The 9-year-old girl had gotten off the school bus and walked up the driveway to the house. Jessa walked in the front door and tossed her backpack on the floor. She ran into the kitchen and went straight to the refridgerator. She grabbed a soda and then headed into the living room and sat down on the couch, turning the TV on.

Matt ran home excitedly. The 11 year old had watched a very special video and couldn't wait to tell Aidan! He ran in the house "Jessa! Jessa! Where's Aidan?"

Jessa looked up at Matt and grinned. She set her soda down on the coffee table. "I don't think he's home yet." She looked back at him. "You look happy. Why do you look so happy?"

Jessa tilted her head. "Why not?" She stood up and looked to Matt. "But I wanna know too."

Jessa pouted. "Well, then, what's so great about being a girl if boys don't tell you nothin'?"

Jessa looked down. "Oh. Fine." She grabbed her soda from the coffee table. "I didn't realize that you had to be a boy in this house to get any attention from your brother." She shrugged. "Whatever, though. Maybe I'll just go in the back." She replied, heading toward the back door.

Jessa stopped suddenly, and decided not to go outside. Instead, she set her soda on the kitchen table and went upstairs and walked into Aidan's room. She bit her lip and opened the boys dresser drawer. She looked around, pulling out a white t-shirt and some jeans. She put them on and then pulled her hair up into a bun and put on a hat backwards. She then looked for a pair of boys sneakers and put them on. Then Jessa walked back downstairs and picked her soda can back up. She looked over to her brother, but didn't say anything. She was determined that she could be one of the boys, no matter what it took.
