"Yeah, well this one needs to be taken care—" He was cut off when her fingers touched his face. That wasn't what he was expecting from her. He didn't flinch back, and instead gave her a perplexed look. "Slayer. Boxer Rebellion; before I killed her." He said casually, it was the one scar on his body that never faded. He achieved it almost one hundred years before and it remained in position on his eyebrow. He didn't think that one slayer was going to be too fond of listening to how he killed another one of them. Though, maybe it would stop her from touching his face. After all, the girl that gave him that scar to begin with had the same powers as her and didn't last. Maybe she didn't think the way he was.
Spike picked up on the flirty nature she was dishing out and it was baffling. Did she forget who he was? He was a vampire, the one that promised to kill her... He wasn't the the brooding wonder with his soul. He was soulless and not in need of anything the blonde slayer could give him. "Was twenty-six when I died, pet. Got a whole hundred and then some added to that now." Spike retorted. He might have had his life cut off at twenty-six, but by no means was that his age. He'd lived an entire century after that. And in the time that he had been that age, it would've been completely out of the question to so much as be in girl's bedroom with her alone. Not that any girl would have been—But, the case remained that the twenty-six year old vacated the premises a good one hundred and eighteen years ago. "Are you feeling all right? You're actin' kind of off."

"Sounds exciting." Buffy wasn't listening to the words that were coming out of his mouth. She was only focused on flirting. He could have just related a traumatizing experience, and that would have been her response. Buffy wanted to get her mind off of Angel and that girl. And Spike....was cute....and had a great accent...and he was there. Three very good reasons to hit on him.
She giggled when he called her pet. "Pet. I like it," she said, pressing against him, hoping to get him to lay back. She rubbed his chest and when he asked if she was feeling all right, she pouted. "My boyfriend was flirting with another girl. I have a special need, Spike.,..and he's not here to fulfill it." and with that, she leaned in and kissed him.

Exciting? Well, it was exciting. Amongst all of the chaos and destruction in China, he had his shot at his first slayer. It had been one of the highest points of his unlife. It had been a long time ago, but he could still recall the taste of her blood and the way it made him feel. It was like a sort of high that lasted him forever. And it happened again with the second. Still, while it was exciting for a vampire, it shouldn't have been exciting for a slayer to hear that one of her own had been killed by the vampire sitting on her bed. "You did hear me, didn't you? I-killed-a-slayer," he repeated slowly. Why in the bloody hell was she flirting with him? They were enemies! He might be asking for her help but he wasn't asking for—
Then she was giggling and pressing against him; the vampire wasn't sure how to react to that and so he slowly leaned his body backwards, all the while giving her a quizzical look. It was when she admitted what was going on that he actually choked back a laugh as soon as her lips touched his. He pulled back from it, giving her an amused smirk. "What? Soul boy's not putting out? So, you're trying to get your jollies off with me?" He chuckled, "Now that's rich, pet." No, it was no way to actually preserve the moment. But, Spike didn't care about that. This was too amusing.

Buffy felt a blow to her pride and sat up. "You know what?" she stood up. "Maybe you'd rather take a bath." she said and went to her dresser. Where was her holy water? She couldn't even remember where she put it. Crossing her arms, she turned to face him. "This is your fault." she decided. Was it? He didn't ask to be hit on. And she wasn't so sure that Angel would see it as being the blond vampire's fault. But she was upset by how he responded to her.
He had asked her for help. What was she doing? Buffy sat at her desk and looked down. "I don't handle jealousy well. You didn't see the girl, Spike. She was....really pretty. With her long brown hair and god, I would kill for that really pretty white dress." she looked back up at him. "She was perfect," she said sullenly, moping over the thought of it.

Spike sat up on her bed again, raising an eyebrow as she decided that he needed to take a bath. "Well, if you ins—" Spike cut himself off when he realized what she meant. Oh, now she was all kinds of pissy at him, wasn't she? Well, for once, this wasn't his fault. He didn't ask for her to try to get off with him. And he specifically didn't ask to be doused in holy water. When she didn't return to shower him with it, however, he felt some relief. It was only a deterrent, but an annoying one at that. When she said it was his fault, he scoffed at her. "Oh, right, 'cause I came in here hopin' to be your Angel substitute. No thank you, you're barking up the wrong vamp, luv." He crossed his own arms, but didn't get off her bed, especially not when she mentioned who Angel was with. It was a vague description, but he could guess who it was without so much as a second thought. Angel wasn't exactly the social guy of the year, and there was one woman who fit that description perfectly tonight: Drusilla.
"Son of a bitch," he grumbled under his breath, but he didn't feel like he should have been giving details to her. One, he didn't need her hunting down his girlfriend, and two, he didn't feel like sharing tales of jealousy with Buffy. Since Angel had a soul, there was nothing to worry about. He doubted he would kill her, but the idea that she was always attracted and drawn to Angel bothered him. Well, Angelus, more specifically. Still, he didn't trust him. "Could team up and stake him if you'd like," he offered with a shrug of his shoulders. Hey, he had no qualms about finishing off Angel.

Buffy smiled a little when he called him that. "yeah," she had to agree there. Of course, she had no way of knowing if he had actually done anything. Still, her imagination was carried away and telling her that he did. Buffy didn't like the images that her imagination was giving her, either. They stirred up feelings of jealousy.
When he offered to help kill Angel, she was stunned. "Wow, you really want me to help you, don't you?" she asked but shook her head. "No. I don't want to kill hm. I'm not a murderer. But, we could go find a new vampire and stake it." Angel wasn't a human-sucking monster. And those, plus the variations of evil demons, were all that she would kill. After all, it was the principle of the thing. Buffy had morals.

"A murderer?" Spike stared at the girl as if she had grown a second head at that comment. No, she was a slayer, which was just as good as a murderer, though she didn't kill innocent people. And Angel, well, he would hate to (oh, no he wouldn't) break it to her, but he was no innocent, good human. As far as bad vampires went, Angel had been one of the worst—the worst in some circles. And Spike, well he was right behind him. Of the top two, Spike ranked second, and while he wasn't going out of the way to admit that, it was because Angelus had this passion for torture and gained real pleasure from someone else's pain. Whereas Spike, on the other hand, could torture and did, gained his reputation more for the slayers he killed and the quick chaotic deaths he dished out. "No, you're the slayer, or did you forget? Vamps; they're kind of what you kill, pet. And Angel, no different than the rest of us, just a little broodier."
Spike didn't want to go out and kill other vampires. He didn't care if they were dusted or not, but he wasn't going to go out and do it himself, not unless a vampire wronged him enough to stick a piece of wood through its heart. "Yeah..." He drawled slowly. "I'm more interested in you helping me with my human problem." He reminded her, trying to get back on track with what he came there for. He didn't come to get caught up in a whirlwind of other things. No, he came to get a stupid girl off of his hands. Though, he would have no problem staking Angel. The odds of succeeding were just low. The two had tried to kill eachother too many times before and it never happened.

Buffy shook her head. "No, no, Angel's different. He has a soul." she insisted. "He's not like you." Well, wasn't that just insulting? Buffy sighed and crossed her legs. "What problem? Humans pretty much leave vampires alone if left alone themselves. My advice? Stop trying to eat her." Buffy really didn't see what could be so problematic about civilians. Generally speaking, they didn't go out looking for vampires. She had no idea that said human was hunting them.
Problems for Buffy didn't normally fall under the human category. She would have understood completely if there was some millennium-old vampire who was trying to kill him for failing to commit some grave act or whatever. But a human didn't even fall on the richer scale. Buffy had a feeling that Spike was wasting her time. But she had already invited him in, and she did promise to help. "I don't exactly do humans, Spike. It's kind of like a slayer code. Don't kill anything that has a pulse."

Spike scoffed at her when she said that Angel had a soul. "Yeah, but do you think all the pretty little damsels he's killed over his long, long life would care right now if he had a soul?" He asked, as if their opinion would matter. Of course, anyone that had been tortured and killed by Angelus probably wouldn't have any sympathy for him even if he had a soul. He was still a caged monster. A very controlled and caged monster, but the demon was still there and Spike wasn't buying that whole soul making him better crap. He was just being a self-righteous bastard. And a ridiculous one at that hanging around the slayer and actually dating one. He must have had some severe case of self-loathing. When Buffy told him how to stop the problem, he rolled his eyes. "If I could eat her, this wouldn't be an issue. I'd love to get her off my hands that way, but I can't. She's out hunting us, and she's got some thing with my girlfriend, so I can't touch her." He explained frustratedly.
"Angel doesn't have a pulse." Spike pointed out, since they had been talking about killing him before, he thought it was safe to remind her that he wasn't a human and that it was okay to go ahead and kill him. Though, he had a nagging suspicion that she wasn't going to be standing behind any kill Angel plots any time soon, even if he was more than willing to go out and kill that vampire. Any other, he had no interest in.

Buffy's eyes narrowed. A human was out hunting vampires? Oh, that was not smart. "Who is she? Giles needs to know about this." Stupid civilians was not exactly in Buffy's expertise. She handled humans who were casting spells and trying to kill others. As far as she could tell, this girl wasn't out to hurt anybody but the vampires. Although, that did put her as a danger to herself. Buffy was going to talk some sense into her before she got herself killed....or at least have Giles do it.
Her mind processed his comment about his girlfriend a few seconds late. She looked at him, confused,. "Wait. What do you mean she has a thing with your girlfriend?" Was the girl forming some kind of alliance with a vampire? That would definitely put her in Buffy's expertise. The slayer needed to know what she was doing so she could find out how to stop her.
She rolled her eyes at what he said about Angel. "Neither do you," she said with as much of an intimidating tone as she could muster. She was not going to kill her boyfriend! But if Spike didn't shut up and stop trying to convince her to, she would introduce him to Mr. Pointy. And maybe a few vials of holy water and a couple of crosses on his chest and stomach first. Of course, Giles might have something to say about torturing a vampire before she dusted him. She'd have to make sure she didn't get caught.

"Don't tell me it's Giles' door I should've gone knocking at," Spike didn't want to have to convince Rupert to give him a hand. That would never work. The Watcher would be quicker to shoot a crossbow through his heart than to hear a word he had to say. How he considered the slayer to be different, Spike didn't know for sure. But, she looked approachable enough. After all, she was dating a member of the fanged undead. It couldn't be that hard to get close without getting killed. "Her name's—" Damn it, what was her name? Miranda, Aranda... "Amanda, or something. Stupid kid with a stake, could've killed her myself if I wanted." This wasn't a matter that he couldn't handle with his fangs, it was just a matter of keeping his head intact if he killed her and Drusilla decided that it wasn't an appropriate behaviour. She could be very convincing and Spike hated to cross her. He hated upsetting her in general, but she was driving him up a wall this time around.
"It's some kind of... connection. Got some kind of bond between 'em. I don't think the bint knows what she's playin' with, but it's annoying as hell." The girl was playing with fire as far as Spike was concerned. Drusilla might have been a little addled, but he understood the woman. And she wasn't some kind, compassionate or even feeling creature. She loved as strong as Spike did, but when it came to humans they were on the food chain. He didn't think that she felt real sympathy for anyone. She didn't have a soul, but she hadn't shown the extent of how cruel she could be either. Spike knew it. He had been around it and loved it. He liked how horrible she could become, how nearly savage and twisted. She had such a darkness, and that tinge of a child in her that sucked Spike right in. He adored her, but this girl she liked... It was ridiculous and the girl herself was annoying with her stake wielding and commentary. She was going to get herself killed, Spike could see that. Slayers had short lifespans as it was, but girls pretending to be slayers, they had it even worse.
"Yeah?" He asked, his voice sounding challenging. "Why don't you come over here and do something 'bout it then?" He didn't want her to, because he wasn't looking for a fight. He was looking for help. But if she was going to bring that up, then he was just going to have to say it. He was aware that he didn't have a pulse, but he didn't make any exceptions for himself either. He just knew he was too strong to be easily taken out by a slayer.

"Amanda?" Buffy had heard the name before. Wasn't it at the Bronze? She was sure it was. She had met the girl for a brief moment, but hadn't paid too much attention. Now she wished she had. She couldn't even remember what the girl looked like. "No, I'll talk to Giles..." Her voice was distant as she tried to remember Amanda. She would have to talk to Giles and the scoobies about that one. Maybe one of them would recognize who she was.'
Why did she have a bond? For any soulless vampire to befriend a human was just odd. Buffy wanted to understand the friendship and the reason behind it before she went about convincing the girl that it was a faux. In the meantime, she would ask Angel to keep an eye on the girl. If she was hunting vampires, then he could make sure she didn't die. Perhaps she could ask Xander or Willow to hang out with her and try to figure out what she could have in common with a vampire. It would be easier than interrogating it out of her.
She heard his challenge and shook her head. "Look, I'll take care of it. But you have to do something for me." she decided. She figured it was fair enough. After all, he wouldn't do anything for nothing, she was sure. Why should she?

Spike assumed that any attempt in a discussion with Rupert would wind up with a Watcher out for blood. Or well, a dead one if he tried to fight the peroxide blonde. Frankly, Spike would much rather convince the slayer to help him. Although, he supposed that the slayer should be even harder to convince to do it. After all, the girl was supposed to kill and ask questions later. Instead, she managed to invite him in and have a little chat without either of them ending up dead. Now, eventually, he would finish her off. But, as long as she could help him, he wasn't in any rush. And as long as Drusilla didn't find out about this, he'd stay in one piece for the remainder of their stay in Sunnydale. Spike wasn't into envisioning what would happen if she knew where he was right at that moment.
Buffy saying she needed something from him left the vampire's head canting slightly to the side, giving her a curious look. "If it's making Peaches jealous, I'll have to pass, pet." He taunted her, although after she had left the bed, he had a feeling that wasn't the type of something that she was going to be asking for. Since she was doing him a favour, he might as well open himself up to see what wanted. What could it hurt?
