How could her father talk to her like that? He was her father! He should never say anything to hurt his own daughter. And that was what he'd done. He'd hurt her.
"Oh, I'm pathetic. When you cut your arms up just because you think your life sucks when you're the one who made it that way!"
Oh yeah. Right. She asked to be raped. She asked to have her whole life turned upside down. Matt was the only good thing in her life right now. And he was probably still out there. Somewhere. But what did she care? She didn't.
And now, she had no where to go.She still refused to go to her mother's. And now she refused to be anywhere near her father. She wanted to go to Matt. See if she could stay the night. But he wasn't home. And she wasn't about to tell his dad about what had happened. Not a chance. She did try calling again but it had gone straight to voicemail so she'd hung up. It had finally stopped raining and she was completely drench. Looking at her watch, it was already 9:30 at night. Where was she suppose to go? It's not like she had a whole lot of friends to turn to. Instead, she just kept roaming the deserted streets of Toronto.

Rumor traveled this road every night around this time, but it wasn't always this damp. Her small figure was drenched, but she was happy with herself, because well she had served her community like she always did feeding the homeless guys around here. She felt more accomplished when she got the chance to go to the kitchen which was often, but not so much durring cheer season, because she had a squad to lead. She shivered as she turned the corner hearing the guys on her block whistle. At first she just figured they were timing her, but she looked up to see another tiny frame walking the street.
Who was this crazy? This was the bad side of town she hated living here, but her mom was keeping her a dirty little secret. Hence she went to Lakehurst instead of Degrassi. If Craig saw her or something like that then he would know she was his? It was seventeen years ago Rumor really doubted it, but she liked Lakehurst, because that means that she got the chance to be cheer captain and just be different and not have to worry about hiding form the Mannings.
When, she got closer she reconginzed the girls face. She bit hre lip because she knew who she was and her mom told her not to associate with them unless she really had to until Ashley told Craig, about her. She couldn't just leave her though as she heard the guys whistle again. She kind of jogged up to her and gave a friendly smile. "Hey um this is the bad side of town." she warned her and looked up to her apartment window. "Come on or your going to get sick or worse." she said nodding to the door which led to the stairs to get up to her room. "Oh and if you don't talk to strangers well then I'm Rumor and that pretty much sums it up." she said trying to just get her to come up with her, because she'd hate to be the girl stuck out in the rain on the wrong side of town.

Marissa could hear those guys whistling. She wasn't sure who it was directed to, but she didn't care. She just had to much on her mind. She had no idea how her dad knew about sleeping with matt's cousin. Or the fact that he seemed to know about the whole STD thing.
"At least I'm not catching AIDS! You better get tested, little girl, before you go back to the hooker field"
She thought she had HIV. It wasn't like she could get tested. Marissa wouldn't have been able to find out until 6 months after. This was pure torture. But did that make it right for her dad to say that? She started to feel like he just didn't care anymore. But-it was her dad. She'd always looked up to him. She wanted to be like him. She'd admired him. But that wasn't the case anymore. Now she wanted nothing more to do with him. Or her mother. She wasn't gonna go back. Maybe if she talked to Matt, he would let her stay with him. No one else had to know. She just needed a place to sleep.
"Hey um this is the bad side of town."
Marissa looked up at the girl, quickly wiping her eyes. She didn't want anyone, let alone someone she didn't know, to know that she'd been crying. She smiled, weakly. "I'm Marissa." she said softly. "Are you sure? I don't wanna be any trouble."

Rumor smiled at the girl when she told her her name. Well, at least she could help her sister out secretly. She unlocked the first door and nodded her towards going in. "Yeah, I'm positive." she said waiting for her to enter. She had to admit she was pretty and she was kind of jelous of the fact that she actually had some sort of relationship with Craig their dad. She'd give anything for her mom to just tell him already. Even if the two of them end up hating eachother at least it would be something.
Well, when finally getting out of the rain she took her hood off and began to walk up the stairs. "So, if you want you can use the shower it will make you feel better and I haven't ate dinner yet so if you'd like your free to eat with me." she said trying to make converstation. Hey, it was a start.

Marissa walked into the building and followed the girl up the stairs. She smiled sweetly. "Yeah. That would be great. Thank you." Right now, she just felt horrible and she hated her dad for what he'd said to her. She was beginning to feel as though he hated her. After all, if he really loved her, would he have said those things? She didn't think about the fact that maybe he was drinking or something worse. And she wouldn't. He was her dad. He couldn't do something like that.
Marissa followed Rumor into the room and looked around. "Yeah. I'm actually pretty hungry myself. I didn't get to eat before-" She stopped. She just couldn't tell a girl that she didn't know about what had happened. "Where's your bathroom?"

Rumor locked the door behind her and looked out the peep hole to make sure nobody had followed them. Once she saw no one is when she turned her attention back to her with a wide smile. She took off her soakin wet jacket and opened the small little door where the washer and dryer were at and set it in the washer, because well she liked to wash her clothes so they didn't dry up and smell like rain. "I hope you like lasagna I made it this morning it will pry take maybe a half an hour to cook though." she said taking it out of the fridge and preheating the oven.
She got out some drinks for the two girls and nodded towards the small hallway. "Go into the master bedroom at the end of the hallway and turn on the light and use the master bathroom the water is so much better in there." she said with a nod. "If you want to borrow some clothes just in case the rain got in your bag feel free they don't bite." she said with a smile taking her drink to the couch after her oven quickly was done preheating and she stuck the food in.

Marissa looked around and back to the girl, smiling. "Thank you." She tightened her grip on the strap of her bag and turned walked into the bedroom and into the master bathroom, turning on the light. Wow. It was nice though. She could feel her teeth chattering, and she suddenly realized just how cold she really was. So setting down her bag, Marissa turned the water on hott, took off her clothes, and climbed in.
She stayed in there for about ahlf an hour, loving the warm water over her cold body. She tried to force herself not to cry. She didn't wanna be asked questions. Finally getting out, Marissa pulled out a pair of her jeans and her black long sleeved shirt. She tried off, put on her panties and bra and her jeans. She then looked at her arms. She stared at the cuts that were still there.
"Oh, I'm pathetic. When you cut your arms up just because you think your life sucks when you're the one who made it that way!"
The voice wouldn't leave her head and tears stung her eyes. She then placed her arms over her stomach and could hear it growling. 3 weeks. That was the last time she actually ate anything. She didn't really wanna eat anything. She hated the way she was. And apparently so did her dad. She would just have to change then. And maybe it wouldn't hurt to eat just a little. She could always just get rid of it, right?
Grabbing her bag, Marissa walked back to where Rumor was, but didn't say anything just yet.

rumor had been watching television and well marissa had been in the bathroom awhile, but she didn't think anything of it, because well hot water when you looked like you could turn blue from being soaked was always a good thing. she had tooken some pajama's out of the dryer and changed. she had lasagna and a drink on a plate for Rissa sitting next to her. "feel better?" she asked looking up at her with a smile she had been flipping through channels but she stopped at her guests presence.
she bit her lip and stood up. "hey marissa manning right can you keep a big secret?" she asked going to tell her who she was so maybe, she would feel better about staying her because she didn't look like she was confortable at all.

Marissa nodded. Yeah. She did feel much better. Hot water was always good when you felt so cold. She walked over and sat down and took a drink, looking back to the girl. She nodded. "I'm very good at keeping secrets."

Marissa's eyes widened in surprise. "Really? Are you serious?" She wasn't really upset or anything., In fact, she was kind of excited. "Wow. That's kind of awsome. How old are you?"

rumor let her lip fumble out of her mouth and let it turn into a smile. she was pretty happy that she didn't seem like she had taken it badly or anything. well it wasn't like the father was hiding her then she might just not like her. "yeah really." she said taking a drink of her water. licking her lip she set the plate down and flipped some hair over her shoulder. "im seventeen." she said with a shrug. "so you don't hate me?" she asked biting her lip.

Marissa smiled. "Of course not. I've always wanted an older sister. I'm the oldest. Well, me and my twin of course. So I'm use to looking out for everyone. But-I would really like to hang out, tonight or any other night. And get to know eachother." She looked down and bit her lip nervously. "Look, I know we basically just met and all, but-well-is there any way I could stay here for a few days. I have no where else to go. And I can't seem to get ahold of my boyfriend."

rumor smiled a little bit at the fact that she wanted to get to know her it was cute and well she wanted to know her siblings too because it was more family then she had now. it would be the most family that she had, because her mother was always gone all the time and if she was in town most times she was at the hotel. she nodded a little bit taking a drink of the water. "stay as long as you need." she said whith a shrug. "i don't have a roomate so, i don't mind and plus i would like nothing more then to get to know you."

Marissa couldn't help but smile. At least she wouldn't have to stay outside. "That's wonderful...Oh! I should introduce you to Matt sometime. He's 16 and my boyfriend. Well....actually, he's my fiancee." She held up her hand, showing her ring. "I'm in love with him. I'd actually think you might like him."
