Marissa had come home (or technically to the Del Rossi's home) right after school. She hated having to stay here. Sure, being around Megan and Hayleigh were okay. But Ben and Hannah both sort of scared her. It's not like Aidan or Marco were around. Then maybe she wouldn't have felt so...scared. Not to mention that there were all these other people in the house that she'd never actually met before.
Marissa walked through the front door, and went straight upstairs and into Matt's room. She just looked around from where she was standing, and smiled, softly. She loved Matt, and she did want to marry him. More than anything. But being so close to his dad...that just sort of scared her.
Sitting down on the bed, Marissa pulled out her binder and began to work on her homework. She had to get caught up. Somehow, with all that had happened this year, Marissa seemed to have let her grades slip. So, she had to do all this extra credit work so that she could bring her grades up. Afterall, she did want to be valedictorian of her class when she graduated, right? Of course.
After a few hours of working on her school work, Marissa thought that she could use a break. So, she walked downstairs, quietly, and seeing that no one was in the living room, she went in there, sitting down on the couch. She turned on the tv and began flipping through the channels. She wasn't too hungry. But that was how she had been lately. Hardly ever eating, and she made sure that no one noticed that fact either.

This was going to be the hardest week of Marissa's life. Ben was going to make sure of it. "There you are!" he said with a grin "today's menu is pot roast and Matt usually makes dinner on Mondays so..." he smiled innocently. Actually it was more like Hannah who cooked but how would she know that?

Marissa looked up at Ben. "Uhm-okay." She nodded, and stood up. "I really don' mind. I usually love cooking. I do it for my baby sister all the time, just so we can talk and all." she smiled, sweetly. She just wanted to get (and stay) on Ben's good side.

Ben inwardly groaned. No, no she couldn't like cooking! That wasn't the plan! Smirking, he said "fine. Ok. Here's what I want. Buy some fresh fish from the market, skn it, take out the bones, soak it for a half hour, and fry it in almond extract and lemon. I want rice pilaf with it, and vegetables. Oh, and you need to pick up some lemons, because I fully expect freshly squeezed lemonade on the table"

Marissa looked up at him. Okay, sure, she liked to cook and all, but this was so confused. She'd never cooked anything like that before. "Uhm-o-okay. Well, I-I-uhm-I need some money, and-uhm-I-I sorta need a ride there."

Marissa nodded. "Uhm-o-okay." She stood up. "Where is she?" she asked quietly.

Ben shrugged "Figure it out"
