"Oh, come on! That was completely illegal!" The sounds of approval and disapproval filled the general area at the counter of the bar, all participants glancing at an old colour TV propped up on the wall. The bar was pretty full tonight, but it was big enough for the occupancy. Andre put his bottle down with a slight thud, shaking his head as the man next to him went on about how the move was perfectly fine. Yeah, only because it helped the team he was cheering for. Andre scoffed, "It was not." With hockey, came arguments. It was natural, and if it didn't, then it wouldn't be hockey anymore. Their disagreement settled, of course, because the game wasn't going to stop for them to settle it really. He looked back at the screen, downing another portion of the amber liquid in the bottle. It was only his second one, so he wasn't near getting himself wasted. That wasn't his intent for the night either. He planned on relaxing. It was something he didn't get enough of and honestly, he couldn't remember the last time he really had down time like that. Since he chose to be the first to go to Toronto, he had to give up the job at the precinct he worked for first and he'd yet to start there. He would be back to his old work habits soon, but why not make the most of it?
Andre was a bit of a work-a-holic, but he had to be. The career he chose wasn't the type he could slack on or expect normal work hours for. But, he'd never give it up. Besides, once you start working homicide, there really isn't any going back. He couldn't even see himself in another job. Besides, who wanted to read "well, I looked at dead bodies for seven years," on the resume. So, maybe he wouldn't actually put that on there, but it felt like the dead defined his life sometimes. He spent so much time with them, but that was the nature of the job. He hadn't yet gotten out with anyone that he knew in Toronto. Although, there were quite a few people he was acquainted to. He used to live there, after all, and he still visited semi-regularly to see Marco and his family. And in doing so, it wasn't rare to come across his friends. For the most part, he was a pretty easy-going guy, not difficult to get along with unless you crossed him or were one of those special few that annoyed him without even opening their mouths. He figured he'd get around to it eventually. Though, sitting there, he kind of wished he had hit some of them up. It'd be more entertaining.

Paris and Kate. The two women didn't exactly get along. It was odd how a mutual love for the same man could cause so much hatred between them. Paris refused to believe what Drake was doing to Kate, so when he was killed, she blamed Kate. How could she forgive her for killing her older brother?
When Paris spotted Kate, she glared and went to the edge of the bar. She ordered a beer and looked over at the other woman. "Murderer," she muttered. Drake had everything going for him. He was the Chief of Police and everything. Kate had to just take all that away.
Kate hadn't even seen Paris. She grabbed a stool near hers, sitting down to ask for a Tequila. With only an empty chair between then, though, it was inevitable to hear her and looking at Paris, Kate hissed out a "bitch!" The name caused Paris to stand up and Kate stood, getting in her face. Both women were ready to fight.
Bar fights happened all the time, but the young 33 year old man didn't understand them. Especially between two hot women. Anrtonio decided to break them up by being Caseenova. Walking past his older cousin, Antonio got between them and reached out and wraooed an arm around each female. "Ciao, Bellas" he spoke in his thick italian accent.
Paris melted at the sound of the accent. Kate, on the other hand, was skeptical. "What's an italian doing in a bar in Canada?" she asked. Paris scoffed, "who cares?" Antonio couldn't tell them he was a puppet-maker. That usually induced laughter. Grabbing a beer, he drank it and looked at the women.
"I'm on a top-secret mission...from the Mafia." Thank God for the Godfather movies. Kate, liking the idea of danger, jst ate it up. He had both women swooning now. What could be more perfect?

"I'm on a top-secret mission...from the Mafia."
It wasn't the near cat fight, or anything else that grabbed Andre's attention. It was that one sentence by a familiar Italian accented voice that triggered him to look in their direction. Noticing his cousin was a surprise, but noticing him with his arm around two women only warranted him to laugh, choking on his drink. What the hell was he doing? Well, it was actually pretty obvious and humorous because the women were actually going for it. There was something about Italian men that just had it so easy in both Canada and the States. Andre didn't understand it, only because most of his family was Italian and he was used to the accented voice, and it was one that he could never master without looking like a goof. Hearing it enough made it easy, but it didn't fit. He couldn't imagine why. Clearing his throat, he put his own beer down on the counter (it was almost gone anyway) and stood up. Now, he could have just sat there and watched it play out, but he had to give his cousin a hard time.
Instead of heading over straight-on, he walked around to the side of them, coming up from behind his cousin. "Really? They hire you on to build puppets? Amazing, man." He patted him on the shoulder, a grin plastered on his face already. If anyone thought he could pass that up they would be completely wrong. Now, he wasn't intentionally trying to ruin his chances of picking up a woman in the bar... Okay, so maybe he was, but playfully. And he really figured he'd be able to grab someone if he wanted. It had been a while since he saw him. Andre recognized the other two women too. He'd seen them before, but he didn't address them just yet. Instead, that was the only thing he said. His announcement was good enough.

And then there was that voice. Antonio recognized Andre's voice instantly, and looked over his shoulder with a glare. He hated it when his family did that! Lorenzo was the worst about messing with him. He looked back at the women and pouted. Paris had pulled away and was giggling at his occupation.
"You build puppets?" she asked as she started laughing harder, Antonio looked back at his cousin, "Grazi," he said sarcastically. It was all his fault! He had them right where he wanted, Why did Andre have to open his big mouth?
Kate had pulled away too, but for a different reason. Kate adored Marco, and she remembered meeting Andre on a few different occasions. As she looked over to see who was speaking, she recognized him instantly. "Andre!" Her exclamation was coupled with a big hug, as she rushed around Antonio and Paris to embrace him.

The reaction of one of the women was hilarious and Andre couldn't help but flash his cousin a huge grin. Oh, he made it too easy! He couldn't be blamed for what he did. If Antonio didn't make it easy, then he wouldn't be able to jump in with his exclamation. As he thanked him, he chuckled. "Anytime." He replied, recognizing the sarcasm with amusement. "I'm just trying to help, I figure they should appreciate your workmanship." He explained in a mock sincere tone. He was giving him a hard time, but then glanced to Paris, "He's really something else, this one." The brunette assured her, still heavily amused with the situation. When he noticed Kate more fully though, he didn't know his grin could get any better. He recognized her absolutely. He had met her a couple of times, and each one was pretty memorable. She was the type of person that was difficult to forget, even if you tried (not that he did).
"Kate!" He returned the exclamation and hugged her back, squeezing her close for a long moment before letting her go. It was good to see a familiar face, especially someone he liked. "Look at you, I was hoping I'd get a chance to see you." Of course, he would have plenty of chances to see her now that he was going to be staying for good. But, the sooner the better. Of course, he couldn't help but put away the information that she was falling for his cousin like that. He couldn't let her live that down either. All in good fun, of course.

"I'm sure," Paris said sarcastically. She was slightly snobby but felt like she had the right to be. After all, she was a professional ice skater. She worked hard. And Antonio? He apparently made toys. She shook her head at Antonio before eyeing Andre. "Andre, is it? I'm Paris." She flirted with him, batting her eyes.
Antonio folded his arms, watching the women now gush over Andre. He couldn't help but be disappointed. Looking at Paris, he decided to set her straight before Andre had a chance to. "He's married," he informed her. He looked at her for a moment before adding, "and gay"
When had it been the last time Kate had seen Andre? It was when she and Drake were together, long before he died. Kate couldn't remember how her husband behaved at the picnic they had attended. So much of what he did was blocked from her memory. She brushed thoughts of Drake aside when Andre broke the hug. "I can't believe you're back! How long are you in town for?"

The flirting was easy to pick up on and while it was always flattering, he wasn't interested or available to be interested. Before he could say a word though, Antonio jumped in. Oh, he should have expected that one. Chuckling, "Yeah?" He asked, glancing over to his cousin. "At least I don't make puppets." Okay, so nothing he said was actually insulting, but he didn't think that making puppets was insulting either. Although, sometimes he couldn't help but make Pinnochio references. He never meant anything mean by it, to be honest. And apparently, for about thirty seconds, he forgot that he wasn't ten anymore and that his comment was probably far too immature for his age. But, did he care? Not really. He was in the mood to have fun and Andre had a personality that made it easy to tease and poke fun at. It wasn't constant, just every once in a while.
It had been a while since he saw her, and Andre really had no idea what had been going on with her since they last talked. Sure, he talked to Marco, but he didn't give him a play by play of everyone's life. If Andre wanted it, he probably could have gotten one, but he never felt the need to go that far. "For good, we're moving back." He told her with a grin. "How've things been? How's everyone?" He asked, knowing she had a family of her own. He'd met her husband before, but couldn't say he liked the man. He had acted fine around him and Andre had spared a few words with him. He knew he was a cop, but he also knew he gave him one of those odd vibes. It wasn't a scientific reason for disliking someone, but Andre was good at reading people and that guy... There was just something off. He never mentioned it however, never even showed it.

Ben needed a Megan break. He was ready to pack her stuff up and ship her off to a cloister. With the way she had been dressing, and the way she was acting, sending her to a nun's habit sounded like a really good idea. He had gone to Mike's Sports Bar, Jonathan at his side. He spotted Kate first, and smiled. And then he saw Andre. Ben noticeably winced. He did not like the guy; never had, and he never would. The two had been rivals since the day he met. Taking his boyfriend's hand, he made his way over to the group "Well, well, well, look who's back in town," he taunted.
"e heh heh heh," Antonio gave a fake laugh before muttering, "lo scatto grande, stupido" All of his cousins were big jerks. Except Marco. He liked him. He really liked Aidan. He was one cool kid. Before he could say much else, though, he heard the voice of Marco's husband. He did not like Ben, and if he wasn't so afraid of him, he would do something about him hurting Marco. But he was very afraid of him. He was scary! Antonio glared when he saw that Ben was joining them. When he saw Jonathan though, he clenched his fist. Even a dork like him knew not to like Jonathan. He was the very man who stole Ben away from Marco. While he never really liked them together, Marco was only happy when he was with Ben. That was all that really mattered.
Kate's smile faded. How was everyone? Dead, for the most part. The two most important guys in her life had died; first her husband and then her son. But death in the family was not exactly a happy subject. Thankfully, she didn't have time to answer him before she heard Ben's voice. Kate's head turned when Ben addressed them. She eyed The couple. She had heard that Ben cheated on Marco and was now living with the man. She had just never met him. Arms folded, she nodded. "Ben," she stated simply.
Jonathan looked around. He felt like he could cut the air with a knife. He looked at Ben then over at the woman. "Hi, I'm Jonathan," he held his hand out for her to shake. He might as well be charming and friendly; after all, he planned to marry Ben. He just had to convince Ben of that.
Kate stepped closer to Andre. She had no desire or intention of shaking the man's hand. "I don't care," she said rather rudely. She did not see the point in being nice. She was on Marco's side, not Ben's. Marco was the best guy any girl could ask for. Every girl should have a gay guy, Kate decided a long time ago. Seeing Jonathan now, she changed her opinion. Every girl needed a Marco. There was nothing about Jonathan that she liked. Of course, she had barely met the guy and she was very biased against him. Still, she couldn't stand him already.
The silence was interrupted by a celebrity. Craig had gone in the bar, greeted by people he didn't even know. Flashing his famous smile, he looked around for a pretty woman. He was on the prowl, but then again, when was he not? As soon as he saw Paris, he smiled and walked over. "Where have you been hiding this one, Ben? She looks like she walked out of a fairy tale!" he said, taking Paris's hand. "What's your name, beautiful?" he asked, kissing her hand.
Paris had been standing and watching silently. She didn't even know Ben, or Jonathan. She didn't know what was going on, or why Antonio and Kate were suddenly irritated. When she heard Craig's voice, she looked over and smiled. Of course, she knew who he was; he was Craig Manning! As he kissed her hand, she looked down and blushed. "Paris," she said sweetly. She felt like she was going to faint.
Craig pulled her closer and slid his arm around her shoulders. Paris looked up in his eyes and melted in his arms. With a smirk, Craig looked to the bartender. "Drinks for the house" he said, giving Paris a wink. It was then that he noticed Kate, Antonio and Andre. "Hey guys" Guys. Once upon a time, Craig couldn't take his eyes off of Kate if he was around her. Now, she was just grouped with guys. Not that Kate cared. She had someone else in mind, and it was not the Rockstar Man-Whore.

The moment Andre heard Ben's voice, he had to refrain from rolling his eyes. It was that reaction he had to him every time that he saw the man. That had never changed either, no matter how long he knew the man, he still annoyed him. He never liked him, and while he was fully aware of the downfall of Marco and Ben's relationship, he wasn't supposed to talk about it. He was trying to honour what Marco wanted, despite knowing exactly how hurt he was. Marco had told him when it happened; called him, told him and abruptly informed him not to say anything else. Andre always had an insult for Ben, and something to say about him, so when he heard what he did, it was only natural that he might have even more to say in defence of years of rivalry. And his cousin didn't want to hear it. Not that he blamed him. In fact, he got it, and kept his mouth shut on the matter. He ignored Ben momentarily, just to look at his cousin with a smirk. "Ti Amo, cousin." He smirked, patting his own chest above his heart before chuckling. He was too amused, especially with his muttering. Back to Ben, he looked over at him and then at the man at his side. "Well, look what the—" He looked over Jonathan momentarily, as if assessing what he was before continuing, putting a questioning emphasis on his noun choice "Dog—dragged in." He finished, flashing an almost smug smirk at Ben. How was he supposed to get out of making a shot at his new boyfriend. No one seemed to like him, but it was understandable. The people here would side with Marco, Andre knew that.
"Hey, Benny. It's been a while, still being a good lawyer, I see." Again, it was a jibe. Andre didn't have a lot of respect for lawyers, he just didn't. And, it was both a jab at his profession and the fact that he cheated and went for another guy. Because, calling a lawyer a cheater and a liar just went together. His tone was friendly, however, despite the things he was saying, it never dropped to a rude tone, and if it weren't for the actual words he was saying it'd be difficult to tell that he wasn't exactly being nice. He sounded like he was talking to an old friend. Because of Kate's response to Jonathan, Andre draped an arm over her shoulder and pulled her close to his own side before reaching out to shake the man's hand, himself. It was polite, although he saw no reason to be polite to him. If anything, it was his silent promise not to punch him in the face and he might as well initiate that.
The bar was getting more and more full by the second, and the entrance of a celebrity left Andre shaking his head. He knew Craig. It was impossible not to. He didn't say anything as he flirted with the girl. Oh, he had that in the bag, and the dark haired man glanced over at his cousin and gave him a semi-apologetic look before turning his eyes on Craig when he greeted them. "Hey," he greeted with a nod.

Jonathan blinked back surprise at being called a dog. He had never even seen Andre before. He shook his hand, dumbfoundedly. "And you are?" he inquired. He wanted to know who the jackass was that was making personal remarks. As someone who worked for the navy, he felt that he was entitled to some respect.
Kate's eyes narrowed in on Jonathan and she glared coldly. He didn't need to know who Andre was! That was her gay guy! Well, not officially, but she knew he wouldn't mind! "He's Marco's cousin. I'm sure you heard of him, right? He's Ben's husband. And what exactly do you do? I mean, aside from being a hustler" she hissed, calling him a prostitute. She didn't care what anyone said. If she had to be around him, she was not going to be nice in the least bit.
Ben chuckled. "The best," he said with a grin when Andre called him a good lawyer. "What are you doing here? No, wait. Let me guess. The gadget-mobile stopped working so you decided to try the parenting thing again. Gee, that's honorable. You know what they say; if at first you don't succeed, try, try again" His tone was friendly as well. It was just that his words were not so nice.
Antonio folded his arms. His english wasn't perfect, but he understood what was being said. If only he wasn't so small and could get beat to a pulp if he punched Ben like he wanted to. If his brothers were there, they could do it. After all, Ben would be outnumbered four to one. Even if Jonathan helped him out, that made it four to two. Liking the idea of ganging up on him, he walked over to the other side of Andre from where Kate stood and tapped his shoulder. Dico che chiamiamo Lorenzo e Dominic ed insegniamo questi bastardi una lezione" He said this in his toughest voice as he tried to take an intimidating stance. Nobody messed with his family! He would PROVE that he was from the Mafia. Ok, so he wasn't. But he had seen enough movies to act like it!
Craig pulled Paris closer to him as he watched the men. "Guys!" he said, grabbing a beer and holding it out for Jonathan. "We're all friends here. Let's drink and have a good time." Were they really friends? Craig had no clue. But he had one goal tonight, and that was to drink and sleep with someone. Ok, so that was two goals. But hey, who was counting?
Paris hung on Craig like an ornament on a Christmas tree. She didn't mind being his girl for the night at all. It was Craig Manning, what more could she wish for? "Spoken like a true artist," she cooed, taking a beer and drinking it. Not once did she ever take her eyes off of Craig. She couldn't; he was like a god!

Andre was surprised at Kate's outburst, but not at all opposed to it. Instead he glanced to her and back to Jonathan, shrugging. "That just about sums me up. But, I like Andre. It's shorter." He didn't have any respect for him and didn't plan to gain any. He wasn't looking to get into a full blown fight either though. Andre had mastered the banter without going into fight mode. Though, he was pretty confident that he could take him if he wanted. He had sized him up almost instantly, and by more than just habit. Andre had a tendency to start assessing someone right away, just because he was used to having to do it professionally, but because he was the guy that had ruined his cousin's marriage, he was looking into him extra hard. It was Ben's comment that, if he hadn't been so amused with who it was coming from, would have left him glaring. Instead, he laughed, outright laughed. "Did you hear that, Kate?" He asked, nudging her a little with his shoulder. "I just got advice from father of the year here, I'm impressed." He looked back at Ben, chuckling. "It's nice to know someone who keeps his kids so well under control is behind me." There was sarcasm laced in there, because as far as he was concerned, Ben wasn't the best parent.
Unlike Antonio, Andre wasn't looking to fight like that and he definitely wasn't looking to grab his cousins and team up against the man. It would be easy to do, but he was sure not only would they get in trouble but Marco would be pretty pissed for it happening on his behalf. He was always so... anti-violence. Though, Andre had faith in his little cousin that if he was there, he would get angry enough to punch one of the members of the happy couple. "No, non è valsa la pena. Inoltre, non sto cercando di essere messi fuori per la crudeltà sugli animali." He commented, snarky as hell, but figured only Antonio was going to understand him.
They weren't all friends there, so Craig was giving an odd look from the man. "Hey, I'm all for drinking..." He stopped, however and raised his eyebrows at the woman and then looked back at Craig questioningly. Spoken like a true artist? Could she have melted any further? Craig must be soaking it up though, he figured it'd be easy to do.

Johnathan looked at Kate with a disgusted scoff. "I am a Captain in the Navy" he informed her with a haughty tone. "And you, I believe you're a mechanic, right? Well, whatever you can get, right?" He snorted. He couldn't help but be condescending. The woman was a wench.
Kate's jaw dropped at Jonathan's comment. "Oh, I don't know. I think I'd rather be getting my hands dirty and fixing up cars rather than shouting orders. I bet you can cause a real headache. In fact, I feel one coming on now." She advanced as she said this. She was ready to punch the condescending jackass.
Ben chuckled. "Well, I'm proud of all ten of my children. They're not overly sensitive. Speaking of cry-babies, how is the Malibu Beach Bimbo Barbie?" he smiled pleasantly as he made fun of Natasha. In his opinion, kids should learn to be tougher. Natasha had a tendency to cry over everything.
Antonio laughed at his cousin's remark. And then Ben just kept on going. He needed to keep his temper in check. Walking over to the bar, he took a beer. "Grazi" he said and opened it. Leaning against the counter, he watched the two battles going between Kate and Jonathan and Ben and Andre. Personally, he was cheering for Kate and Andre.
Craig flashed a grin at Andre when he looked at him questioningly and handed him a beer. He took another drink and looked down at the redhead in his arms, "You like mixed drinks?" he asked with a smile. He was thinking about moving the party to the hotel. How else was he going to get Paris into bed?
Paris rubbed his chest and smiled from ear to ear. "I love mixed drinks," she gushed. She would follow Craig to the ends of the earth! At that statement, Craig nodded and cleared his throat."I hate to break up the little love-fest we got going on, but there's better stuff than this back at the hotel. I have a private bar. Anybody in?" It was his halfway attempt to stop the fighting. He wanted to add don't make me call Marco, but he didn't think it would be appropriate.

Andre's respect seemed to lower further when the man said he was a captain in the navy. He looked like he had some great big sense of entitlement that was unnecessary of any military man. They should be respected, sure, Andre had been enlisted in the Marines before becoming a cop; they put him through training and gave him the necessary essentials when he'd decided to switch out of college to pursue something else. His student loans had been too high and the military was the best course of action. He didn't regret it, but he wasn't going to let some Naval Officer treat Kate that way. "That so? And do you treat the Naval mechanics with that much disrespect? Or do you just like taking it out on civilians?" He asked, with an absolute curious tone. Oh, he was already under his skin. It wasn't as if he was anything more than a civilian himself right now. He was out of uniform. Andre might have been an ex-marine, but he knew how things went. And he could throw all kinds of jokes at the Navy man if he wanted. Although he had the utmost respect for the guys in the Navy, it wasn't uncommon for one branch to tease the other. There were some pretty amusing ones, as far as he was concerned.
Ben distracted him again, this time warranting a glare before he lightened up. "Congratulations Ben, you insulted a seventeen year old girl. I don't talk about your kids, don't you dare talk about mine." Andre might have insulted his parenting, but he didn't outright insult the kids themselves. He wouldn't go that far. First, he didn't dislike the kids, they were Marco's too, and part of his family. He didn't know all ten very well and while he heard some awful stories and didn't want them necessarily influencing his daughter, he would put the blame on Ben for that. He wasn't controlling them or he was doing it wrong. They were just kids. It wasn't their fault. Personally, he didn't teach his kids to be rocks. They were humans and if they were emotional, then they could be that. He wouldn't take that away from them. As long as they were safe and happy, they were fine.
Glancing at Craig, he couldn't help but smile at his attempt. He didn't know if he really wanted to go anywhere, but figured it couldn't hurt and shrugged. "Why not? We're all friends here." He said, purposely emphasizing the word when he looked at Ben and his boyfriend. Looking to Kate, however, he smiled genuinely. "What do you say?"

Jonathan ignored Andre's comment. He didn't feel bad at all for making comments to her. After all, she called him a hooker. Jonathan knew plenty about Kate from what Ben had said. "That's nice. You kill your husband and now you're looking to replace him with a gay man." His voice went cold and dark when he said this. It was the tone he got when he was intimidating one of Ben's little brats. Of course, Ben had no idea what was going on when he wasn't there.
Kate had looked to Andre and smiled back. Leaving with him sounded wonderful right now. When she heard Jonathan talk about Drake, though, she lost it. He was a lucky man that he hadn't done anything to make her feel threatened. Chris would have taken over and killed the Navy Man. Instead, she grabbed a nearby beer bottle and threw it at him. Watching him duck, she jumped at him and knocked him down, getting on top of him and punching his face.
Ben's eyes widened "Kate!" he said and grabbed hold of her arm. Attacking Jonathan was only going to land her in jail. Ben did care about Kate that much. "Stop it!" he growled. pulling her off of his boyfriend. As soon as he did, though, she pushed him.
"I guess you told him everything, didn't you?!" She hissed and pushed him again, tears brimming in her eyes. "Take your Military Pig and leave! And next time you start to tell a complete stranger my business, just remember this. All I have to do is go back to Tennessee and I can get away with whatever crimes I commit against you." Kate had made a scene, and she realized that now. Looking up at Craig, she swallowed. "Can we go now?"
Jonathan fell back and felt the punches. He glared but didn't have enough time to strike back when Kate was pulled off by Ben. He stood, raising his hand to her, even though her back was turned to him. He didn't care what it looked like, he was ready to slap her. Stupid bitch.
Antonio had laughed when she lunged at Jonathan. He thought it was amusing. But Kate looked far from amused. Antonio chewed on hi lip, trying to think of something to cheer her up with. Smiling, he said "Come with me, Bella. I show you puppet that make you smile. Genuine marionette, come from Venice." His puppets might have gotten mocked earlier, but he thought they could possibly save the day now.
Craig could see the attack coming from a mile away. He stood there, giving Ben a disapproving look. How could he tell Jonathan about Drake? And it didn't even look like he told him the whole story. Kate didn't just murder her husband. Drake abused her for years, and when she finally left him, he tried to strangle her. Everything Kate had done was in self-defense. When she asked if they could go, he nodded. "Yeah. My Limo's about a block away. Big enough for five, including myself." Technically, his Limousine could hold more. But that was Craig's way of telling Ben that he and his stupid jackass boyfriend were not welcome. When he saw Jonathan act like he was going to hit Kate, he pointed a finger to him. "Don't even think about it."
Paris had watched, wide-eyed. So now Drake was the subject of lover's gossip? Stunned, Paris was inwardly applauding Kate for attacking him. The man scared her, otherwise she would be helping her. But there was something about him,. She got weird abusivy vibes from him. So instead, she clung to Craig and watched from a distance.

Kate's husband was dead? Andre looked at Kate questioningly and apologetically all at once. Not only that, but she killed him. If she was out and everyone knew, then odds were this wasn't some cold-blooded murder. Plus, it was Kate! He couldn't see her killing anyone out of sheer pleasure. Andre dealt with murderers constantly, and he'd met some pretty damn surprising ones, but not Kate... Besides, he remembered the vibes Drake gave off, and if anything, he figured he was as bad of a guy as he gave off. If that was so, it was probably justified. He wasn't going to ask right then, and maybe he wouldn't at all. He didn't want to press into something that wasn't his business and more than that, he refused to make her uncomfortable. Jonathan, however, was out of line. "Kate..." He began worriedly, but it was too late. She had already attacked. Andre didn't have the time to pull her off before Ben did. She was going to get herself into trouble. He didn't blame her, but they couldn't be attacking the man in the bar like that.
Everything was happening relatively fast and when Andre knew that Kate was safe, his dark eyes turned on Jonathan. If he thought he could be intimidating, so could he. He went farther than Craig's warning. He was going to hit her! At least, he appeared to be. All of that casual, laid-back appearance was gone in an instant. Andre's posture was taller, his eyes colder and more serious than they had been before. He was good at putting on the intimidating show, but not only was he good at the appearance, but he could deliver. He never touched Jonathan, but stepped in uncomfortably close. "You even think of touching her, looking at her or even speaking to her again, I'll take your ass your ass out, hear me sailor boy? And I mean out gone for good, no one will ever find you or suspect me for a god damned thing." His voice was low enough that only Jonathan should be able to hear him. There was no doubt he was threatening him though, his body language said it alone.
Then, pulling away, he looked at Ben. "I don't give a damn about what happened with you and Marco." Lie, convincing, but a lie. And it wasn't the important thing here. He didn't think of him less because of it, his opinion wasn't high to begin with. But what he saw just now worsened it. "Splitting up is one thing, and hey you can let that bastard walk on you all you want. But, maybe you should think about it before you let him walk on your friend. You know, if you aren't too whipped." The only time he got physical at all was right there, using two fingers to push against Ben's chest before stepping back to Craig and Kate and the rest of the them.
