Jack wasn't one to tell people what to do. He believed that they should make their own decisions, their own mistakes. But he loved Marissa. More than most people. He had to try and talk her out of this. If it was one thing that him and Craig agreed on, it was that she was fifteen and no way should someone so young be engaged. He didn't even like the boy. He just didn't trust him at all.
So, he had texted Marissa, asking her to come by his apartment. He was going to try to talk some sense into the girl.

Marissa was in her last class when she got Jack's text. With a sigh, she quickly texted back that she would come by after class let out. She put away her cell and looked back to the teacher, taking notes and writing down her homework assignment into her planner.
After the final bell, Marissa quickly headed to her locker before leaving the campus. What did Jack want anyway? He said that it was important. How important though?
She showed up at the building, found his apartment, and knocked on the door.

Jack sighed when he heard the knock on his door. He really didn't want to be doing this. Sure, he was family. But this just seemed like the father's job. He stood up and opened the door. "Hey! Marissa, how are you?" He hugged her, kissing her forehead.

Marissa grinned and pulled away. "I've been good. Really good actually. I mean, seriously, my life couldn't be any better than it is right now." Yeah, of course. She truly, deeply loved Matt. And she would go through any kind of pain as long as the two were together. Although, how big of a lie was that? She had no idea what was to come though. No idea of what he'd done with her very own sister. "Why did you ask me to come, anyway? You never aske me to come here."

Jack hated to do this. She really did seem happy. But the girl was growing up to fast. There were things that she needed to do before even thinking of marriage. Graduate high school, go to college, get a job, have fun and be a kid as long as possible.
Motioning towards the couch, he looked at her. "You should sit down for this."

Sit down? That was definetely not good. What was this about anyway? Did he know something? Had her dad talked to him? Shaking her head, Marissa took a step back. "No, I don't want to. Just tell me what you wanted." She retorted, folding her arms.

Jack looked around before looking back to his neice. "I heard about you and that Del Rossi kid." His tone was a little bitter when he said Del Rossi kid. But hopefully she hadn't noticed. "Your father told me."

Marissa narrowed her eyes. "No, no, no. You are not my father. You don't have the right to discuss my personal life. It's my own damn business, not yours." She turned to leave.

Jack grabbed the young girls arm. "You are not leaving!" He scolded her. "We are gonna talk about this! Now, tell me, what the hell are you thinking?? You are fifteen years old. A girl your age has no business being married. You have your whole life ahead of you." He hated this. He really did sound like her father!

Marissa narrowed her eyes. "No fucking way!" She pulled her arm away, shaking her head. "You are NOT my father! You can't tell me what to do!" She shoved him away from her. "Leave me alone! I'm marrying Matt whether you like it or not. No one can tell me what to do. You're not the boss of me."

Jack glared at his neice and slapped her. "Watch your mouth!" He scolded her, before grabbing her arm and making her sit down.

Marissa let out a yelp when he slapped her. "You can't do that! You're not my daddy! And even he's not aloud to slap me!" Okay, that definetely wasn't true. He usually did when she got mouthy with him.
