it couldn't be too far from understandable. And he didn't think it was the worst thing that could have happened. Paintings were better than serious trouble, really. "What were these an assignment for anyway?" He asked, more or less curious about the context that she decided to bring them up in. That seemed important to know.

Tara stared at her father, studying him. Did he mean it? If she stepped out into the hallway, would she be in trouble? Shrugging, she decided to risk it and grabbed her backpack, stepping out into the hallway. Her foot scuffed against the wall as she waited for him. She had never thought this would happen. Biting her lip, she slid into a sitting position against the wall and pulled out her mp3 player, slipping the ear phones on before she turned it on and closed her eyes. She wished she could be anywhere but here right now.
Andrew had, up until then, been silent, but when Danny addressed him, he nodded. "It's all right. I understand" did he? Partially. Of course, he couldn't fully understand. When he asked about the assignments, he pointed. "The first couple were supposed to be just whatever was on their minds. But then, I assigned them to paint a dream, paint a solution to a problem. The last one..." he drifted off, but he did point to the word HAPPY on the board. "I'm sure you can understand my concern." She never let up. No matter what he assigned them, it was always her mother dying at the hand of her father. And that wasn't normal.
