Hannah had gone to school, only to end up panicking when Mr. Peakes put his hands on her. Coming to school had been a mistake, especially only a week after what happened. She knew her dad would understand if she had gone home, but she didn't. Instead, she tried to muddle through, but by lunch, she had three panic attacks. and even Matt was reacted with a scream when he tapped his sister. Jason, Miranda, Matt, Megan, and Hayleigh had no clue what she had been through. Only those who lived with Marco did, and Chance, because he had saved her life. But Hannah had refused to let Ben and the others know. She didn't want to seem weak.
But when she had gotten her lunch and barely seemed like she was all there, Matt had been concerned. Something just seemed different about his older sister. He had gone up to her and tapped her, only to have her scream and freak out. It was in the center of the cafeteria, and everyone who saw it laughed. Except for, of course, Matt. He tried to follow her when she dropped her lunch and ran out, but couldn't keep up.
Hannah had run down the halls and didn't stop until she was on the roof. She paced back and forth before seeing a shard of glass on the ground. Swallowing, the teenager grabbed it and pushed up on her sleeves. The scars from being cut by her attacker were still there, and Hannah brushed her fingers against them before looking at her barren arm. She pressed the glass against it, hoping for the release she was dependent on.

Something seemed off with Hannah. She didn't seem like her usual self. That much was obvious to Megan. And even to hayleigh. But what had happened? Why was their older sister acting this way? It just didn't seem to make any sense. But did anything lately make any sense? Not really.
With a sigh, Megan walked down the halls with her baby sister, Hayleigh, just talking. Both of them had heard a distant scream coming from the caf, but neither one thought twice about it. Megan looked back to her sister. "Do you have any idea what's up with Hannah? She doesn't seem like herself."
Hayleigh shrugged. "Like she would tell me anything."
"Yeah. She wouldn't tell me even if her life had depended upon telling me." As soon as Megan finished talking, she noticed a figure head up to the roof. Was that...Hannah? Megan looked to Hayleigh. "Head to lunch. I'll meet you there." And with that, Megan disappeared behind the door leading up to the roof.
Looking around, Megan noticed her older sister and rushed over. "Hannah! What are you doing?" She knelt down and placed a hand on her shoulder.

Hannah felt a hand on her shoulder and jumped ."Don't!" she hissed before looking up to see who it was. Instantly, she looked down. "I'm sorry," she said instantly. Hannah didn't usually apologize, but since the attack, she had gotten into the habit of it. She threw the hard off the roof and watched it hit the concrete. She closed her eyes and hugged her legs.
This was definitely not Hannah. It was like watching herself from outside of her body. Everything was changed. The Hannah everyone knew was gone, murdered by the masked stranger who attacked her. And they didn't even know it.

The moment Hannah hissed don't at her, she removed her hand and continued to look at her sister. Hannah...apologizing? That wasn't like her at all. Hannah never apologized, not even to her family. "Hannah...what's going on? Something's seriously wrong."
Hayleigh was gonna just head to the caf like her sister had said, but she decided to head up to the roof as well. She opened the door and walked up the stairs. She looked over and saw both Megan and Hannah and walked over, looking at the two girls. But she wasn't sure if she should say anything just yet.

Hannah shook her head. "I'll get over it." Her words were hollow. Would she? Hannah didn't know if she would ever get over it. She could still see his cold, chilling eyes staring at her through that mask. She could still feel the pain surging through her body when he sent the electrical current through her. Everything was as vivid and painful as it was that night, even though it had been a week ago.
She wanted to get over it. Hannah wanted to be strong. She felt like she was breaking, though. She looked up at Megan, only to see Hayleigh. "You too?" she swallowed and looked back down at the ground. "I was trying so hard." She had obeyed the rules for once. And all it got her was near death. And why wasn't she dead? He meant to kill her. What made her so special that he had to make a mistake with her?

Hayleigh sat beside Hannah. "I've never seen you like this before. What happened?" She hated seeing her sister like this. It hurt to see her so scared.
Megan sat down on the other side of Hannah. "You don't always have to be strong, you know. Not everyone is strong all the time. You can talk to us. Always. We're family. And we all love you very much."

Hannah looked at Megan. "I've done so much to you. How can you still love me?" she asked softly. Hannah never thought she'd have to face guilt for all the trouble she had caused. She had been on the defensive, had that 'I'll-hurt-you-before-you-hurt-me' attitude. But when it came down to it, she found herself hating herself for it. And for being hated by Ben. She wanted her dad back, but didn't think it would ever happen.
She looked back at Hayleigh and again at Megan and swallowed. "You won't believe me." It was such an outlandish tale, she thought. But Chance could vouch for her. He was the one she had called, after all. Andre could, too. She said it out of fear, because if she was accused of lying about it then she would be so hurt that she wouldn't know what to do.

Megan looked away for a moment. "We're family. Of course I love you. Yeah, you've done alot. But...I haven't exactly been a great sister either. That doesn't mean we don't love eachother though. I'll always love you. Yeah, we may fight and say we hate eachother but....we're sisters. Sister's fight." She looked back to Hannah.
Hayleigh put a hand gently on Hannah's arm. "I'll believe you. We both will. You can tell us anything. No matter how bad or how hard it is to talk about. We'll always be here for you."

Hannah closed her eyes. "Dad...he let me go to the movies last weekend. I-I was out pretty late. But I got permission. I even tried to do things right and I left that stupid knife at home..." She felt tears stinging her eyes. Retelling the story of what happened wasn't what she thought it would be--it was ten million times worse. She broke off, closing her eyes as she started to cry.

Megan looked to Hayleigh before looking back to hannah. When she started to cry, Megan pulled her into her arms. "Shhh...what exactly happened, Sweetie?"

Hannah yelped when she hugged her "don't!" she whined. She couldn't be touched, not right now. Not by anyone but Marco, Chance, and Andre. "I-I don't want him to go after you." She knew she wasn't making any sense. But what could really be expected of her? She was traumatized.

Megan quickly pulled away and stood up? "After me? Who? What are you talking about, Hannah?" She was concerned for her older sister. Seeing her this way, it broke her heart. No one should ever have to be this afraid of life.

"I don't know! H-he was wearing a mask when he attacked me!" she finally exclaimed. "I don't know." she repeated with a whimper as she hugged her legs.

Hayleigh knelt down beside her older sister, and nodded. "Hannah...it'll be okay. Maybe not right now. But--things will get better. With time."
"Yeah. Hayleigh's right. And don't worry. You have people that love you. Me, Hayleigh, Matt, Jason, our parents....the rest of the family. We'll all protect you, sis."
