Elena nodded. "Ok, Be right back" she ran downstairs and into the office. She went right to where she had seen it earlier when she was cleaning, and wasted no time getting back. She got on her knees and started looking for his clasp. As she did, she decided she might as well get to know him. She looked up at him "are you from Malibu?" she asked before turning her attention back to the carpet.
Elena had never been able to visit Andre in LA. Any time she saw him, he always came to her. It was mostly because of her nephew Isaac. She always wondered what kind of people were there. She spent alot of time daydreaming, in between learning a million different languages and developing a love for politics. California fascinated her.

"Thanks," he said gratefully and continued his pretend search even while she was gone. Davey was committed to the search. When she came back with the magnifying glass, he smiled and continued to search while she spoke. "Inner city, actually. Stayed in Malibu a while though," he explained, though mostly because he jumped from bed to bed for a while and had stayed with Andre for more than one extended stint. "What about you? Been in Toronto this whole time?" He asked. He knew very little about her, because Andre didn't talk to him much about his sister. It was one of those subjects that he liked to avoid. There were a few of those when it came to Davey and female relatives were always one of them, even if it so happened that they were in prison and it wasn't like he was going to see them anyway.
He didn't mind getting to know her. In fact, he would like to. Although his main focus was physical, he wasn't trying to use and forget someone. He didn't mind making friends. The only thing he minded was getting tied down to someone else. That was his only problem. "I'm sorry I keep putting you out like this." He added after a moment, staying sweet, because nice guys tended to do better with naive girls.

Elena nodded "Since I was five" she answered as she found it. "Here it is." Standing up, she handed it to him. "Just got released on parole. You know, my cousin can fix that for you. He makes a living making jewelry and costumes for dinner theater." She casually worked in the fact about parole in the rest of her half of the conversation.
"Do you like lasagna?" she asked, tilting her head. Andrew didn't cook, and Andre was always working. It was going to be a nice surprise for her brother in law to come home to a nice meal. Not to mention, it was a good way to welcome company. And all Elena was trying to do was be a good hostess.

Davey stood as she found it. Gracing her with a quick smile, he took the clasp from her, his fingers lingering against her hand momentarily before he looked down at it. "Thanks, I would've been looking around for hours." He jested, eyes lifting back to meet hers again. His mind raced with ways to keep her there a little longer, at least long enough for him to succeed and then he'd be happy to help her in the kitchen. He'd be much more hungry then. He made eye contact with her, a little longer than usual and actually averted his gaze as if he was embarrassed that he held it that long. He wasn't, he was just playing around with sweet and shy and trying to match with her so that she didn't think of him as coming off too strong. After all, crushes could happen quick and that was what he'd play that off as. For some reason a lot of women liked to deny that lust wasn't such a bad thing. Why couldn't he have a physical attraction and act on it without it meaning the world?
"I love lasagna," he said, slipping the clasp and the bracelet into his pocket. "I'll see about talking to your cousin sometime then, but thanks. You're really helpful." He said, making sure to take things slow. He could have tried to make contact right there, but he figured that going a little bit slower was his best course of action.

Eye contact always made Elena feel a little funny. Usually, when someone made eye contact, she would look away or down. Especially when it was one of her parents or brothers. Even with Micah, keeping eye contact was not something she was good at. So why was it so easy now? As she gazed in his eyes, a small smile came up on her lips, and her head tilted. Was he shy? She probably should respect that. Instinctively, she looked down.
When he mentioned lasagna, she nodded. "Ok. Let me just get into some actual clothes" she teased as she opened the door to her room. She slipped inside and went to her dresser. She slipped off her tank top, wearing a sports bra underneath as she crouched down to find a shirt to cook in. She was so distracted that she left the door halfway open.

"All right, " he flashed another smile. Although, he didn't want her to get dressed, but instead the opposite. If he kept stopping her, however, she'd probably catch on. So, he had to be careful. There were times in the past where he screwed everything up by getting ahead of himself. He knew that his time was limited, but not limited enough to be sloppy. Because even if he failed his couple hour mark, there was still time later. And if he messed it up horribly going too fast then she probably would avoid him like the plague. So, he was going to be a little careful. Of course, when she went to her room, he couldn't help but notice the door was left half open. Catching sight of her, his eyes travelled down her body. He swallowed, his mouth suddenly feeling a little dry. He wanted to go in there and go for it, but that wouldn't work... At all.
So, he pulled his eyes away and since she was turned around, he slowly grabbed the doorknob and pulled the door further towards the door jam giving it the illusion of being shut. She didn't look like she noticed it was open to begin with. He didn't shut it all the way, however, because that'd make noise and he didn't want her to see it shut. What he was about to do could ruin it for him, not to mention, he had a feeling it wasn't going to feel entirely pleasant. He looked at the door, turned around and then leaned up against it casually, as if he thought it was closed too. Only, when he did, it swung open forcing him to fall backwards into the room and onto the ground. It wasn't a fake fall either. He let gravity take over and thudded to the floor with a yelp and a curse. Rolling onto his stomach, he rubbed his head and slowly lifted his eyes, widening them in shock. "Oh god! I'm—I'm sorry!" He quickly scrambled to get to his feet, turning himself around as if mortified. "Oh god... You're going to think I'm some kind of perv... I'm sorry, I am..." He said, sounding a bit panicky.

The twenty-three year old had slipped out of her shorts and gotten out a shirt and pants and set them on her bed. Elena jumped, startled, when suddenly he was on the floor. Instantly, she got on her knees to help him. "It's ok! Accidents happen" she said with a giggle. Yeah, right, accidents. The girl couldn't tell that he was doing this on purpose, or maybe she was choosing not to.
Once he was on his feet, she put a hand on his cheek. "Are you okay? Do you need me to find Andrew's first aid kit?" Her thoughts of the fact that she was in her underwear completely left her mind. If Andre were there, things would have been different. Andre seemed to be the source of Elena's common sense. Without her big brother, the girl was blind.

It took a lot of control not to be letting his eyes wander over her frame when she approached him. Embarrassedly, he lowered his eyes when she touched his cheek but quickly pulled them back to her eyes again and gave her a modest smile. "I'm all right, unless the first aid kit fixes embarrassment, I think I'll be okay." For having just met her, Davey was impressed with himself. It wasn't record breaking or anything. He was fully aware that if Andre was at home that this wouldn't be happening. He would have been completely adamant about Davey keeping his hands off of his sister. It was hard to pull one over on him too, especially given how well they knew each other. But, he had time before Andre showed up. Days, even. And as far as Andrew was concerned, well, he wasn't going to let him in on what he was doing either.
"Sorry, this must be the worst first impression I've ever made." He admitted. And really, it might be for someone that was being genuine about it. Davey wasn't really embarrassed, although he did look it. Everything he did was intentional. Although, he had had some pretty bad meetings with people before. Who didn't give off a bad impression now and again? And Davey, well, Davey was one of those people that didn't make friends too quickly unless he was intentionally trying to. He could come off a bit brash.

Elena smiled into his eyes. She was completely falling for the trap he had set up for her. "Don't beat yourself up over it. It's fine, really. It can happen to anyone. It's my fault; I should have locked the door. I'm very sorry." Elena had a habit of accepting blame. It started five years ago and only got worse over time. This time around, she did it to make him feel better.
"Look on the bright side. At least nobody else is here to know about it. We're all alone." Elena thought it would be more embarrassing if Andrew and Andre and the girls were home. Her naive mind didn't consider that it wouldn't have happened if everyone was there. She thought it was truly an accident. "It'll be our secret"

For as long as Davey had been interested in women to the extent of seduction on a mass basis, he recognized the way someone might respond to him. He learned how to read people quickly and while it was a handy skill not only in his mission to get laid, but it kept him out of too much trouble, or gave him insight into people's weaknesses. Someone women were into the blunt route. He could walk up to them, saying things that would make a sailor blush and would have them in no time. Other girls would get offended. They would slap him or pull away fast, realizing what type of person he was. He thought it was unfair to judge him based on his art. After all, he was never actually hurting anyone. Some people thought it was sleazy, but in honesty, he was just doing what a lot of people were too afraid to do. He chocked it up to jealousy when someone played moral mind trips on him. There was nothing immoral about what he did. As far as married women were concerned, that wasn't immoral from his standpoint. It was them that had to answer to their husbands. He wasn't doing anything wrong.
Why people believed so strongly in monogamy was beyond him. Over time, people started to develop different needs. One person would never be enough. It was just impossible. "It's not, I'm clumsy, I guess." He replied with a shrug of his shoulders. When she said it was their secret, he grinned a little more and gently placed a hesitant hand to her cheek. "You're too sweet, you know that?" He asked kindly, then after making eye contact, he retracted slightly. "I'm sorry, am I making you uncomfortable? I don't mean to." He said, as if he feared he was overstepping boundaries.

Elena blushed when he touched her hand. She hated herself for it. By now, she could see that he was flirting, but it was too late. He was so sweet and, really, how bad could he be? He was one of Andre's friends! Definitely a huge improvement from Micah. Elena blushed deeper when she realized how she was thinking. Five minutes ago, she wanted nothing to do with men.
He pulled away, and she wished he hadn't. But she found out the reason was because of her. He was asking if he made her uncomfortable. Elena had to do something to show him that he was fine. Stepping forward, she set her hand on his arm and smiled into his eyes. "Not at all," she was trying to be flirty. She had no idea if she was coming across as flirty or not, since she had never really flirted before. She felt awkward.

If Davey had a victory dance, now would be the time to use it (okay, figurative victory dance). Once she started coming back to him, that was basically it. It meant that he had made progress that would be hard to turn back. He would have to really try to screw it up now. When she stepped over to him and touched his arm, he smiled at her. "Really?" He asked, and decided to step in a little closer, although paused enough to make it look like he was weighing out his decision. He wanted to make it look like he was nervous himself and a little unsure of whether flirting was the right course of action. He knew it was, but he was playing a role. "So, you wouldn't mind if I told you that I love your smile?" He asked, and he actually did. It suited her well. See, Davey's compliments weren't always false. He tended to sugar people up a little, but he usually meant a great deal of them. And Elena happened to have a gorgeous smile. So, why not tell her it? He wasn't attracted to her for nothing. And he had nothing against her. He never understood why women got offended by men that wanted to sleep with them. It was actually a compliment.

Could she smile any bigger or blush any deeper? Elena hadn't thought it possible. And then came the compliment. Her haad bowed shyly as her cheeks went even redder. She giggled and shook her head. She was acting like a little girl with a crush. She knew it, and her intellect told her to stop it. But her body didn't seem to be listening.
"N-no, of course not. I-I mean, it's your objective opinion" She sounded like the old, intelligent. multilingual Elena. Except the old Elena never stuttered. Well, not until Micah, anyways. Flirty guys seemed to have that affect on her. It was something that she had not yet learned to deal with. So, while she was stuttering her response out, she looked down at the floor and didn't meet his eyes.

"Good, 'cause I do," Davey replied, watching as her eyes went to the floor. The stuttering and shy act was cute to him. It was what he expected, because, frankly, she was acting so naive before that he figured she'd be shy. It had him questioning exactly how many relationships she had had, if any. He knew she was a lot younger than he was, but that didn't bother him even in the slightest bit. But, he doubted she was very experienced. Gently, he touched her chin to lead her gaze back to his. "Hey, are you sure this is okay? I'd hate to make you uncomfortable." His voice was soft and filled with concern. It was real too. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable, but he doubted that he was. When he really was putting someone in a lot of discomfort, he knew how to back off. Davey was good at getting someone to fall for him, but it didn't mean he applied any extra pressure that they couldn't avoid. He never forced anyone to be with him. He used words and touching, but if anyone wanted to move away from him with force and speed, he wouldn't chase. Davey knew better.

Elena's eyes raised and looked in his. She bit her lip and shook her head. "No discomfort here." She spoke honestly, even though it was surprising to her. She considered telling him about Micah. Perhaps knowing what happened would explain her shyness. But she didn't know the man. She had no idea if there was any real reason for sharing information about her past. He kept asking, so she decided to show him that there was no discomfort. Taking another step closer, she gave him a small kiss on the lips nefore pulling away. "See?"
