Hayleigh knew that her brother was back from Italy. And really, he was not so sure that he knew about how and why Megan was in the hospital. He had to know. Her sister...she was so scared. She wasn't sleeping very well at all. And she was sure that Megan would like to see her brother. It probably would mean a lot to her. Actually, she knew it would. She sometimes talked to her sister.
Grabbing her purse, Hayleigh got onto the public bus. She decided not to just call his cell phone. This was really something that she should really tell him in person. Face to face. It was the right way to do it. After the bus made the stop she needed, Hayleigh got off and headed down the street, finally reaching the house. She walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell.

"Math sucks, math sucks, math sucks," Aidan sang in the tune of one of the catchy pop tunes playing over the radio while he stared down at his text book. He had been homeschooled for a few months now and while he sometimes missed being at school, he hadn't been ready to go back for a while and he was fine finishing his year out this way. His dad tended to help him with his work, though with him not home right now, he didn't have anyone to ask about the problems on the page. He was ready to give up, to throw the book aside and play a video game. He had plenty of time to finish the work. It was when he was about to close to book that he heard the doorbell ring and jumped up from his place next to the coffee table. He had been sitting on the floor, cross-legged in front of it. "Coming!" He called out, before he reached the door and opened it up. As soon as he saw his sister, he grinned.
"Hayleigh!" He had no idea that she was there for an important reason or that anything was wrong with his other sister. Had he known, he wouldn't have been sitting there. He missed his siblings. Italy was fun, but it wasn't home and even though he had the occasional rivalry with his siblings, he loved them and got along all right with each one. What siblings didn't fight sometimes? It was the natural way of things. "What's up?" He asked, a little excited to see her. It had been a while and he was so bored with his homework. He wanted a distraction away from it. He could go back to it later, there was nothing urgent to it. And seeing Hayleigh was a lot better than stupid math. God, he hated math.

Hayleigh tried to smile, but it hardly did any good. She was worried for her sister. So worried. The one person that she literally grew up with. Okay, so she wasn't dead or going to die. The doctors helped her. But it wasn't even Megan anymore. Hayleigh went to the hospital. Almost everyday. But Megan...she was completely broken.
"Aidan...It's so good to see you." she threw her arms around him, giving him the biggest hug she had ever given him. She swallowed, pulling away. She was forcing herself to not cry.
Hayleigh looked into her brother's eyes. God, she had really missed him. She loved all her siblings. "Aidan...There's a problem...We should go to the hospital." She spoke softly. "You should go visit Megan. Someone tried to kill her. I think it would mean alot if she saw you." Hayleigh nodded. "But I should warn you...she's not Megan anymore. She's different. She's scared. Of everything. I'm sorry I came to tell you this. But-I heard you were back. And you have a right to know. She's your sister too."
