Who was he to say no to Willow Santos? Jack he ad honestly never had a big birthday bash before. Amery had quiet little outings with his parents. Seventeen was huge, according to the queen bee, and she wouldn't let him get away with not throwing a party. Especially when the last one went so well. And, of course, the clique made sure that everyone knew that the boy was turning seventeen. So, he relented and sent out invitations.
Just as he had last time, he put a padlock on the basement door, pocketing the key. He especially didn't want anyone going down there, since he hadn't finished getting rid of his last victim. He wasn't going to spend the entire night worrying. Not when it was his birthday.
He had learned a lot in that last party that he had thrown, after the game. He had learned that pizza was important, as was beer. So, this time, he had plenty of both. He had even bought Brooke her own small pizza and case of soda, making her promise to stay in her room with the door locked. Hey, it was better than locking her in the basement, which he had considered doing. But this just seemed to be the better solution.
With the pizza to one side, and beer in the kitchen, he opened the front door. It was almost eight, and as he suspected, people were already starting to show. The birthday boy had his best charming smile on his face. Well, here went nothing.

Alice needed to be gone for the day. She understood why; Hannah and her brothers and sisters had gotten their parents back together. She needed to wait until it settled down and they were in the new house before she could get back in. Hannah was grateful for everything the Del Rossi's did for her, really. The girls had gotten her in the house. She was now had a warm place to sleep, even if it was in Hannah's closet. She gave her sleeping bags and made sure she was comfortable enough to sleep. And, she had loaned her clothes. One thing that the girls realized--when she had Hannah's clothes, they really were hard to tell apart. Alice had never even known she had an identical twin before. But now, she was grateful for it.
She was wearing one of her favorites of Hannah's outfits, when she was approached by someone. She had no idea who this bubbly, blond girl was, and she wasn't sure how she knew her, since she talked too fast to really understand her. But, from what she got from the conversation, the girl thought she was Hannah, told her that some guy (Jack, was it? She wasn't sure) was having a birthday party, and she just had to come. Alice wasn't sure what to do, and she started to say now, until the girl said something about spending the night at her place afterwards.
So, she was here, ready to try being Hannah, if only for one night so she had a place to crash while the real Hannah moved. Alice wasn't too sure what she was doing, but so far, nobody had pointed at her and accused her of being an imposter. When she spotted the pizza, she bit her lip and approached it, grabbing a slice. She took a bite, looking around. She didn't really have to socialize. She didn't mind if people ignored her. She had food, and the blond would show up soon enough. Alice was content.

This was going to be the best day ever!
Natasha was excited. Not only was there a party to go to (she adored Friday nights!), but she was bringing her sister along with her. And then, as if it couldn't get any better, she had run into Hannah on her way to the mall to get Jack a birthday present. And, the girl had agreed to go! Hannah had never gone to a party with Natasha before. That just made today that much more perfect. Especially after the dance, a party was what they needed, she thought. And hey, Jack only lived across the street. It was easy to walk back home. That way, they didn't have to worry their parents. Natasha was worried about her daddy. Especially after losing her cousin like that. But, he insisted that he was fine. And he wouldn't lie to her, right?
Natasha walked in, wearing her signature color, feeling confident and happy. Yes, happy. Natasha had been faking happiness for a while after JT left. But, now she was ready to do this. She was loving her dress, and she was actually in a happy mood. Her hands were full with the present that she had bought Jack, and when she walked in, she spotted a table that a few other people had placed theirs on, so she did as well. With that done, she looked around for the birthday boy.

Parties weren't normally her thing.
Well, okay. That wasn't exactly true. Erica didn't really know if they were her thing. Since, she had never really been to a party before. But, she had never wanted to, either. But there was something different about tonight. Jack had told her about this. Honestly, she didn't even realize that he knew her name. It impressed her, since she didn't think anyone knew her name. But, he had, and with that charming smile of his, Erica had practically melted. She might have been an outsider (or at least, that was how she felt), but she wasn't immune to cute boys. He had asked her if she would come. And, before she knew it, her IQ had dropped and she had nodded with a giggle.
Her dad didn't know she was here. But really, would he care? Erica didn't think he would. He cared only if she did something that got negative media attention. Her father cared about looks, and that was about it. Well, looks and his reputation. Sometimes, Erica tried to get his attention. But not today. Today, she was taking a break from life. She was going to be daring today. So, when she showed up, she had an envelope for Jack with a fifty that she had borrowed from her brother. And, she was even wearing a dress that her mother had bought her but she had yet to actually wear it.
She followed Natasha in, silent as a mouse. Her eyes followed the girl as she set her gift down, and once Natasha walked away, she, too, went up to the table and laid her envelope down. She bit her lip and looked around. Now what?

Those four words that Stacey had been anticipating, yet dreading at the same time had been uttered.
The adoption is finalized.
So, what did that mean? She couldn't be sent back? No matter what she did? Is that how it worked? She knew that it meant that he didn't get any money for keeping her anymore. It also meant no more allowance from DCS. But Stacey didn't care. It was never about money to her. It was about wanting a family. And with the money out of the way now, she would be able to tell if it was about the money with Adam--dad. That word sounded so odd. She hadn't called him dad at all. When he first took her in, she had called him Mr. Torres. That was over two years ago. Nowadays, she called him Adam. Even though he told her, he would be adopting her. Which meant, he would be her father. She knew that at any time, he could change his mind. Send her back. Decide she wasn't worth it. She had wanted to keep her distance, so that when he sent her back, she wouldn't cry.
But now it was finalized. And to be honest, she had mixed feelings about it. So, instead of talking it out with him, she decided to ignore those feelings and go to a party. She put on her sexiest dress and appeared. She didn't have a gift for Jack. No, because the bracelets on her wrist her his gift. She was going to have a little bit of fun tonight, even if it killed her or got her in some trouble.

Isaac was learning real quick that when it came to certain girls, English wasn't always necessary.
Take Willow Santos, for example. The girl couldn't care less that he didn't know much English. Honestly, he had been watching her with other people. She didn't listen, anyway. She listened for tones. It was obvious. Which, was fine for him since his tone with her was always flirty. There wasn't much to be said between them, especially when smiles and looks said it all. And in their unspoken language, he knew that if he showed up at this party, he would get to sleep with her.
So, that was why he showed up tonight. Though, checking out the other girls who were in here, he wouldn't mind sleeping with a few of them, as well. He walked past his sisters, ignoring them for the moment. He didn't mind getting to know them at home, like Andrew wanted him to do. But here? He was here for fun. He was here to sleep with as many girls as he could, and try to set a record. He was here to use every single condom he had in his pocket. He wasn't here to chat up the girls.
Making his way into the kitchen, he grinned when he saw the beer on ice in the sink. "That's what I look for," he said to Jack as he grabbed one and opened it. He took a long drink and sighed. Man, he missed this. That was one disadvantage to not being in Europe anymore. The drinking age is no longer fifteen, but nineteen. And Isaac hadn't had a drink since he got here. And man, did he miss it!

She was tired of being cute
That was how most guys would describe Yasmine Isaacs. She was sweet, she was nice to be around. And she was cute. Sometimes adorable. It all meant the same thing. She was the one that nobody wanted. It wasn't anything against her. She was just the little sister type. But she didn't want to be the little sister type. She wanted to be the girlfriend type. All of her sisters were the girlfriend type. Even Mallory, and the girl wore nothing but overalls and striped shirts. Willow and Nessse, they were definitely the girlfriend types. Yasmine decided that, just once, she wanted to step into their shoes. She wanted to see what it was like to be treated like they were. No, Yasmine didn't want to be cute anymore. She was tired of it. She wanted to be sexy.
She didn't fit into Willow's clothes. She tried, while Willow wasn't home. But, she couldn't. The girls didn't have the same bone structure, and Yasmine wore different sizes. So, when she went to her dad's, she had gotten into Nesse's closet when she wasn't home. And she fit her stuff. Yasmine fished through her clothes, and picked out one dress that she didn't think Nesse would miss. After all, she hardly ever wore this dress. And, what was one item? She didn't think it would matter.
She took her hair out of the pigtails she normally had her hair in. Pigtails were too cute. Instead, she had straightened her hair. She then slipped into a pair of red heels that were supposed to be saved for her fourteenth birthday. Well, she didn't care anymore. She would risk getting into a little bit of trouble for this.
Everyone knew about Jack's birthday party. Yasmine had snuck out of the back door, not wanting to be seen by her mother or her siblings. She just didn't feel like being taunted or made to feel stupid. She had stuck her heels in the basket of her bike, riding it to the party, and after parking her bike behind the house, slipped her shoes on and walked inside. She heard a wolf-whistle as she walked through the house, going to where the pizza was at. A smile grew on her face. She liked the whistles, the stares. Yeah, she could definitely get used to this.

If only her dad knew what she was up to.
When the fifteen year old left the house, she hadn't said where she was going. Nor had she allowed her parents to see what she was wearing. It wasn't hard to do. Her dad was off at the hospital handling things, and her mom was in a wheelchair. Her dad was a strict disciplinarian. She would probably be reacquainted with his belt if he saw the way she was dressed. But, she rarely was in trouble. The reason was simple--he was never there. She had no reason to be afraid of consequences when he wasn't even there. And, he didn't really believe that she could do things like this. She was his little princess, who could do no wrong. Violet Maxwell definitely had her dad wrapped around her finger. She was completely used to getting what she wanted with him.
At school, she had to work a little harder. All she wanted was to be friends with Willow Santos. Violet would honestly do anything to be friends with her. And if it meant wearing things that she normally wouldn't and taking major risks with her dad, then she would do it. Willow had told her to be here, and to not dress like a loser. So, Violet had gone shopping, and she showed up wearing a brand new outfit. She felt naked, but she would never admit to it. Because, she might actually have a shot at being friends with Willow.
She walked in, ignoring the pizza. Normally, she'd be scarfing it down, but she knew that the clique had higher standards than that. And if she was going to have to give up pizza, then she might as well start now.

She didn't really feel like partying. All she wanted was to hide in the house and never come back out. Rachel knew, she knew that her circumstances no longer deemed her fit to hang out with Willow. But, she wasn't admitting it to Willow. As far as she knew, the older girl didn't know that the fifteen year old was trying to get on student welfare, so she didn't have to go into foster care. And she was sure that she would have known immediately if Willow knew. Because, she would have dumped her. Not that Rachel really wanted to hang out with her. But she needed to. Because as long as she did, they were being nice to Marissa. Rachel knew once Scott went into his coma, that someone would need to protect the Mannings. And that was what she had been doing.
It's also why she went to Jack's party. She needed to keep up appearances. The clique always did things together. If Rachel hadn't shown up, it would have made Abigail, Neveah, and worst of all, Willow, look bad. She couldn't do that to her. So, she walked up to the house, wearing her best dress, head high, hand on her waist, looking for the queen bee and her other minions.

This was way better than tragic crying, moaning about loss, and yes, hanging.
Willow didn't like dealing with tragic things. Like the dance. Sure, she had her moment where she wanted to be nice and goody-goody, after seeing that creep hurt her sister. But, Abigail snapped her out of it, and she was thankful that she did. Because, Willow's world didn't have room to deal with this sort of thing. She wanted to party, to have fun, to go on with her life. She completely agreed with Mr. Snyder when he said they should just move on as normally as possible. Of course, Ms. Aden didn't seem to think that they should. So, yeah, she got her in trouble for dwelling on it instead of moving ahead with her lesson plans. She wasn't doing her job.
Willow was going to go crazy if she heard one more person moan and groan about what happened. She wanted an escape, wanted a party. But really, she knew better than to throw one herself. Hello, her mother's best friend was dead. She wasn't an idiot. So, she would have to convince someone else to throw a party. And when, in the midst of conversation, she found out that Jack's birthday was coming up, Willow saw this as her golden opportunity. Jack had thrown a party before the dance, and it had been fantastic. So, she decided to coax him into throwing one.
She had done well. She decided this as she walked in, wearing a new dress. After all, this was her idea. She nodded approvingly before looking around, trying to spot her girls. They had better be here. She had made it clear that it was not optional. Willow decided that if they didn't, it wouldn't take much to drop them and get a new set. But, that would take work. So, they just better be here.

He wasn't supposed to leave. At least, he hadn't asked if he could. Travis wasn't used to actually acknowledging the authority of foster parents. He had been a foster kid since he was twelve. He remembered the noises, the shooting, the yelling. His mother had lived on the bad part of town, was a hooker and had gotten involved with the wrong John's. Of course, he never admitted to any of that. As far as anyone he meets knew, his mother died giving birth to him. They never did find out who his father was. But, she was only twelve when she got pregnant with him. It was his fault, really. Because if it weren't for him, she would have been in college, instead of trying to care for him.
They had moved him to Toronto from Stouffville just last week. Into a new city, new school, new foster home. He had been told the same thing as he was told before. But, he didn't really believe it. In the past year alone, he had been in thirty-three different homes. It was hard to believe that this home would be the last, when he was always moving around. He wasn't a bad kid. Sure, he liked to take off without telling anyone where he was going. And he once took off his belt and hit one of the foster parents' kid. But, for the most part, he was a good kid. He just had some discipline issues that needed to be worked out.
He had left the house, sneaking out of his window, and had been walking around, when he saw the group of kids that seemed to be flocking into a house. That had to mean one thing. Travis bit his lip as he looked around, deciding to go ahead and go in. Maybe he could make a few friends? He noticed that some of them had beers in their hands and his eyes widened. He had never been around beer before. Part of him was dreading it, while part of him was excited. Maybe this whole moving to Toronto thing would be good for him.

MARISSA'S OUTFITIt was hard this year. The fifteen year old had gone through so much that year. And maybe a party was just the thing that Marissa Manning needed. She had not been all that social at school or anyway lately. After the dance, Marissa just seemed so depressed. There was just a part of her that wished she had died at the dance. Marissa wished that the masked man had just gone ahead and killed her. But, no. Marissa had to survive. Of course. It was just getting so hard to live. She felt so screwed up and felt like her entire world was crumbling down around her. And maybe a party would be a good idea. Jack was throwing it, which in her opion, was pretty cool. She liked Jack. Sure, she's never talked to the boy before. But did that really matter. And really, the girl was just so freaking tired of feeling like some outcast loser. No, tonight, Marissa wanted to be anyone but herself. Marissa just did not want to be herself anymore. Marissa just wanted to go to the party. She did not bring a gift for Jack. She walked down the street up to Jack's house and looked down at her outfit. She smirked. It was perfect. Definitely not like herself at all. Which is exactly what she was going for. She walked into the house and looked around. But she did not want to just go up to some random person and mingle. That just was not her. Instead, she walked over to a chair and sat down, watching the other students there. ASHLEIGH'S OUTFITAshleigh was a little nervous attendin a Degrassi party and all. After all, she was a Lakehurst student. But Natasha seemed like she wanted to bring her little sister along. Which was perfectly okay with her. She loved her big sister and would do anything for her. For hours, she looked through clothes, trying to find the perfect outfit. But instead, Ash ended up at the mall with Natasha and bought herself a brand new dress for just the night. And she was pretty happy about her choice. When the sisters arrived at Jack's, Ash looked around. “I can't believe that I'm actually at a Degrassi party. This is so fantastic.” She definitely sounded excited. NEVAEH'S OUTFITIf only Nathan knew what his daughter was wearing to some party. There would have been no chance in Hell that he would have allowed her out of the house dressed like this. But Nevaeh Forrester had something to prove. She needed to prove herself. And to who? To Willow Santos. She needed the queen bees approval if she was ever expected to be allowed to be part of Willow's clique. And Nevaeh wanted that more than anything. She wanted that more than life itself. She had to sneak out of the house of course. Because she could not let her father see what she was wearing. Walking into the house, Nevaeh ooked around before finally spotting Willow. She hoped that she approved of her outfit. She walked up to the queen bee. “Hello, Willow.” ARIA'S OUTFITParties were not really her thing. Aria perferred to go out with her bad ass friends, getting high or drunk. But apparently, her mother did not agree to her idea of fun. And how Lexi knew about some high school party, Aria would never know. But her mother was making her go. She thought that it would be a good way for the teen to make some friends. Hopefully the kind that were not into drugs and such. And she woulda ditched going, but her mother insisted on driving her. And so, now she was stuck at this place. A place that she really did not want to be at. Welll, at least there was one good thing about this party. There was beer. Aria walked over, grabbed herself one and taking a drink. JESSA'S OUTFITLife was seeming pretty good for Jessa Del Rossi. Her parents were back together. Her family was finally back together. Could life get anymore perfect? Not very likely. Living in the Del Rossi home, it was the only home she had ever really known. Sure, her attitude had been pretty aweful these past several weeks or so, but that was then. And this was definitely now. So, in short, Jessa was in a pretty good mood. And being in this good of a mood, what better place to go then to a party. She was back to being her usual happy-go-lucky self. She wore an outfit that made her feel good about herself. Sure, it might not have been sexy or slutty or whatever, but she felt comfortable in it and confident as well. She walked into Jack's house and looked around, her eyes suddenly landing on Hannah. Or so she thinks. She immediately walked over to the older girl. “Hannah? I'm surprised to see you here. Parties never seemed to be your thing.” LUX'S OUTFITLux had never been to a party her entire life. She had never even once had a party for herself. How could she? Lux Mitchell practically grew up in the system. Most of the homes she had been in, all she was ever considered was a paycheck to them. But did any of them ever really want her? There was that one foster mother. But thanks to this other girl living there, Lux only winded up blackmailing the woman. If that had not happened, then maybe Lux would have finally had a home a long time ago. That was all Lux ever really wanted her entire life. Was to have a family. And now she might actually get that wish. But the problem was, what if Dominic adopted her? And then what if her father...her real father...showed up. She just could not get adopted. She couldn't! When hearing about Jack's party, how could she say no? Lux had never had a chance her entire life to attend a party. This seemed almost like a dream come true. And she had to admit...Lux was totally pysched about it. She actually heard about the party from Mitch since the older teen was planning on attending. So, she had gone up to him and asked if maybe he could give her a ride. And she was happy when Mitch said that he would be happy to. She really did like the boy. He seemed like a very decent guy in her opinion. So, Mitch dove the two to the party and Lux got out going straight inside, Mitch followed closely behind her. “You know.” Mitch took a hold of Lux's arm gently. “I know you haven't really been here very long so if you want, you can hang out with me. I promise not to let anything happen to you.” Lux smiled sweetly. Yeah, he was definitely the nicest guy she knew. She gave him a hug. “Thanks, Mitch. That's very nice of you. But I think I'll be okay. But if anything is wrong, I'll let you know.” Mitch nodded, hugging her back. “Well, I'm practically your big brother now. Almost. It's kind of my job to protect you. If you want to go home, just let me know. And we're out of here.” “Okay, I will. Promise.” CHAPIN'S OUTFITIt had been years...years since Chapin Hayden had last been in Toronto. But back then, she had been a real geek. An award teenager, just 13-years-old, who had dark brown hair and wore glasses. A young girl who was extremely book smart and loved attending her classes. But that just was not Chapin anymore. She had changed during her time away from Toronto. She had been living in Miami, Florida. And during her time away, Chapin had dyed her hair blonde and got herself contacts. She had quickly become part of the in-crowd, popular. And she wanted to keep that up. She was not as nice as she once had been. What can you say? Ime can change everything. And time had certainly changed her. But now she was back and when hearing about a party, she just could not miss out. Now could she? Absolutely not. So, walking into the house, the first thing the teen did was grab herself a beer, taking a sip.

Everything was perfect. Jack decided that as he came down the stairs, whistling cheerfully. This might actually turn out to be a pretty good birthday. And maybe, he wouldn't let one of these little tamales leave alive. His eyes scanned at all the girls. He was in pure heaven. Some of these, he had planned their deaths the night of the dance. And it hadn't been for that girl, they would be dead. Maybe he'd choose someone special. Put her out of her misery. But who? The house was so crowded, it was hard to tell who was all here. Well, he might as well make the rounds.
Walking past Jessa, he set a hand on her shoulder. "Welcome, lass," he spoke to her, winking at her. He nodded to a few of the other girls. When his eyes settled on the blond, he smiled. Approaching Lux, he put on the charm, nodding to Mitchell as he did so. "Hey, Lux, Mitch." Jack was getting good at learning names. Even the people who seemed to not be as popular, he knew their names. He had discovered that it was part of his charm, to know their names when they thought they were invisible. "Thanks for coming. I was hoping you'd show." Had he? Not really. But, he wanted to talk to her, see if she might be worth killing. Who knew? Maybe she was special

Alice looked up when she heard Hannah’s name. She swallowed and looked around. “It-it’s not?” she frowned. Maybe she should have asked Hannah before coming. Alice hadn’t thought of that. She had been thinking of how nice it would be to not have to go back to the park until they were ready for her again. She looked around before giving Jessa a panicked look. “I won’t be in trouble, will I?” she whimpered out. She didn’t know how these things worked! What if only certain people were allowed to go? What if she didn’t belong here? Well, she knew that she didn’t belong. But, she wasn’t being herself. She was supposed to be Hannah. But what if Hannah wasn’t supposed to be here, either? Alice really didn’t know how this world worked. She was still getting used to being away from the world she grew up in.
“I’m sorry, Jessa. The blond asked me to come.” She should have asked permission. She knew that. Jessa had been taking care of her. Even though she was younger, she was like a mother to her. She had been the one that Alice learned to rely on when Hannah wasn’t home and she needed something. Suddenly apologetic, Alice felt like she should have talked to her before coming. “I won’t do it again, I-I promise. Please don’t be mad.” She couldn’t stand the thought of Jessa being mad at her. She hadn’t seen Hayleigh since shortly after she took her to Jessa’s house. She heard Hannah say something about Hayleigh being arrested. She didn’t say why, though. Alice was worried. What if Daddy found out? What if he knew who had helped her and got her arrested for it? What if Jessa was next? She really should be careful of who found out.

While she hadn’t really admitted it outspokenly, Natasha had found herself extra clingy to her sister since JT left. All she really wanted was to be over him. She wanted to be past the part where her stomach did belly flops and she felt like someone was hitting her chest. Because, she really did not like that feeling. It wasn’t very nice. It made her want to cry. Natasha didn’t like talking about unpleasant things, so there were some things Ashleigh didn’t know about, like her rape or the fact that she had been in love with their school’s mascot. When JT left, he took a piece of her with him. And what was more, it was her fault. She turned him down on the whole long-distance thing. She just didn’t think it would work.
Of course, when she was invited to Jack’s birthday party, she wanted to go. She wasn’t grounded ,and it was nice. But, she wouldn’t go without Ashleigh, either. Hearing her sister, she looked at her and smiled brightly. “Just wait until you meet everyone!” she insisted and looked around. There were just so many people, it was hard to choose! Finally, her eyes settled on Abigail and, grabbing her sister’s hand, rushed right to the girl. “Abigail, hi! Oh my god, I love your dress! It’s so pretty! Isn’t this a fabulous party?” she let out a giggle, practically bouncing as she talked to her. She figured they were friends, since she had helped Willow at the talent show. Of course, she had no idea that the paint was meant for her to begin with. How could she? Letting go of Ashleigh’s hand and putting her arm around her sister’s shoulder, she continued. “I want you to meet my sister! Her name’s Ashleigh! Ash, this is Abigail Stevens, one of the absolute coolest and nicest girls in school!” Coolest, maybe, but nicest? Anyone listening in might argue with Natasha. But, in the eyes of the blond, everyone was nice.
