WEARING;; HAYLEIGH'S OUTFIT
It was Thursday and Hayleigh did not feel like going right home after school. So instead she had walked to a nearby coffee shop, ordering herself a frappe. And once she got that, left. She sipped her drink as she walked down the busy street. There was just so much going on with her life. Hannah and Megan both getting hurt, almost getting killed. Jonathon hurting herself. It almost seemed as though the Del Rossi children could never catch a break. Now, didn't it? It just did not seem very fair. Lately, Hayleigh just felt so angry. At nobody and everyday all at once. She was just angry at the world, in general. She hated feeling like this. She wished that there was something that could distract her. But so far, nothing in her life seemed to work. Her life was a complete mess, was falling apart. And there seemed to be nothing that she could do about it, either.
Hayleigh just could not handle being at home right now. It was not easy anymore. She felt like her father cared less about her. And all Jonathon wanted was sex and some fun. She could only take so much before she breaks down completely. She sometimes wondered nowadays if her father even cared about her anymore. She couldn't help how she felt.
Sipping her frappe, Hayleigh somehow ended up at the park. How she got here? She had no idea.B But she was hear. And it was only 6:15. She really did not have to be home for awhile. So, she decided to avoid going back for as long as she could. Sighing, Hayleigh slowly walked over to a bench and took a seat. Sipping her frappe and looking around at her surroundings.

Her stomach was growling. Alice hadn't eaten in a couple of days. But as it got to be six, she knew that it was too late to try to do anything about it. She returned to the park, where she had made herself a small camp. It was time to get some sleep. Alice shivered as the wind blew, making her wish she had taken that man on his offer. But, she didn't know what kind of fun he wanted to pay her for. Something told her that he didn't want to play Monopoly. She was a naive girl, but her instincts told her to get away from the man. So, she had. It was just, she wished she could be inside.
She put her hat on, hoping it would help warm her. As she made her way to the tree, she didn't even see Hayleigh. She had come up on the other side, so she didn't pass the bench. Besides, she was exhausted. She had to be up and out of there before the people who tended to the park in the early morning hours got there. Otherwise, they might call the police. She sat up against the tree, resting her head against it. Hugging her legs to try and keep warm, Alice closed her eyes. It wouldn't always be like this, she knew. It was just temporary.

WEARING;; HAYLEIGH'S OUTFIT
There was so much going on at home. So much that she just could not get away from. And, truth be told, Hayleigh felt completely helpless. It reminded her of the way she felt when she was seven years old and still living under her father's roof. Of course, it was never as bad for her as it had been for Megan. It was the worst for Megan. And that was all Hayleigh's felt. If only her big sister had not been trying to protect her all of those years. Then maybe she would have had it better. Maybe. It was funny. Her the two girls were, living with parents that absolutely loved them both...And yet, her mind always tended to go back to their biological father. Had she done something to make him do all of those things to his own dauthers? Or maybe it was Megan that had done something. She was pretty rebellious back then. Always mouthing off. In school and at home, to their father. Just to their father. Never their mother. But she never liked to think badly of her sister. Because when it came down to it, she had been the only person that Hayleigh could count on back then. She had been the only person to ever show that she loved her. Even though at times she felt alone, she was never truly alone. Because she had Megan.
And now, here she was, back to where she first started. Feeling the same kind of pain and fear that her father inflicted onto both her and Megan. Was it just her? Maybe it was her. Maybe it was all her. Nobody else. Not even Jonathon. And then there was the Sniper. How he nearly killed Megan. What did the two girls do to deserve all of this? To never catch a break? It just never seemed fair. Now did it?
Taking in a deep breath, Hayleigh took yet another sip of her frappe and looked up as the moon seemed to be higher up in the sky. How it just seemed to be getting darker than before she sat down here on this bench. And that was when she heard a small noise. Like footsteps. Hayleigh looked around and then noticed a figure off in the distance. Getting to her feet she started walking. “Hello?” she called out. And as she got closer, she noticed who it was. “Alice?” She kneeled down in front of her. “Hey.”

Alice heard a voice and opened her eyes, looking at her. "Hayleigh?" She was the only person she knew in this entire city, aside from the priest. But why was she here? Hadn't she forgotten about her? Alice had expected her to. She was easily forgotten, she knew that. Someday, she was going to find out why. She would track down her mother and cry at her and demand to know why she was forgotten while her sister (that she only found out about from Hayleigh) had been adopted. The young girl had a lot of anger in her, a lot of frustrations. But, she kept them locked inside, to herself.
"Why aren't you home?" she asked her. Hayleigh had a home, unlike Alice. She didn't understand why she wasn't at home, inside, out of the cold and the dark. With a full meal in her stomach. And for that matter, why was she bothering herself with Alice? She just didn't get it. Her hand rubbed against her cold arm as she stared at the younger girl. She had the life that Alice wished she could have. Maybe someday, she would have it. A family of her own. A bed. People that wouldn't make her take pictures or make movies.

WEARING;; HAYLEIGH'S OUTFIT
Why wasn't Hayleigh at home? Easy. Jonathon was there. She just did not want to have to till with her father's so called boyfriend. And yes, she always worried about what if both her parents got a divorce. And then what? What if Ben married Jonathon? Then she'd just go ahead and kill herself. It was better than allowing Jonathon to do it for her. There was just no way in hell that Hayleigh was about to allow that to happen. Maybe if this continued, maybe she could run away to go live with her other father. He wouldn't abandon her as well, now would he? She did not believe so. But Hayleigh did not know how to answer Alice's question. But this was not about her. Not in the least. This was about this girl in front of her. The girl who had no home. The seventeen year old Alice. The girl that was the twin sister to Hannah Del Rossi. And she really did want to help her out.
Hayleigh smiled, sweetly. “It really doesn't matter why I'm not at home, Alice.” In her mind, Hayleigh had no home. She no longer wanted to have a home. Not if Jonathon was part of that equation. “Do you need a place to sleep?” She asked, kneeling down in front of her. “I could help you out. You could stay at my dad's.”

Alice bit her lip when she asked her the question. Alice did need a place. Sleeping out here in the park, it wasn't easy. But, she had been fighting for freedom. She just needed to be careful about what she agreed to do for a place to sleep. She didn't answer Hayleigh at first. Didn't Hannah live at her father's house? She didn't know how it would work. She didn't think there was a place for her, was there? Biting her lip, she stared at the ground before looking back up at her, a childish, scared look in her eyes. Finally, she opened her mouth to speak.
"What would I have to do?" she asked, swallowing. She decided it wouldn't be so bad, as long as sex wasn't involved. She didn't know what rules would be imposed. But Hayleigh seemed to be normal. So it couldn't be too bad, right? She trusted her. Hayleigh wouldn't make her do anything bad. At least, she didn't think she would. Honestly, she didn't know the girl. But she seemed to want to help. If she didn't, why else would she be here? She could have just walked away when she found out that Alice wasn't the girl she thought she was; wasn't Hannah. But she didn't. So that told her something at least.

Really, Hayleigh probably should have talk to her siblings first before asking alice if she needed a place to stay. But she just could not help it. She hated having to see Alice living out her, in the cold. So scared and completely alone. Nobody should have to. Everybody deserved a place to sleep. Alice did, too. Everything would be okay. She would take her back to Marco's and talk to Jessa and Hannah both. They would understand. They would want to help to. Right? She was so sure of it. And Alice would not have to do nothing. Well, nothing much, at least.
“You would not have to do anything, Alice. Well, nothing much at least. I'm doing this because I like you. You're my friend. And I truly want to help you out. Nothing in exchange. I promise.” She looked around the park. Hayleigh did not want her to sleep out her, at night, all alone. Especially with the Sniper out there somewhere. “You'll pretend to be Hannah. That's all you'll really have to do. I can take you there now. Introduce you to Jessa and Hannah. Jessa can look after you while you're at the house. She would totally do it. She's awesome. You'll really like her.”

Alice listened to her. Pretend to be Hannah? She wasn't sure she could do that. But, she could try, anyway. She could probably learn. Being someone else sounded nice. Alice would love to be someone else. She hated the way her life was, the way she was. She hated herself. Pretending to be Hannah sounded like a good escape. And something she was willing to do. Especially if she got to meet Hannah. Ever since she found out about her, Alice had wanted to meet her. But she didn't want to barge in on anybody's life. Alice had no right to barge in on anyone's life. And she knew this. And really, being out here wasn't that scary. Of course, she didn't know about the Sniper. If she did, she would be less comfortable out here. Way less. But she had no way of knowing.
Smiling, she looked up at her. It sounded wonderful. She didn't know who Jessa was, but she had always wanted a mother! "You mean...I'd get to meet my sister?" And she'd get a mother. She was mainly dwelling on just that. But she didn't want to sound like a baby. With a nod, she stood up. "Ok. Sure. Yeah! Thank you, Hayleigh!" And all at once, she hugged the girl, clutching her neck. She hadn't felt this happy in so long. That was the feeling, right? Happiness. Wow. No wonder people liked it so much. She hoped that it would be like that from then on.
