Everything seemed to have been going wrong for her. Well, at least Marissa found out she wasn't pregnant. Nope, it was just a pregnancy scare. Now the only question was... was she gonna tell Nikki? As mean as this may sound, she was actually thinking about not bothering on telling him. But do you really blame her? He made her life hell for the past month and a half. Now, Marissa just wanted to make Nikki suffer.
Yes, sleeping with Nikki was a huge mistake. Marissa knew that. And if she could, she would take it all back. She would even trade all the good things, just to have Matt back. Sure, she'd claimed to have loved JJ. And who knows? Maybe at the time, she meant that. But Matt? I'unno...there was just something very special about him. It was definetely a different feeling. And then she wondered if she should tell Matt about sleeping with Nikki. (Not knowing that he already knew.) But Scott told her not to tell. Should she even listen to her twin? Apparently he wasn't all that much of an expert on relationships. Scott doesn't even know that his sister knows. So, he didn't know that she was mad at him.
Marissa walked to High Park, sitting down on one of the swings. It was nine o'clock on a Friday night and her mother was gone for the weekend. So, Marissa wasn't concerned about being home at any certain time. She had her earphones in, listening to her ipod. 'This Time Imperfect' by AFI blared from her ipod.
Marissa sang along to the song, quietly. "I cannot leave here, I cannot stay, forever haunted, more than afraid. Asphyxiate on words I would say, I'm drawn to a blackened sky as I turn blue. There are no flowers, no not this time, there'll be no angels gracing the lines, just these stark words, I find. I'd show a smile, but i'm too weak, I'd share with you could I only speak, just how much this, hurts me...."Although, a noise from behind startled her and she pulled out her earphones, turning around.

Despite being grounded, Nicholas had left the house without telling anyone where he was going or that he was even leaving. While he didn't have any intention of getting in trouble, he needed to get out of that house. He had slipped out unnoticed so many times in the past and it really was easy for him. But, this time, he wasn't going out to party. He hadn't partied since he was arrested, and that was saying something. He was trying, but it was difficult. And lately, the entire world had lost its lustre.
He spent a lot of time trying to calculate when his life went to hell. Nikki wasn't an idiot, he was fully aware of where his mistakes were and the dangers that were in them. But, when it all started, it didn't seem so bad at all. He didn't know where he'd crossed the line, and what led to the sudden downfall. But, it felt like his world had caved in on itself. His drugs were taken from him, he had a record, he'd managed to get a girl pregnant, and now he was stuck with some disease that'd eventually kill him. Of course, right now, he didn't have a clue that it wasn't a true positive.
In an attempt to gather his thoughts, he walked to the park. His head was down, covered by the hood of his sweatshirt. Ever since the diagnosis, he knew that he should be telling people-- At least those he had slept with. But, half of the people he didn't even know, and Marissa-- Well, he had actually thought about not telling her. Why should he?
Speaking of-- When he saw the girl's figure ahead of him, he took a breath. Quickly, he pushed the hood off of his head and approached her from behind. "Hey! You." He addressed her. He didn't even know what he planned to do. Part of him pondered the idea of being nice about this and the other part of him thought that he could take everything out right here. But, he tried not to really listen to any conflicting thoughts.

Marissa turned to face Nikki, almost jumping slightly. But it was kinda late. She hadn't expected to see anyone else at the park. "Hey." she replied, with a bit of a sneer. It's not like she had any reason to be nice to him. "I gotta name, you know." She added, sarcastically. Marissa stuck her ipod inside her hoodie pocket, and sat back down on the swing.
"Why you talking to me anyway?" She retorted. "I figured after what I had told you, you'd try avoiding me whenever." Okay, so it had been a false pregnancy. But she was still contemplating on whether or not to tell him.

"Yeah, but I thought you'd appreciate 'you' over 'slut.'" Already this was off to a bad start. Nicholas helped it along that way, however. He hated being nice to her. In general, he had issues being nice to people that weren't up to his standards so to speak. And she just hadn't made the cut after what happened between them. His arms folded over his chest and he shook his head.
"Sorry, it's not my fault you happen to be everywhere." Like she was the reason he ran into her. It was by complete coincidence. He knew that he had things to tell her, but he still couldn't bring himself to it. He could barely admit it to himself, and he didn't feel that he owed her that. Not really.

"Sorry. But you're not really the type to be hanging around the park." Marissa replied, with a smirk. "I mean, shouldn't you be out getting some other girl pregnant?" She rolled her eyes. Yeah, what she was saying may sound mean in a sense. It was never something she would do, before this year, that it.
Sticking her hands in the front pocket of her hoodie, she stared down at the ground. "Why you here anyway?" Not exactly the nicest tone.

"Yeah, because that's a real hobby of mine." Nikki retorted sarcastically. She had been the only girl that he ever slept with. But, he never planned to tell her that. It wasn't anyone's business but his own and he had liked the idea that he slept with a lot of girls. People didn't see him as being different then.
To her question, he shrugged. "It's a park. I was going for a walk." He said, as if it was the most simplest thing. It felt like it'd be the most quiet place to think and that's really why he wound up there.

Marissa looked back up at Nikki, and stood up, suddenly. "This is my park. I come here. I really don't feel like seeing you here. Actually, I really didn't feel like seeing you at all." she hissed. No, Nikki didn't put her in the best of moods. All she wanted to do was to have some quiet, to think of things, alone.

"Too bad. You're seeing me anyway." Nicholas retorted. Well, he hadn't planned on seeing her either. Although, he knew that he was going to have to see her eventually. He liked the idea of avoiding her for the rest of his life. But, here she was and he was here too. That couldn't be ignored. Unfortunately, she only put him in a worse mood and he didn't know what could be accomplished that way.

Marissa just rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Is there a reason you even decided to talk to me?" she retorted. Marissa had bigger problems. She didn't need Nikki bugging the hell out of her too.

Yes. But, Nicholas didn't want to say it aloud. He had something to tell her, but he didn't actually want to. He'd rather leave it and let her figure it out on her own in the future. "Could be, I don't know, what do you think?" He asked, deciding to play games instead of getting down to it.

Marissa smirked, looking over at Nikki. "Gee, and maybe I needed to talk to you. Or maybe not." she shrugged. They both seemed to need to tell the other something. But neither seemed willing to do so.

From the looks of it, they both had something to share. But Nikki didn't know if he was willing to even tell her and from the looks of it, if she had something then she probably didn't want to tell him either. "Oh yeah? And what could you possibly have to tell me?" He asked.

Marissa pretended to think about that. "Hmmm. Maybe something small, maybe not. Maybe I do wanna say something, but then....maybe I don't." She smirked. No, Marissa really didn't wanna tell him. Was that wrong? Maybe. But he was such a jerk. Why should she even tell him.

"And maybe you should figure that out, because maybe I've got something big to tell you. Then again, maybe I just don't." He said, returning the same game. It was actually easier to do this than to actually say anything that he did want to say. Well, that he needed to say. He would really rather not say a word.

"Big, huh? Why don't you just come out with it. Unless, that is, you wanna be here all night." she smirked, not saying anything about what's been on her mind first.
