Destiny didn't really like being around a whole bunch of strangers. Not really. It was just hard to know whom ahe could trust and whom she could not. What would one expect after the three years she had gone through. Pretending to be someone else's daughter. In those three year, things had been so strict. She went to school ad came back home. Destiny was not allowed to have any friends or to talk at all unless spoken to. And if she did, the consequences tended to be severe. If she disobeyed, she would often be locked in the basement for days with no food. Once she was even locked down there for a whole week.
But now she was back home. She learned that her parents were dead. Dead! She couldn't believe this. But she still tried to be cheerful. To act happy-go-lucky. Even if all the girl really wanted to do was cry. Cry!
And now, for the past week, Destiny had been staying in the shelter. Se was waiting for her brother to get her. But she wasn't sure if he would come anytime soon. And being her scared her. So she hoped it would be soon.
Destiny walked over to her bed, and took a seat on the edge, looking around. She really did hate it here. Buit it had to be safer than staying out there, on the streets.

Graham knew he needed to deal. His sister was long gone, his parents were gone. He needed to deal. So what did he do? He immersed himself in work. He took way more units than full-time and lived, breathed college. At this rate, he would be graduating a lot quicker than expected. When he was invited to a fashion study in Paris for a week, he took it. What else did he have to live for? How the hell was he supposed to know that his sister would miraculously show up out of the blue? He didn't even get the call until he came back. He got home, checked his messages, and that is when he heard the message. Immediately, he was right back out the door. He had to go get her!
He arrived at the shelter and didn't think twice to walk right past sign-ins and up the stairs. He could hear a lady telling him he couldn't be there, but he didn't care. "Destiny!" his voice boomed through the halls. He had to see her! He had to hug her. He had to--"Destiny!!"

Being here...it scared her. And her roommate. It was some young girl. Maybe 18. And she did not seem all there. She seemed to always be talking to someone who was not really there. It did kind of freak her out. She just wish that her parents were here. She wished that her brother was her. All Destiny had thought of for the past three years was being able to see her family once again.
And no her parents were gone...dead...But she had been holding in all her pain, all her tears. No, she refused to cry. Not here. She couldn't. She just counted the days, hours, minutes that went by until she would see hr brother soon.
And then she heard it....Her name. Someone calling for her. But was she just hearing things? It wouldn't have been the first time. But she definetely recongnized that voice...her brother's voice. Slowly getting to her feet, the young girl walked out into the hallway and headed down the hall. And that was when she saw him and she felt like she couldn't breathe. She had missed him so much. She had missed her big brother. He was somebody that she always wanted to be most like. "G-Graham?" she whispered, fighting the urge to cry.

His arms wrapped around her, closing his eyes. "My god. I never thought I'd see you again," he said, his voice cracking. "How did you get here?" She had been taken from them. Graham had never been the same since that day. But he had grown up, moved on, and thought that he was okay. Now, seeing her, he knew he wasn't. He would never have been ok if she hadn't ever shown up. He held his sister tight for a moment before pulling away and looking at her.
"Come on. You're not staying here. I have an apartment" he said, putting his hand on her back. He wasn't going to stay here if he didn't have to. The place was nothing that he wanted to be in. How could she have lived here? The man cringed at it but headed for the stairs with her.

When her brother wrapped his arms around her, Destiny had done the same. She could not believe it. It didn't feel real. But she had only dreamed of being back here for three years now. The young girl could feel tears brimming her eyes, but she quickly blinked them back. Destiny looked up at her brother when he had pulled away.
"I ran away..." she whispered, softly. "I just wanted to go home." When said that she wasn't staying here, Destiny definitely would not argue against that. She hated it here and she just wanted to go back home. To go back to where she belonged. So she followed him downstairs and towards the front entrance.

Graham headed out the door with her. He looked at her and sighed "my place is a bachelor pad. We'll have to get you a bed...and some clothes. And it's kinda small, but it works" he explained.

Honestly, it didn't bother Destiny in the least. The girl was used to sleeping on the ground, wearing the same clothes for days. So it wasnt really that important. "Don't worry." she whispered. "Take your time. I can sleep on the floor until then. I'm used to it." she answered as she looked around.

Graham shook his head "no you won't. I won't let you," he said, leading her to his car

Destiny nodded. Either way was fine with her. She was use to hardly having nothing. Only 7 outfits, one for each day of the week. A pair of pajamas and a pair of ratty old looking sneakers. She hardly got meals throughout the week. At this time, Destiny only weighed 101 lbs. She knew that she would need to work on getting her weight up. Though, it may not be that easy to do so. But she would not talk about all she had been through.
Remaining quiet, Destiny had walked with her big brother to his car and climbed into her passenger seat, immediately putting on her seatbelt.

Graham bit his lip as he started the car. He had no idea what to say. It wasn't like he was ever kidnapped. He didn't know what she was going through. He kept his eyes on the street as he drove. He wasn't a rich guy. But Destiny--she deserved everything. Besides, he hadn't used his credit card in a few months. He had at least a thousand on that. He'd just have to work hard to pay it off.
Parking the car, he nodded "come on" he said and got out. He had his eye on the goal. Just like soccer

Destiny was silent the whole time. She loved her brother. She always had. The girl had looked up to him before. She had wanted to be like him. She use to follow him around, wanting to hang out with him alot. She wanted to be with him more than making friends at school. But after three years, things have changed. She was not so sure in what to say anymore.
Quietly, the 15-year-old got out of the store and followed her brother into the store.

Graham looked back at her. "You need a dresser. You know, to hold your clothes in." yes, because that was the definition of a dresser. Good job, Graham! Telling himself he was an idiot, he walked around to where they displayed them. "Pick the one you want" he told her with a shrug. "price don't matter, you know?"

Well, of course Destiny knew what a dresser was for. She had only been gone for 3 years. But she didn't say anything. She only nodded. "Okay." she spoke softly and looked to the dressers. There were several different kinds. Different sizes and colours. Biting on her lip, she looked at them. She spotted this cute black one that even came with a mirror. She looked down at the price. 250 She looked to her brother. "I-I like this one. But-are you sure its not too much?"

Graham waved it away "never. Grab the ticket, and we'll have it delivered," he said gently. He didn't plan on saying no today.

Destiny smiled, softly, and nodded, grabbing the ticket. She really had been so use to having no one. To hardly having anything. It was hard to adjust to all of this. And she knew that it would eventually take time.
