Marissa left her house, Saturday afternoon. She didn't even know where her mother was. She hadn't really been around a whole lot. But that was just fine by Marissa. It wasn't like she was getting into trouble since her mother wasn't there. She just enjoyed spending the time she ever got alone. It was the perfect time to think.
Thank? About what? About her ex? About how she missed her dad alot?About how she may have STD's? Just because of one little mistake? How she thought that she was pregnant? Which, thankfully, she wasn't. But yeah, there was a lot of stuff going through her head.
Well, today, today she decided that it was a day to get away of it all. To just have a little fun. Even if she was by herself. Which wasn't bad. Was it? So, she walked into the Departent Store and looked around. Maybe she would by herself a brand new outfit. Yeah, she had enough money on her.

Craig was supposed to be picking Angela up soon and was buying her a new hat. She loved hats. And that's when he saw his daughter. Smiling, he went up behind her and tickled her side

Marissa couldn't help but giggle. And when she turned around, her face lit up when she saw her dad. "Daddy." She smiled, giving him a hug.

"I've missed you to, daddy. I've been doing so much better. I'm not even getting into any trouble." Marissa replied, smiling. It was true. Apart from the situation with Nikki. But that was just a different kind of trouble.

"It is. And the best part is that I'm actually starting to feel like myself. I'm even going to group still." Marissa replied, proudly.

Marissa grined. She felt proud of herself. Sure, she couldn't change the past. But she was gonna try to change her future. She may even get her old life back, her christian life, that is. "Yeah. I'm really, really trying. And just want everything to go back to the way it was. Before everything got all screwed up."

Craig nodded "and you'll do it, too. I know you will" he said, kissing her forehead "and I know you'll take good care of your mom"

"I haven't been doing a very good job of taking care of her. I haven't even been speaking to her. And I feel bad about that." Marissa replied, with a small sigh.

Craig sighed "you know, just because I'm mad at her doesn't mean you have to be"

Marissa nodded. "I just don't want to be like all those other kids with divorced parents. And the parents say to their children that they'll be closer and it never happens. I'm just scared, I guess."
